I canceled my debt settlement agreement within 3 days of signing. As a result, $1000 was taken out my bank account and paid to one of my creditors without my consent as a form of retaliation.Century Support Services, LLC

Wed like to specifically address the points that you shared regarding your experience, as it differs greatly from the accounting in our system. Your enrollment paperwork came to our underwriting team on 11/29/2023. Due to the requirements in your state, your file required a hold time to allow you to review your decision to move forward. On 12/4/23, you indicated your desire to not move forward with this journey. At that time, your file had not been underwritten and processed and therefore you were not fully enrolled as a client. In addition, Century does not make payments to your enrolled creditors until a settlement is negotiated with your creditor and you authorize that settlement and payment structure. Therefore, the $1,000 that you mention was in no way related to nor caused by Century in any way. If you would have moved forward with this program, the monthly deposit that you were scheduled to make into your dedicated account with ********************* Technologies was $799.12, according to your executed Debt Resolution Agreement (contract). Again, your contract was not underwritten as you cancelled during the enrollment process and never fully became a client. Our clients can cancel at any time in the program even beyond the 3 days. Century absolutely has no retaliation for a consumer that no longer finds this the best debt relief option for their situation. ********************, we regret that you feel this way about your experience with Century so far. The reputation of our brand & the service that we deliver is not something that we take lightly. The comments are driven by voice of the client responses from people that are actual Century clients. We certainly know that we arent perfect, which is why we welcome feedback of any kind. If there is a gap in a process, a training or an employee, then we want to learn about it so we can make *************************** Your comment that we make a business out of people is just not accurate. As mentioned in the other review that you submitted, Century doesnt earn a fee until we do the work for the client. When we successfully negotiate a settlement with one of your enrolled creditors, and you accept that settlement and a first payment is initiated to them toward the payment of the settlement, only then have we earned the right to collect on the settlement fee. That means Century shows you the value before you pay for the service. In addition, Century will often voluntarily offer to collect the fee over time to allow a client to take advantage of a settlement opportunity. We extended this offer to you only 2 months into your estimated 48 month program so you could accept your first settlement. We have been trying to connect with you to review the concerns you stated. The worst, and full of lies. I have 4 debts and have been so called PAYING for 6 months but not ONE OF MY D**N DEBTS HAS BEEN PAID A PENNY YET….bur they have been taking money out of my account 300 each month for the last 6 months. So at this point they have only pocketed the money and not paid ANYTHING FOR ME AT ALL. So it’s like I have another bill to pay. I could have just split the 300 they are taking and paid my own damn debt!!! Biggest mistake ever!!!!! They SUCK!!!! THEY ARE A SCAM!!!!Century Support Services, LLC

Ms. *********, we appreciate you sharing your feedback & regret that you are not satisfied with the progress of your program to date. We are pleased to hear that after speaking with your Customer Advocate, ********, you now have a better understanding of how your monthly deposit is being distributed. Congratulations on achieving another settlement & authorizing those terms while speaking with ******** on November 14th, 2023. You mention some things in your review that we want to specifically address in our response to support what ******** reviewed with you over the phone, as they are very inaccurate to the successful status of your program & we were very surprised with the words for which you describe the service that you have received. You state that you have been enrolled in your program for 6 months and not a penny has been paid to your enrolled creditors. That statement is absolutely inaccurate. You enrolled in May 2023 and within the first month on the program, Century successfully negotiated a 45% settlement on your largest enrolled debt, that you authorized, providing you with a realized savings of $962.00 . That account was settled into a structured settlement plan and to date 5 payments (totaling $865.00) have been initiated to your creditor towards that agreement. Century does not earn a settlement fee until we do the work for our clients. This is how we show our value. When we successfully negotiate a settlement on our client’s behalf & they accept the settlement and a first payment is initiated to the creditor, only then have we earned the right to collect the full earned settlement fee. While our fee is earned in full, we reserve the right to spread the collection of the earned fees over a term to allow a client to take advantage of the settlement opportunity, which we did for you. In fact, Century deferred collection of the largest portion of the fee until after the settlement has been completed. The earned fee for your settled account is $730.00, in which Century has only collected $200.00 to date. This is a hardship program and most of our clients are seeking this debt relief option because they are struggling to keep up with the minimum payments on their debts.. Our goal is to address all of your enrolled accounts over the length of your program. Settlements can happen at various times and will depend on several factors, including your monthly deposit amount, the number of creditors you have enrolled, and the balance of each individual account. We would also like to address your comment that we are a scam. Prior to enrollment you were presented with a Debt Resolution Agreement that outlines your program in transparent detail. As listed above, we have exceeded in delivering on our contractual obligation to date. Our records indicate you were able to connect with you Senior Advocate ******** and she was able to address your concerns with a satisfactory resolution in which you authorized a second settlement. I was a customer for little over a year. I did everything that was asked. I signed up for their legal assistance program to avoid any garnishment or lawsuits. Yet they dropped the ball. I am being garnished. No follow up from supervisors due to my concerns. No communication between legal side and customer service side. No direction give re: lawsuit and follow up. They were not helpful nor did they try to fix my concerns. I was blamed for their error. My credit has been destroyed and my income has now decreased significantly due to the above. I thought I researched the company but not well enough. Beware.Century Support Services, LLC

We appreciate the feedback you have given, ****************, and regret that you are not happy with your experience. When you enrolled, you were presented with a Client Retainer Agreement that outlined the contractual obligations of your program. You are correct that you have retained the debt relief services of the law firm; however, this can not prevent a creditor from pursuing escalated collection steps on your enrolled debts. Should a creditor decide to escalate their collection and file suit, the law firm still works to find a resolution on the account. When funds are not available to negotiate favorable options with the creditor, the litigation team reviews possible outcomes with the client. During this process & throughout the program, the servicing team works very closely & at the direction of the law firm to ensure client concerns and updates are addressed.In review, your program was on track. You experienced early program success with favorable settlements achieved on two of your enrolled accounts. Your first settlement was achieved within the first month of joining the program followed by another settlement just a few months later. The funds that you deposit monthly were being used toward the payments of the active settlement you were in, at the time you received notice of legal action from your creditor. When a creditor escalates their collection efforts and moves forward with legal action in pursuit of collecting on the debt, your attorney is involved. With your monthly deposits being used for active settlements and your budget not allowing for any additional funds to use for negotiation with opposing counsel, the option to enter into a settlement agreement was not present at the time you received legal notice. Options on how to move forward & alternative debt relief options were presented to you from the law firm. You also mentioned that your credit has been destroyed and we would like to address that comment. This debt relief option is not designed or intended to improve your credit rating or credit history. It is designed to get you out of debt. You shared a similar hardship & credit score of most of our clients when you joined our program - struggling to keep up with debt to income ratio, paying monthly debts, high interest rates, late fees, etc. Negotiating with creditors to achieve settlements for less than the full balance can be a good debt relief option to help you achieve a goal toward better financial health when you are in a verifiable state of financial hardship.
