I hate this company I planned on keeping there dental service for the rest of my life but not anymore I first signed up for this plan in August and I told the representative that I wanted a dental plan with orthodontics coverage because without orthodontics coverage I'm not interested in buying nobody's dental plan without orthodontics work is important for me she represented two plans to me and I chose one and I did not know that the one that I chose did not have orthodontist coverage so two weeks ago I called Cigna and I found out that I did not have dental coverage and I was angry so they reviewed the call and they did not find the representative at fault and the supervisor that called me acted like I was supposed to know which plan has orthodontics coverage I don't work for Cigna so how I'm supposed to know what plan has orthodontics coverage so they said they will not be giving me the credit towards the waiting period for the plan with the orthodontist coverage but if I want to I can upgrade to that plan I told the lady you have lost my business and now I'm going to shop around for a new dental plan I do like the perks with Cigna but it's not worth it since they don't want to do the right thing to keep me as a customer so as soon as I am done getting my last round of fillings in my mouth I will be purchasing a new dental plan with Delta Dental I don't get why Cigna acts like I'm supposed to know what covers what in a dental plan if I mention orthodontics coverage then the representative should have only told me the one plan that has it and not the represent two different plans to me I tried to tell them that I was lied to if someone is inquiring about orthodontist coverage then only talk about the one plan that has it not giving me two plans in saying which one that I want in the one that I chose the lady never stated that it did not have dental coverage she is in fault not me I'm the customer it is not my job to know every single last signal dental plan

As a provider you have to be very careful. I'm having an awful experience getting claims submitted for way over three months ago from Cigna. Each time you call they have no record of your claims and continue to tell you to resubmit. They finally sent out 1 check in an incorrect amount in after three months of back and forth to a strange company and not me or my practice. I'm desperately trying to get them to fix this issue. They have not fixed it after several weeks of calling. I would never encourage any private practice to do this

I was hired with Cigna 12/2021… and I resigned on 6/2022. Within the short time of employment the trainer sucked and I had 4 supervisors, however that is not why I decided to resign. I resigned because I could not fulfill my duties any more due to things in my personal life having taken priority. I advised my supervisor of this as well as put in a two weeks notice. Fast forward to 10/2023.. I applied again because life has gotten better for me and I am able and capable. I went through the hiring process, which included meeting with the recruiter, interviewing and offered the job.. I was set to start 11/20/2023… well November was moving swiftly and I hadn’t heard anything. I had to contact the recruiter asking when would I get equipment because it was now 11/16/2023 and I hadn’t heard anything. Well to my dismay I was ineligible for rehire due to being terminated. Well that was false as I fwd my two weeks notice given and the separation notice that stated I indeed resigned. All I was offered was and apology and it has been decided that I can’t be rehired but still not a true why. Because I didn’t get fired. I didn’t just leave, I put in a two weeks notice and received a separation notice.. but my concern is why was I able to go through the whole hiring process and given hope just for them to do me like this? It sucks. It’s hard to find employment already but even harder finding a place to work from home. I was excited, my family was too and just like that it was stripped away. No management contacted me to better explain what the real reason was and the recruiter no longer responds.

I’ve never had to call my insurance company EVER, but I have to call Cigna for 100% of my claims filed (not an exaggeration). Cigna denies every claim submitted stating they need diagnosis and procedure codes. I have to call them to tell them they’re clearly stated on the claim. It’s a one page document with all of the information large and bolded. They give me reference number and then usually nothing happens. I average about 2 calls per claim before someone corrects the situation. Cigna doesn’t even have to pay me anything, they only have to apply it to my deductible. This cost them their own money and my time. Someone needs to put a stop to this scam. It seems obvious they prey on those that are unable to understand this stuff and call to correct.

They also deactivated my insurance right before Christmas this year as a resukt of a mistake in their system. I have insurance through my employer so they had to spend a week with Cigna fixing the mistake and reactivating a ton of our employee’s insurance. I had my insurance denied for medical and Rx for weeks and had to pay out of pocket. That’s probably $1000 a month per person they collect without providing any services. Another messed up scam someone should put an end to.

This is the single most incompetent insurance company I have ever dealt with. When I personally tlhave them, there was never any communication from them to me, or from them to my doctors office. Now my husband has them. We have had to call them every single month since he started woth them 6 months ago about his inhaler prescription, that he has had SINCE BIRTH. If it's not them claiming to need ANOTHER preauthorization, it's them claiming that they don't cover the 2 inhalers he gets each month. Every time we call, we get transferred AT LEAST 5 times before someone FINALLY takes accountability and fixes the issue, and EVERY TIME they tell us that ots fixed and they have "no idea why this is happening". I am disgusted with the lack of professionalism and communication with this company. If my husband can't get his inhalers, HE WILL DIE. But I guess they don't give a rip. DO NOT go through this company if you don't have to.

I have bone spurs on my spine, Cigna has an agreed rate of $34 per visit with my physical therapist, my co-pay is $60, so I pay for the entire process, they pay zero. They also said none of it adds to my deductible for some reason. They will only approve 5 visits at a time for this rehab they aren't paying for. This last time they denied any future appointments. Lol, welcome to socialism. They are paying nothing, yet if I go again, because it's really helping me manage my pain (it's not like the spurs have magically disappeared), I have to pay $125 a visit. $250 a week not going towards my deductible. This is not my first issue with this company and I have had them just 1 year. I guess they just want me to subject myself to surgery, with a high copay where they end up paying less than me.

Evicore is am unethical company. They deny everything and make the member and physicians jump through hoops to get proper medical care. They only care about money and not about people. My husband almost died due to a failed prior auth and now my daughter is also being denied without due care. They also refuse to take grievances or do appeals.

The list of "in-network" providers on the website is inaccurate. So you log in to your insurance plan to find an "in-network" doctor and then get a bill from a claim processed as out-of-network". When you call to fix it, they "reprocess" the claim without changing anything about what is owed or communicating with members about claim status. I would absolutely NEVER recommend Cigna to anyone who needs to see a doctor on an annual basis, especially if you are not a billionaire.
