Around Oct 2022I ordered six items for my CPAP machine from Adapt Health whom I always deal with and have no problem. They said they would need a prescription from my doctor, Dr ******** ******* Scranton Pa. I had the doctor send prescription. Adapt health said everything wasn’t on prescription so I called doctor again telling him exactly what they wanted. Never received so I called Adapt Health again and they said something else was missing from prescription. I called doctor and got that taken care of. Against nno items sent. They told me they have prescription and again something is missing. Another told me they never received prescription so someone is lying I asked them to reach out to Dr *******s nurse ****** and tell her exactly what you want bc you keep adding things. They said they did but got no response. ****** told me everything was sent. Adapt Health refuses to fax or call my doctor to get the prescription with what they want on it. They are giving me the run around. I can not wear my equipment and I can not breathe when sleeping at night. I need these things am also using a ******** CPAP machine that was recalled for causing cancer and has not been replaced. I would appreciate it if you can help me get these items I need. I don’t know what else to do. I’ve told my doctor exactly what they want in prescription and am getting no where except sicker from not breathing correctly. I have headaches nosebleeds fatigue. Bill received from AdaptHealth with instructions that bill could be paid online, however the website does not exist. When I called to inquire about the bill, and to get an accurate website address, the person would not give me information unless I gave my date of birth. I found that unusual and suspicious. *********** ******** of Western New York is the heading on the bill. I went to *********** ******** of WNY website and also called the cheektowaga office. Only an answering machine with a request to leave name and date of birth. The pay bill option on their website went to a black screen.Business Response

Was set up through my doctor with this company. Told supplies would autoship. Have gotten none. Unable to get in touch with a human being to find out how to get supplies. Website does not work. No one answers phone. No one responds to emails. I keep getting charges to my credit card, and no idea what they are for from AdaptHealth. If they are for supplies I have not gotten any. Starting to suspect fraud. About to cancel my card.Business Response

SURPRISE MEDICAL BILL - i was told when I got CPAP that I would be charged $14 a month while machine was being rented to me. I received it two months ago and I have never received a bill prior. I got a bill in the mail on 1/17 stating due 1/20 and I will be automatically charged. The bill invoices things they sent me that they never said I would I have to pay for - they initially sent me the wrong mask and this is a replacement. This invoice is for 96.34, total past due equals zero and the bill is for $389.01 which they are going to automatically charge me and there is nothing I can do about it because I had to have a credit card on file to get the machine in the first place and I am not allowed to edit it or remove it.Business Response

Beginning 8/2022, I've been charged $40.00 Monthly (acct# ********, for currently to date (1/16/23), a total of $320.00. ********** *******/Adapt Health is charging me for a ******* CPAP device that was sent to me as a FDA Recall no Charge Replacement. I've spoke to company reps multiple times. Each time a Supervisor was to call me back and has not done so. I asked to be removed from automatic payments and have my credit card information removed and a paper bill sent and they continue to charge my card without permission. All attempts at a resolution to this issue have failed. I also called maker of the CPAP *******, and they confirmed my device was a replacement for the one i returned to them because of the mandatory FDA recall.Business Response

I paid my adapt health bill on November 1, 2022 . It $869.50 . I asked for them to no longer contact me because I was not receiving the supplies that they are charging me for . Today I received a call from a collection agency saying I owed $869.50 . I printed out where I paid for this bill in Nov . & sent it to them via email . I believe that they are involved in fraudulent charges ! I need an itemized bill for the $869.50 , so I can turn it in to hsa . This needs to be straightened out now . If the people on the phone had been a little nicer , I wouldn't be making this report.Business Response

I was prescribed by my Dr. a CPAP machine for sleep apnea and told my prescription was sent to adapt health. I entered into an agreement where I was informed my CPAP machine was a rental that would be paid off after 10 payments submitted to my insurance company. I have made several months of payments and my medical insurance has changed and I've been informed they will not bill my new insurance company for the remaining balance of payments but will need to initiate a new claim the new insurance company for the full cost of the equipment and I would be responsible for another 10 payments before I owned the machine. This is unethical and I will not pay for this equipment twice. I'm simply asking to have the equipment be owned after 10 payments have been made as I was advised when I entered the agreement.Business Response

billing issue - they constantly send bills for services that my insurance has paid them at 100%. they have even sent us to collections. Most recent service was 10/24/2022. The insurance paid them 100% on 11/4/2022 via electronic fund transfer. We have since received 2 bills demanding payment for the amount the insurance company paid them already. They need to stop billing for services that they have already been paid for. They have multiple companies under this umbrella and appear to do this across the board. We switch companies, only to find out that they were owned by Adapt as well.Business Response

I was billed in July 2022 on my credit card for my wifes cpap supplies. My first contact with the company the supplies were not covered by ********* I called my ************** advantage plan. They called the company and they told them the supplies were covered. Adapthealth sent a bill to Aetna for the supplies. I was told with ***** on the line (3 way conference) that the would refund my money of $120.64 back to my credit card. Between ***** and me we called adapthealth July 21, 2022, 8/1/2022, to find out where my refund was. Everyone I talked to stated it would be refunded in 10 days. Never happened. Called August 5, 2022, and was told they could not issue a credit to the credit card. they would send me a check within 45 days. Never received. Called 10/31/22, 11/8/22, 12/7/22.Also told refund to credit card would be issued in 10 days. No avail ON many of these dates ***** called with me on the phone They got the same answer as we have gotten. It is now 6 months. nothing is resolved. Aetna and I are frustrated with this company. Same old runaround Aetna has records of these conversations.Business Response

Its a shame I had to involve outside agencies to resolve this matter. I may be wrong but it shows me how a large company tries to screw the seniors. Over six months to get a $120.00 check. they also missed out on other supplies. I found another company to deal with. Also advised wife's doctor about this problem. Thank you for you help.Regards,
