our mom past away on June 8th 2024. we reached out to Lincoln financial on June 24th and have gotten the run around with them. we have submitted everything they have required and will not issue the life insurance to us. My husband is the sole Heir as well as the executor of the estate. the only other person mentioned is myself his wife. We have go through 6 times on faxing everything they have requested even got notarized papers - sent them the final will and testament, the final will and the durable power of attorney. they refuse to respond furthermore refuse to respond to the life insurance money. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this a very poor way of handling things we will never ever use them or recommend them to any none. she has this policy since 1970 we went 7 months to get thigs clarified since june of last year refused to disclose and just wanted to know the amount further jore they wanted us to go probate which was in the will that we would not have to go that route
. over fifty years of paying for life insurance and you might get close to 4000,0 very sad and i would recommend someone else to handle this to make sure you family is at ease

On or about January ******. I submitted a urgent request for a loan out of my retirement funds. It's posted on their website this process is handled with in 7 to 10 days. It is January ******* and they are saying it is still processing but can't give me a date I will receive my money, only that a correction is still being fixed and will process after that. My *** from Lincoln said he put an urgent request and in the past it would be in my account in 2 days. That was 3 days ago. I feel like because I've called multiple times and questioned why this is taking so long, out of spite they are taking more time than. Should be allowed. This is my own money. I received a letter from Lincoln Financial Group on 11/27/24 of my life insurance rates increasing. I called on 11/28/24 to find LFG was closed. I received an updated bill on 11/30/24 for $1343 instead of $958 as expected. I called in twice the first week of December only to get transferred around several times to different departments. They kept mentioning that they couldn't find my account and later on each call I got hung up on or given a different option to chose when calling back. I called back and finally got a lady to give me their email address since I couldn't get anywhere on the phone. I sent an email to the email address customer service provided and asked that my coverage be reduced (since I knew I couldn't get new life insurance policy in a couple days) and asked that the new coverage be in place prior to the *** payment from my account. The email did go through and did not come back as undeliverable, so they got the email. I didn't hear anything from the email, so I called back in 12/12/24 and was on the phone with them for over 2 hours with several different people. It was the same thing as before with transferring me around. I finally got a lady named ******** who took all my information down (SS#, DOB, Policy Number, Account Number, etc.). She promised that someone would call me back within 24 to 48 hours and that they could change my coverage to get the rates down. As of 1/28/25, I have never gotten a phone call or email from them. So, I called back in today (1/28/25) and got a lady on the phone, she couldn't find my policy or look me up by SS# and DOB, put me on hold and then hung up. I immediately call the BBB and ask how to proceed. I'm scared to death that I don't have life insurance coverage for me or my wife and kids. I've been paying this policy by them withdrawing it from my savings account since 2000 or so. I want a refund for the overage and someone to get me a new policy. I have been a paying customer for 25 years. Please help.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I did receive a phone call *****. He said that he would do his best to help. I asked for a complete copy of my current policy and a refund for the overage that I was charged. I was told I could get a copy of my policy, a possible refund on the overage charge, and that he could get my coverage corrected with the new amounts I requested to keep the price down. As of 2/6/25 I have not received a copy of my current policy, a refund of any amount, and don't have any documents stating that my new coverage is in place. I need documentation of my police. Thank you.

Hello,I have attempted to update beneficiary information on my annuity account with *******************************************. I have spent 2 wks and over 3 hours total on phone calls to simply update my beneficiaries. I emailed all the necessary information on 1/10 but was told it was not received until 1/13 and would take 10 days. I was further informed that it would finally be changed on 1/23 which did not happen. Please note it took less than 30 seconds to update beneficiaries with Fidelity in the year 2025.Lincoln Financial's customer service in ************ is pathetic and would not let me speak to a supervisor when asked. Their supervisors have been given the almighty power to determine if they will speak with you. I also had an experience with one rep that demanded I provide my entire social number to him, even though it was entered by touch phone, passkey and provided acct number and other info. as I had when speaking with other reps. ********** there is no way to contact my advisor, no email reply him and no help whatsoever while they have my money. They are completely corrupt.The beneficiaries need to be updated immediately as I am having serious surgery soon. The audacity for a company to treat its customers this way is criminal. I also wish to move my money to a legitimate financial company where I can actually speak to an advisor about the annuity he is collecting commission off an that I was deceived into. I have tried in past to move my money away from Lincoln but they continue to delay and deny. I tried for 8 mos and filled out dozens of pages. I want to be free of Lincoln as they are corrupt and do not want them to hold one cent of my money anymore as they have no ethics as their numerous one star reviews *********** is pathetic that I would have to reach out to the BBB for something that should be so simple. I have been receiving multiple mailings from this group weekly for the past several years. I have tried to reach out to them to let them know the person they are trying to reach is no longer at this address (as advised by the post office). When contacting them I was told I could not speak to anyone unless I had a policy or an account number. when I tried explaining the situation the lady at the customer service call center asked that I illegally open someone else's mail to get her the account information. I declined to which she said she would not transfer me to someone else or allow me to speak with anyone regarding the matter. I would appreciate it if someone from this company cold please unattach my address from their mailings. Two years of someone else's mail, multiple times a week is getting exhausting constantly returning to sender. I have spoken with the post master numerous times and they advised I reach out to the company, which the customer service center is not allowing.Business Response

Lincoln Financial Group put a lien on the amount of money $10,000 that I'm supposed to receive from Geico due to an accident that happened on 5 December 2024. Lincoln Financial Group has not yet approved me for short-term disability and I have not received any money from them whatsoever. It seems kind of preposterous for them to put a lien on the $0 amount. Out of the $10,000 I have to also pay medical expenses with that money.Customer Answer

Lincoln Finacial Group is to serve me as a beneficiary of the account. It has been months with little to no help or communication. Whenever I have to reach out to the company to seek any information or feedback, they refuse to have an open line of communication. I have to repeat the same lines " I'm the beneficiary of my deceased grandmother " during the long process of trying to get a status, which pains me everytime. This has been going on for months and I just want it to end already! I just called the legal department and was basically told to wait for god knows how long and I will get a response AFTER I get my distribution. I have insurance (offered by my employer) with Lincoln Financial (which is the marketing name for Lincoln National Corporation). I have contacted them numerous times over the last 2+ months because their website does not work on a PC or Mac. I discovered today that I have limited view access from my cell phone. I have requested the company fix their website issues multiple times, have requested to be contacted to resolve the issue, but I am met with silence. When I select any hyperlinks on their website, I am met with "page loader" or "page loading"; however, the pages never load. I have tried to log in from 4 different computers, in two different states and in another country. I am not sure if this is an issue isolated to just my profile or widespread to other users. I am requesting help with being able to successfully log into, view, and navigate within my profile on their website. If a claim would need to be filed for an illness, disability, or death, I or my beneficiary would not be able to do so. This feels intentional in preventing a consumer from having access to their paid for benefits.Business Response
