  Beware of Anthony & Sylvan Pools – a façade of professionalism masking a disorganized operation. Initially impressed by their sales pitch and 3D designs, our optimism was quickly shattered post-contract, leading only to disappointments.
  A glaring issue was their poor planning. For example, we were advised to build a retaining wall for the pool, only to find it impeded their plumbing work, forcing us to fund additional excavation. Their compensation for this oversight was insultingly low, covering a mere fraction of our costs.
  Complications continued with unexpected staff departures. Their electrician quit, causing delays and added expenses for us, with reimbursement yet to be received. Promised for completion by October 2022, the project dragged until August 2023, ruining our summer plans and turning our dream into a prolonged ordeal.
  The coping installation was another disaster - uneven, chipped, and poorly colored, clashing with our chosen pavers. We had to hire another company for corrections, yet Anthony & Sylvan failed to honor their reimbursement promise.
  Financially, the experience was exasperating. We paid 90% upfront, yet faced a year-long wait for completion. We're now battling to recover over $25,000 for unrendered services and additional costs, including concrete decking, electrical work, and coping repairs.
  Moreover, throughout the project, there was constant pressure from their managers to leave premature 5-star reviews, a deceptive practice that questions the authenticity of their online reputation.
  This experience, far from the promised hands-off service, became a nearly 2-year management nightmare. We advise caution with Anthony & Sylvan Pools; their service falls drastically short of their promises, leaving us with deep regret.

  Never do business with Anthony Sylvan! I promptly paid my deposit of $5,000 in May and they didn't contacted me until they wanted to dig in October, blaming everything on the Anne Arundel County permitting office. I spoke with the County permit office multiple times and was even shown the records of Anthony Sylvans unresponsiveness. My Sales person Mr. Duffy was rude and abrasive to me, responding to my polite update requests in caps and angry bold font. My project manager was unresponsive and even their General Manager, Tom Krajewski gaslighted my concerns. The overall tone when they spoke to me was misogynistic, and just plain rude and disrespectful. When I told the General Manager I no longer wanted to do business with their company, he replied that I would get a measly $800 refunded of the $5k I had paid, which still hasn't been received. He continued to blame the county, which was a complete lie, as I had seen the records of A&S's unresponsiveness.
  Save yourself the trouble and stay away from these guys, they are just the absolute worst. I hope this review saves someone's family the heartache mine went thru after being promised a pool before summers end, and then the company not even responding, and making you feel like a burden.
  So now I'm out $5,000, but my self dignity is worth more than that. I would never do business with them and I hope whoever reads this doesn't either. I wish I could leave them zero stars.

  I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am with Anthony Sylvan pools. They installed my indoor pool in 2001. I had it refinished in 2016. Last year, November 2022, I started getting stones in the spa, they were coming through the jets. To date Sylvan has done nothing because they say they can't determine what the problem is. FINALLY, last month, they suggested that I contact other pool companies in the area to fix the problem.

  Worst customer service ever. We put a deposit down on a pool but have to move due to unforeseen circumstances. Nothing in the contract says the deposit is non-refundable. We have emailed and called every number but no avail. They are great in selling the product but any customer service there after is a JOKE.

  I would strongly never recommend Anthony & Slyvan Pools to anyone again. We started with an agent by the name of Eric who after a few weeks never returned our calls. The communication with this company is horrible. They started our project in August 2022 and after one year and three months is still not complete. We were told of a $1000 referral program and after a referral was given we were told that program was not available during our contract and was issued a $500 gift card and that was after numerous complaints. Although our project is 99% finished and fully paid for, the 1% left has not been addressed. They may act like they are there for your every need, in reality it’s just about the money. You would think after spending 90k with this company, they would make every effort to ensure satisfaction.

  We required a quality pool that is beautiful, fit our needs, and our budget. Anthony Sylvan & Sons was able to design a beautiful pool and spa that we will be able to use for many years to come. Our team (Mike in Sales, Ray in PM, and Geoff in pool school) we’re really top notch.

  Mission does a great job every week on our pool service. He makes sure everything is cleaned properly and keeps us up to date on chemicals added. Mission is a great asset to the service team.

  Anthony and Sylvan have effectively managed our expectations from start to finish and Our project manager Tim Fournier is at the core of the experience. Timely updates, making time to answer all questions and over delivering has been the theme of our build. I highly recommend this team. Also, big thanks to our sales associate Brian Montgomery as he was first contact and very knowledgeable.
