      Terrible insurance company. Got in an accident in which their driver was at fault. Despite this, my husband helped the man change his tire so he could get to work on time. Amica refused to help get the quotes needed for our repairs because they "lacked the experience required" to handle a custom diesel truck. They also denied all our quotes from those with experience and forced ** to go through our insurance company for the claim, making subrogation extremely difficult. When we then pursued diminished value of our less than 3-month old company vehicle as well as lost time, they only paid 15% of what we were asking for despite documented proof of the vehicle value and day-to-day company profit lost. Amica is a sham, do not use them.

      We have been customers of Amica for over 30 years; cars, home, etc. My wife is a nurse and I am a physician and we both do disaster work overseas.We were overseas and a payment was partially missed (our bill-payment system accidentally sent a payment that was less than owed).Amica cancelled our home-owners insurance and wouldnt ********** it because we had filed for a $1200 repair of rot when replacing a window.We have a north-facing window that doesnt see sun and when we replaced it there was a small amount of rot in the surrounding wood.Over 30+ years I have paid Amica well over $100,000, and now because of a $1200 claim for unseen rot, they cancelled ** (this was the main reason given to ** for why they wouldnt ********** when we returned from overseas and remedied the $100 difference in payment).What great customer loyalty, huh?

      I have been with AMICA for 28 years insuring my family cars and home and extremely happy about them. They always responded to our claims promptly (no more than 2 days), followed up often through out the entire process and issued payments timely. I am extremely happy they just paid for a claim of a water damage in my house that happened almost 15 years ago!! I highly recommend this company to anyone.

      Ive had Amica auto insurance with roadside assistance for years. Ive never had an issue the few times Ive had to use their services. However on April 26, 2023 I had called for a tow. I talked to several representatives because I was never sent a link with a provider. I was a female alone with my 2 small children and a flat tire that wouldnt take air. It was getting dark, even though it was daylight when I called. One representative from Amica told me they found me a provider and they were finalizing the details of the tow and I would receive a text. 20 minutes or so pass and I never received a text, so I called back. The Amica representative then told me she was going to reach out to one specific provider who was quite close to me, she put me on hold with a dead silence for about 10 minutes, and never got back on the line. I had expressed even though me and my kids were safe, its late/getting dark and they couldnt get me a tow why didnt they keep me informed? I expressed the fact this was bad for business and the women from Amica told me she could call 911/the authorities. Its just hard for me to believe on a Wednesday evening there was no tow trucks available. The thing with Amica roadside that got me the most angry was them aware I had small children with me, and the fact I was lied to about them dispatching a provider to me.

      I called the company within the last month twice requesting to speak with a manager or supervisor due to trying to obtain answers as to why Amica Insurance has run my credit history 9 times within one year. No one can provide me a valid response to why this has occurred since March 2022 and I am not affiliated with this company. I requested a statement from the company as to explaining this outrageous event but has not received any explanation nor a conversation from the company. Their actions are being shown on my credit report with specific dates the inquiry took place but no one from the company has time to call and explain their actions; however, they found time to run my credit report. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!

      I have auto home and an umbrella policy. They are the worst company ever for paying claims. I had a claim for damage to my roof and they refused to pay until I pressured them into paying it. Currently I have a auto claim for hail damage they tried to get me to take a $1600 check for damage which the auto body shop estimated at $6200. I am still trying to get them to pay what it actually cost to fix my car. They are horrible and I would not recommend them. After looking at the reviews on here I am truly sorry I went with them.

      Paid property coverage for 24 years with no claims but weather damage claims 3 in last two years resulted in them reporting to an inter agency black ball system that caused me be considered a high risk. The 56 page policy with lawyer language leaves you impression that the policy covers very few claims. Ex. 70 mph did not cover damage. They have no agency appeal process and referred me to ******** insurance regulators. They hired independent adjusters who are paid to provide negative reports to keep receiving business in order to deny claims. They tried every means to keep from paying claim, first misquoting amount of deductible, then improper care, policy language clearly did provide for coverage., To call bad faith business practices for this company would be kind. Thier rating has dropped in the last few years and I understand why. I would compare this company in the same class as used car dealers. Court action is next, so my advise is to have legal council examine unfair business practices by Amica.

      I had multiple conversations with an Amica rep about my insurance needs. I thought from our conversations that he had a clear understanding of my properties, rental and primary, cars, and other personal property. One thing that I wanted to make sure of was that my camper, that was kept at our main residence, was covered in the event of an accident if I wasn't towing it. I was led to believe that the camper would be covered by my homeowners insurance in the event of an accident while it was parked on the property. Well, that wasn't exactly true. About a month after I had started my insurance coverage a large limb put a hole in the roof of the camper and it was subsequently rained on. That resulted in water damage to the unit. I started a claim and submitted the requested pictures. It took longer than the 6 days they said it would be for someone to reach out to me. I was informed I'd have to take the camper to a dealer for an inspection. The camper was at the dealer for a week and they came up with a 15k repair estimate. This is when I was informed that the camper was not covered by homeowners and that I should have had a separate policy. Well that would have been nice for the gentleman to tell me when I was buying all of the insurance. They have offered me a ******* courtesy payment. Let me break that down. Minus ****** for the repair estimate, minus 4hrs of my time to cart the camper back and forth from the dealer, minus fuel costs and the best part? I get to keep the camper and dispose of it. So figure a 5-700.00 disposal fee. Needless to say I'm less than pleased with Amica as an insurance provider. I'm most disappointed that I was explicit in what my insurance needs were and they were not met either due to the rep's lack of knowledge about the products the he was selling or just carelessness. Its unfortunate that I now have to bear this burden. I would have gladly bought insurance for the camper had I been informed that it was necessary.

      I been with Amica for over 5 years now. I left USAA years back to reduce some of my monthly costs. We have multiple policies with this company.Lets start at the beginning, Amica claims to be built on trust Amicas website states, Protecting the most important parts of our customers lives is a responsibility we take seriously. You can trust that well listen carefully to you, and provide sound advice and recommendations based on your unique needs. My wife and daughter were in an accident early part of March of this year. The day the accident happened we filed a claim and 3 business days later we were contacted by an Amica representative. Since the vehicle has been at the collision repair center we have had more communication through the shop than by Amica. Two weeks after it was in the shop our adjuster called to state they were cutting us a check for the damages and the vehicle would be repairable. Luckily the shop called the day before stating that the appraiser wanted the vehicle placed on a lift to assess the damages underneath. When I mentioned that to my adjuster she had no idea what I was talking about. The next round of communication came from the shop a couple days later to inform me that more damages have been found. Waited around another 4-5 business days to hear from Amica and needless to say nothing. Called in today to speak to a representative who was not able to provide sounds advice and put another note in for the adjuster who again left early for the day.Explained my frustrations with the representative and explained that at the conclusion of this claim I would be switching insurance companys, I was replied with a long pause and okay Im sorry to hear thatAnother statement Amica has on their website is Forging strong relationships with customers has been our top priority since ****, accidents are stressful enough, insurance companies are suppose to be there in times of need. Amica is no USAA or Geico that is for sure..

      the customer service representative did not care about our loyaty with them and was not helpful but very rude the accident happened on february 27 and they are not folloowing up the police report i had to pay deductible and rental out of my pocket without my fault the other party ran the red light the police came to the site of the accident gave me a report number for my insurance company to fpllpw up i gavr the insurance company the name , ************* number of the police officer she just said they will wait for the police report and then process my claim we have 3 cars . ************** insurance with them for more then 10 years but she did not care she said i can change my insurance if i want to her name is ***************************
