      I have received targeted promotion to open a checking and savings accounts with Citizens Bank NA (attached) and get $300 bonus on both if I follow the rules which I did. Since never got the bonus, I have contacted the bank and case was opened to investigate the issue. The reply was that I didn't qualify for bonus since I was withdrawing my direct deposits from my checking and checking account closes after 10 days if $0 value. I get my salary every two weeks and if checking account is closing after 10 days of zero balance it makes it unreasonable. Regardless of checking account promotion, I also never got my $300 for savings account where I have parked $15,000 for more than 3 months with zero interest instead of getting market 4.5% APR in other banks. There is no dispute that I followed all the terms of the offer for savings bonus. This dishonest behavior financially engineered to make people deposit and hold substantial amounts of money with 0% interests rates while not providing them promised payout. Basically Bank scams retail customers to make money from their deposits. I hope a class action lawsuit will be brought against this unethical and probably illegal way of conducting business.This bank is defiantly going under, Stay away!

      I wish I could give a negative star. I got a flier in the mail and it said if I open a checking or savings account and fund it with $500 witching a month, Id get $600 for both ($300 each). Initially, I was only interested in the savings since their website claims theyve a very competitive 4.5%APY! Reluctantly, I was convinced by the banker to open both even though they only have 4.5%APY on CDs and not savings account. She explained to me all I had to do was TRANSFER $500 each, total of $1000 and Id get $600 for both. Immediately, within 5 days since the visit, I transferred $1000 each, $2000 total. 3+ months later, I called customer service to ask why Ive not received the $600 and I was told the promotion only applies to directly deposited money. Mind you, I never was once told this tiny detail and my money has been in the accounts since the 5th day. In person, verbally, I was instructed to TRANSFER the money, which I promptly did. When I tried to explain this to their customer service representative, I was fed the same line and rudely so without given the chance to tell my story. Transfer or directly deposited, they had my money. Thank goodness this happened before I decided to get a mortgage with them.

      I disputed a transaction that I used my debit card on. I disputed it on August 16 and nothing was done and they closed it even though I would call every 2-3 days to check on it. They reopened it on September 4 and now were entering month 2 without any resolution. Citizens bank is the absolute worst bank to use. Their call center is in ****** or some foreign country where the operators speak limited English and are not understandable due to their accent. Please save yourselves trouble and use any other bank

      I have a small loan that I pay for. I paid 2 full payments in August. Now, for September they are saying that I am late. I called them and told them I made 2 payments, 1 for August and 1 for September in advance. ******* tells me that I need to make another payment because it didnt apply to September, all of it went to August and the person that took the payment shouldve told me that. She said that it will appear on my credit report. This is not right when I am NOT behind. I chatted with **** in a message chat, she apologized but couldnt fix the problem. Im done with Citizens One and I would advise people to run from this company. *** never dealt with a company that penalize you for making 2 payments.

      They are notorious for holding deposits so you will incur overdraft fees. They also process your withdrawals from your account first if your deposit and withdrawals come in on same day. This way they can receive additional overdraft money.

      The triplicated a transaction for ******* from my business Citizens bank Checking account, they refunded me with one, but not the 2nd transaction. And on top of this they added an interest rate of 39 and few cents for NO reason. The ultimate fraud. Do NOT use Citizens bank credit card.

      Someone used by business card to charge a bunch of stuff. It ******** my account and I got slammed with overdraft fees.They credit me back the money for the charges and did not reverse the overdraft fees. It has been 6 weeks.I called again to take it off and I am hold now for 35 minutes and still no resolution.They see the reverse charges due to fraud and still can't reverse the charges the first time I called and now I have wasted 35 minutes with no resolution.There was no reason why the initial claim was not honored.I am closing my account and taking my business somewhere else.

      I applied for an Apple iPhone loan, I was denied, which isn't a big deal because I do not have a long credit history. The problem however, is that they still charged my credit card for this!!! These people are thieves

      just plain sucks! How is anyone supposed to entrust a business with their money if they can't even get their website to work?? Every.single.day I log in to check my account (hello scammers) and it takes me, literally, sometimes 20 times to log in and I STILL can not get on. On days where I can finally get on, I've already tried 10 or so times. I've tried a number of different ways to sign in, when it finally does work the way I signed is not consistent. What the living ****?? Get your act together Citizens!! Everything was fine before someone decided it was time to 'redesign' the site...not only can I not sign in, it's now far, far more difficult to look at my accounts bc they're huge and spread acroos the entire page. Who the heck is in charge? Oh, also, I called weeks ago d/t 'suspicious activity', no one has called me back. Way to support customers, Citizens..

      I went into lobby of ************, **** branch day after I buried my mother with her death certificate in order to remove her name from my account. Now I'm nearly 63 years old and am diabetic and suffering from balance issues(vertigo),I also am half deaf and speak loudly. Went up to counter to take care of business, talked to the other 2 folks that were also behind counter, was told to sit down and wait 10 min. Finished my business, walked outside to be met by 3 ************ cops ready to put me in cuffs apparently the head banker called the officers and told them I was drunk, loud, and couldn't hardly stand. Well, after extensive conversation and all the *** test, I was found to be stone cold sober. I have since tried to get in touch with regional manager to voice a complaint with no call back so far. I feel this banker guy named ***** should be fired or at the least reprimanded.
