      The bank holds your payroll check just so you get hit with overdraft fees. This started about 6 months ago. I have all my bills set to auto payments but now the bank holds your check longer and hits you with fee's. I won't be keeping bank account.

      The employees literally bully customers and act like they should be treated better than others. Extremely unprofessional and a rude. The treatment of others is harassment.

      They shut down my credit card because they took money from the wrong checking account. I have tried to have ************ reopen my credit card and cannot get through to the right people. I have been a reliable customer for years and due to one mistake I have lost my only credit card.I intend to close my account at **********************

      Despite their heavy marketing spend in and around the ****** area, make no mistake: Citizens Bank is possibly the worst choice you can make in banking. First off, their mobile app is barely functional, and their website is not much better. You'd think a bank that can afford the title sponsorship of the ********************* and the Citizens Bank Opera House could afford a decent UI/UX team, but apparently not. Secondly, good luck getting ahold of a representative on the phone. Their call center has extremely limited hours of operation, and you have to go through an annoying 10-step phone menu before you get the option to talk to a representative, and even then sometimes the wait time is well over 30 minutes. Lastly, One Deposit Checking and Savings both have "Service Fees" that charge you $9.99 and $5.99 respectively each month if you don't have the required number of deposits per statement period. My wife and I set up our account as a joint account and went through a rough period where we had very little money to deposit, only to find out 6 months later via a letter from collections that the account was overdrawn by $12 because Citizens had drained over $100 in service fees from both accounts to the point of overdrawing. Needless to say, I closed both accounts the same day, and I now warn all of you to seek your banking needs elsewhere. This bank is 1 star on BBB for a REASON.

      Citizens bank took money out of my account and now my account is overdrawn $1000. Im having bills returned because of this. I went to ******** to make a purchase and the seller wouldnt take a check. I went to a ATM at M and T Bank. I called Citizens customer service to raise my withdraw limit. With the Citizens bank employee on the phone the entire time. I tried withdrawing $500 3 times with absolutely no cash coming out of the **** The employee kept saying let me try this and nothing worked. The same employee filed a dispute and two weeks later I get my money returned to the account. ********************** showed that the money was disbursed but it was not. After the dispute and a month later Citizens took the money back out leaving my account in the negative. I dispute it 2 more times with no resolution. Ive used Citizens for years and not one problem until now. They need to make this right!

      Awful awful awful. I've had them for ************************************************************** out. I paid everything off and reopened an account realizing I would have no steady income due to some home changes I came in to settle it and they had closed it out. I called the collections line to make sure I was clear and had no debts to pay off they said no. Check to a week or two later and my fiance put me on his savings account they found out and called thay bank telling them they labeled me as an account abuser even though I payed what I owed them and had the same account for ten years. We can't buy a house together now and I can't deposit the checks I'm getting back now that I'm back at work. They legitimately ruined my finicial life because they were angry I got a new bank. They never reported me or had a problem until I had a joint account

      This bank does not reach out to their customers. I have been a customer for over 16 years and because I kept a zero balance on my credit card too long for their liking, they cancelled the account without even a phone call. After 16 years, not ONE phone call. Zero late payments in this time, and not one phone call. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with this institution and would advise anyone looking for a bank to look elsewhere.

      Worst bank ever we all need to do a civil suit. ******** from the main office in RI is the worst! Even their customer service, no help at all!

      my account has been placed on hold & ive gotten 5 different answers from every representative ive spoken with. at this point i just want my account closed & a check sent out via mail. I saw all the horrible reviews about this bank but decided to give you a chance anyway & this is what i get no access to any of my ********** account being under investigation. its extremely inconvenient & the closet branch to me is 7 hours away. I just want to cut all ties with this bank my experience has been horrible its barely been two months the accounts been opened i receive regular direct deposits from my employer both ******* wife ! & now i wont get my funds for a few weeks.now i have to wait for a chairmen to call me to even start the process of getting ***********. i made a mistake giving them a chance if this was the last bank on earth i would take a chance on a piggy bank first ! DO NOT RECOMMEND A HUGE SCAM
