  CITIZENS BANK- REFUSES TO HONOR IT's OWN CERTIFIED CHECKS Received a Citizens Bank Certified Check from a client.Client is a Citizens Bank business ***************************** BANK REFUSED TO HONOR IT;s OWN CERTIFIED CHECK THAT WAS PRESENTED TO IT FOR PAYMENT Was rudely told by several different branch tellers that they would NOT HONOR their OWN CERTIFIED CHECK!!!STAY FAR AWAY FROM CITIZENS BANK There are ample amount of banks available who will stand behind their own CERTIFIED checks

  Deceptive credit card practice of offering 0% balance transfers then using payments to pay off that debt before applying the payment to a given month's actual purchases, thereby incurring interest charges, when payment in full was made in good faith for that month's purchases. Also, after calling to complain about the charges and being told they would remove the interest charge, the charges were not removed. When asked how to apply the payment towards the interest bearing portion of the bill, customer service had no answer and could not even explain what was happening.

  If customer reviews aren't considered when rating a business, what exactly does the BBB base it's rating off? Ppl refer to the BBB with hopes of a resolution from a bad business. Almost every review is one star yet we have A+ rating!? If not from customer review then from what does the ******************** gather background on a company? is the BBB in place to confuse the consumer or help them? If I look up Citizens Bank BBB rating and use that as a credible source, i'd surely be led to doing business with a company that according to the individuals that have conducted business with this company, is a terrible institution that I should stay away from! Citizens Bank is a flawed institution the company could benefit from a face lift and a better business practice. I'd strongly advise against banking with Citizens Bank.

  Worthless bank with failing technology. I was sold a car note that unfortunately led me to this bank. I've setup automatic bill pay not once, but twice, and now I am late on two of the three car payments made on this car even though I have it setup correctly, and the site says auto bill pay is configured. Now with late fees and a destroyed credit report I question the existence of this car I drive. I try to get people on the phone and their automated systems are equally terrible, and can't recognize even a simple account number. When you do get someone on the phone they hardly speak English. The site authentication and password reset form is a NIGHTMARE. Stay away from this bank!!!

  This BBB site is fake. All these 1 star reviews, and they still give Citizens an A+ rating? I guess the BBB can be bought.

  So my wife and I decided we wanted to invest in a new game console for our son.We wanted to get him a Xbox series x from Target.My wife goes to Target has to purchase it online and pick it up in the store because that's now their policy, for whatever reason.She's unfamiliar on how to do this so she goes to the store to get assistance with someone in electronics.They had my target only to find out that you cannot pay for it.YOU HAVE TO FINANCE THE **** SERIES X THEY WILL NOT SELL IT TO YOU ANY OTHER WAY.It has to be financed through citizens Bank only.When it's all said and done you're paying close to $900 when it is $499.99 Talk about a crock of ****...Can't seem to find an Xbox series x anywhere else other than Target.We were seeking a 2022 model not a refurbished 2020 model.Citizens Bank is ought to rip off the consumer by almost doubling the cost of the Xbox.

  My father and I both have accounts with this bank. Last week someone walked into a branch in a different state and had a card issued to them for my fathers bank account. They then took out multiple atm withdrawals in 3 different states totaling over ****** dollars. After being on the phone with them for over an hour I finally got ahold of someone but never got sent to the fraud department. Someone in online banking said they would look into it. Now both our online accounts are frozen and cannot be accessed by us. We also keep getting alerts from fraudulent numbers but since this bank doesnt let you speak to someone in the fraud department theres no way to report it. This bank seems to be very bad at handling fraud and is trying to keep people from reporting it. We arent the only ones that are having problems like this I know of one other local person this happened to recently.

  Wow! I was thinking of throwing some money at Citizens because of the good 2% savings account rate and boy am I glad I looked them up at BBB and see all these reviews. Thanks for the great feedback and helping me avoid a huge mistake.

  Interesting .. an A+ rating but barely 1 star on customer's reviews. This banks in unconscionable on how customers are treated. I was informed on how to endorse a check by a citizen's employee. What I was told by ****** was wrong and a $10, 000 check gets sent to the fraud department. They closed my accounts and now they received my pension check on 9/1, will not let me access it and will be sending it to me and I can expect it in 1 to 2 weeks. That will be possibly 3 weeks after they received it. Additionally... I also was told different things by costumer service vs bank employees. I went to bank at 900 am and they couldn't give me $3000 because they didn't have $3,000 in cash to give. I also arrived at the bank at 4:56 and it closed at 5:00 and they would not serve me. I've never written a complaint on the better Business bureau or online but this has been an absolutely horrific experience.

  I won't waste your time. They are a horrible institution with zero customer support and no useful responses even if you get through to a person. Do not get a loan through this bank or you will have issue after issue.
