I feel like I just got scammed and conveniently no one has any answers. I scheduled an appointment at the Minute Clinic after checking with my insurance to make sure the location was in network and the strep test would be covered. Insurance confirmed. I had to enter credit card information along with my insurance info at appointment time (Red Flag!) and got charged $125 immediately after leaving the appointment. Called insurance again to confirm statement of benefits and insurance coverage. Now how do I get my money back from Minute Clinic? People at the location are clueless and I cannot get through to anyone at Minute Clinic. Each time I call, I'm on hold for hours. What is the point of insurance if they just charge you for everything anyway. This is so frustrating.

Ten days ago, I went to the CVS minute clinic, after making an appointment online and providing my insurance information, which should have made my visit free of charge. It is not possible to make an appointment without providing a credit card, which in my case it should not have *** necessary because my health insurance includes unlimited CVS Minute Clinic visits for free. Today, ten days later, in the morning, I got an email from *** saying that I owe the full cost of the visit. On the bill, they provide a number to call if one has questions, but this number just puts you on hold forever. I have been on hold for 5 hours now, and counting. I called the store, where a machine redirects me to the same, dreadful, number. There is no way to call the minute clinic at the store--all is handled online. I called the *** pharmacy, and they told me that the pharmacy it is a separate company, no relation to the minuteclinic. I went to my insurance provider's portal, to see if a claim had been made for the service, but there is no claim. Without a claim, my insurance will not reimburse me. *** has erroneously billed, and then charged my credit card, on the same day, and there is no one to contact for help with this.www-dot-cvs-dot-com/minuteclinic does not have a "contact us" link, not even a "messages"or "comments" link. Communication is completely one-way, you can use their site, but there is no way to provide feedback.

Make sure to check pricing and insurance coverage for the services you need at the MinuteClinic BEFORE you go. Apparently insurance companies no longer cover some basic tests, and conviniently, the Minute Clinic staff doesn't have the latest coverage info from the insurance companies. They will make you sign a generic form stating that you will cover any services not covered by your insurance, and then send you a ridiculous bill. Sure, their services price list is posted on their website, however, even if the Minute Clinic is 'in network" provider for your insurance, there is no information on what is covered. You will have to know IN ADVANCE what the nurse practitioner at the Minute Clinic will decide to test you for during your visit, so you can call your insurance - IN ADVANCE - to confirm coverage. And DO check before you go, or you will have to pay the RIDICULOUS bill.

My 2 year old was seen at the Minute Clinic in ******* SC. My childs father was sent out of the room and not allowed to help with holding him down for vitals. (he does not do well) I was given the oxygen meter to do myself and try to hold him down by myself and wasn't able to get it alone. I was scolded by the nurse practitioner telling me "I'm stronger than him". She then looks at his insect bites that he was clearly having an allergic reaction to and told me my house was just infested with fleas. (not the case) we saw the mosquitoes. Then said to use Benadryl cream. I let her know this doesn't work for him and she said "you've used it for what 3 hours and laughed". From the nurse checking vitals to the nurse practitioner my child was not treated with compassion or any type of care. We went to another *********** straight after this appt and he was given an in office dose steroid due to the severity of his allergic reaction. Due to the negligence of the Minute Clinic not treating him who knows what would've happened if we didn't take him else where.

I took my daughter to the CVS minute Clinic located at *********************************** on 04/10/2024 for a 5:20 PM appointment and we will never use any *** clinic again based on our experience there. When we arrived, the nurse practitioner on duty did not call us back on time and we waited 35 minutes past our appointment time to be seen. The clinic door was ajar, and she was very clearly chatting with someone she knew personally rather than being late due to seeing a patient. When the woman she was chatting with left, the ** came out of the clinic. I let her know we had an overdue appointment, she brushed us off and told us to continue to wait. When she did see my daughter, she tested positive for strep and was given a script for penicillin. The pharmacy was out, and recommended we go to another cvs pharmacy for the medicine. After trying to call the other pharmacy, being placed on hold, and disconnected, we came back in and requested they send the prescription to the ******* grocery store pharmacy that was in the same shopping center. Rather than doing this, they had the ** give her a prescription to a medication that was available within the *** clinic, Cephalexin. It is now 4/26 and my daughter was seen by her pediatrician today due to fever, we have also been to the eye doctor twice due to an eye infection since 4/10. She has tested positive for strep today. When they asked what medication she took prior and we told them, they were shocked she was given a medicine from the 1960s and told us that she should have been given penicillin or amoxicillin from the beginning and her constant issues since then are a result of the strep bacteria not being fully taken care of. I realized the ** originally prescribed her the correct medication but instead of sending the prescription, and any revenue for the medication to another pharmacy that actually had it in stock, they gave her a medication they knew was not as good to be able to collect. Im disgusted.

Went to Minute Clinic at *********************************************************************** for a sore throat and fever. Asked to be tested for strep. Nurse saw me but refused to do anything for me saying I should go to ER instead. Charged me for an "Extended" visit for simply taking my pulse. Did not need ER - went to a different urgent care and got treated immediately with an antibiotic which ******* better overnight. CVS Minute Clinici charged me and my insurance company. CVS **************** refused to refund the charges or explain the extended visit charges.

CVS created two billing accounts for my visit to CVS, creating issues with billing. I called to find out why I was being billed. They billed the incorrect insurance. I made sure they had my updated information. I received another bill for the same visit. I called again and was told it was an "internal billing error" due to them reversing my first and last name. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I'd get a call back the same or next day. 4 business days later, no call. I called again asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told my issue had been resolved and she would not send me to a supervisor. I reiterated verbatim what I was told about an internal billing error. She refused for 15 minutes to send me to a supervisor, telling me my issue had been handled and the person I spoke to previously told me incorrectly that I would receive a call from a supervisor. When I said my issue was not the bill itself, but the "internal billing error" and that I was not called back by a supervisor, She continued to tell me my issue was resolved and she would not be transferring me to a supervisor.

Horrible online billing. It seems like they issue a new account every time we visit. Then we pay the bill through our bank only to have a refund issued. Then they have the gall to turn us into collections for the payment made and then refunded. I understand that it was likely applied to the incorrect account but honestly, wouldn't common sense come into play for outstanding balances and refunds from the same address?

I asked the fee for a TB test for a volunteer job. I was told *****. I paid that and was given a return time to get it read. They then tried to charge me another ***** to read it! Doctors offices NEVER charge for follow up visits. I am a health professional and find this appalling. What is humorous is that I was just going to pay it at the visit, although I find it ridiculous, but their computer system was down. I have contacted them repeatedly without a return answer, and instead got sent to a collection agency. I will never use a CVS again.

It's sad that my husband went in on Friday and was told he had picked up something going around and sent home without any medication. Monday had to go to an ER walking and found he had pneumonia. Thanks CVS minute clinic
