Dear Ms. R*****:
This letter is in response to the above-referenced complaint filed with your office on November 14, 2022. The
allegations of the complaint have been investigated.
Mr. ****** obtained the account from our Alamogordo, NM office on December 29, 2021, in the amount of $680.00
and agreed to repay it in (8) monthly installments of $85.00 beginning January 29, 2022. Seven payments were
received totaling $390.00, and the date of first delinquency is listed as October 31, 2022. World received a payoff in
the amount of $49.75 on November 11, 2022.
World understands that you would like the negative information on your credit report removed however, World is
required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”) to report the information timely and accurately to the bureaus.
In order to obtain positive payment history, payments must be paid in full amount due on or before the set due date.
Paying less than full or after the due date will result in negative credit reporting and may result in late charges and/or
added interest. Negative reporting marks remain on credit reports for a period of 7 to 10 years based on the first
date of delinquency, not the contract start date.
Based on the review of the account, the information reported to the Agencies is correct and according to industry
standards. If Mr. ****** has any additional issues with how the Agencies are reporting the account data, he may
dispute it directly with them.
If Mr. ****** has any additional questions regarding this account, he may contact our Customer Care center at 1-

Dear Ms. R*****:
This letter is in response to the above-referenced complaint filed with your office on November 10,

Ms. ****** obtained her account from our Columbus, GA office on February 20, 2020, in the amount of

I took out a loan with Security Finance, *** ** **** St., * ** ** NM 87901 for $680.00 on 3/29/22. I paid it faithfully every month. Security Finance went out of business in May, 2022. I asked where I should make the payments for the balance of $295.00. I was told that they would contact me. I wasn't told who "they" were. Nobody contacted me. On 11/4/22, I discovered that my credit had been ruined. My credit score went from close to 584 to 489. World Finance Corp., **** **** St., * ** *, NM 87901 had reported my payments were delinquent to TransUnion, which I have a dispute filed. On 11/7/22, I called World Finance and spoke to the supervisor, Carol, who was completely unhelpful. She kept saying that they had sent notices every month and I did not respond to them. I kept telling her I never received them. Finally, I asked her what address she was sending them to. It was the wrong address: **** ******** instead of **** *****. I asked her to retract the damage to my credit score and she said not until the loan is completely paid off. She also had the audacity to say that I had paid the May, 2022 payment at World Finance instead of Security Finance, which is incorrect and I have proof. So my credit score has to be in the gutter for the next four months because of their idiotic mistake. Also they are charging me a late fee of $12.75 which is unjust. The account # for Secuity Finance is ***** and the account # for World Finance is *********. I didn't notice that Security Finance started putting the wrong address on my receipts until after this fiasco. My husband has acute COPD and I often have to take care of him, which is quite a substantial distraction in my life. I can't always be expected to run behind people I'm doing business with as a customer and correct their mistakes.Customer Answer

Regards,
******* ****The crux of the problem is that somehow World Finance Corporation had an incorrect address for me, thus, couldn't contact me and give me a bill. The address World Finance Corporation had: **** ** ********, * ** *, NM 87901. My correct address, which I gave to Security Finance Corporation years ago, is **** ***** St., * ** *, NM 87901. Last May, when Security Finance went out of business, I asked Bertha where I am supposed to make the rest of my payments. She said "they" will contact you. She didn't say who "they" are. This is why I never received any bills or knowledge of who I am supposed to make payments to. Because of this situation, which I had no control over, my credit is now ruined.

In the month of June 2022 someone opened a fraudulant World Finance account #**** at a World Finance location in ****** ****, GA and was given a loan for over. Their loan compliance and branch manager Jessica H***** (tele. 404-********), reached out to me in early August by pulling my credit (2 hard pulls against my credit, one for loan and other to obtain a contact number). During this call she advised me that she reviewed the file and noticed that the drivers license was fraudulent and that the address used was not valid. At her direction, I traveled to a World Finance office near my home in *************, GA to submit a copy of my drivers license, proof of residency, and a utility bill and completed an Identity Theft Victim Complaint and Affidavit and had it notarized. I had to schedule some time off work to be able to complete a police report. Once the police report was filed and ready for pick up, I needed some additional time off to be able to go pick it up. Jessica H***** then informed me that I needed to send in a color photo ID as the one they copied at the ************* office was not in color. Therefore I sent both the color ID and copy of the police report to *************worldacceptance.com. I followed up on this weekly and it has yet to be resolved. I have made multiple calls, sent emails, filed an additional ID theft Affidavit #********* with the Federal Trade Commission and sent to World Acceptance Corporation via FEDEX without resolution. Now my credit is negatively impacted by this situation. My credit has late payments since July that have been reflected on my credit report and my credit score has dropped over 100 points in the last 3 months related to this fraudulent account that World Finance knows is fradulant as they notified me of the issue in July 2022. I am in this predicament due to their employees not conducting sufficient document validation and scrutinizing loan requests. This issue must be resolved and my cedit worthiness restored.Customer Answer

I told her I was filling chapter 7. I called the corporate office again and demand of this change and a call back from a much higher supervisor. No call was return.
Nov 3rd she calling again by Law she can not call me once I told her to cease all contact with me, I made her aware this case will be disputed in a chapter 7, due to her harassment calls. I will deal with another branch but not hers.

Dear Ms. R*****:
This letter is in response to the above-referenced complaint filed with your office on October 17, 2022. The
allegations of the complaint have been investigated.
Ms. ****** obtained the account from our Pekin, IL office on September 12, 2019, in the amount of $560.00 and

BBB Business Profiles are provided solely to assist you in exercising your own best judgment. BBB asks third parties who publish complaints, reviews and/or responses on this website to affirm that the information provided is accurate. However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.
When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
