Hello - - I was notified from Advance America that my loan was processed and asked if I was happy. I was extremely confused, as I have never taken a loan from Advanced America. I spoke with the gentleman who explained to me that this must have been fraud and that I needed to file a police report. I did so immediately and thought everything would be taken care of on their end of things. Since then, I have received weekly statements and a delinquent notice. I have been on the phone with them multiple times and to no avail. Basically a loan was taken out online (in my name) with incorrect and fraudulent information in the amount of $1,000.00. My credit report has never been checked and I do not believe they used my correct social and also have my city incorrect on the paperwork. ( I have all of my credit Bureaus frozen and check them frequently) Recently, I was told from Advance America that I need to send in the police report with all of this information and they would take care of it. I cannot do so, as police reports are not public record in Kansas, without a lawyer or court hearing, I cannot obtain my police report. So, all that I am trying to do is clear a fraudulent loan that a company gave money to someone without actually confirming an identity or credit report etc. Please let me know what further information I can provide and if this is something that you can assist me with - Thank you - **** *****

I got a text from ******* ** stating that I was approved up to $8,000 on 4/22/24 from Advance America. Then he transferred me to ******* and was approved for $5,000. The next day (today 4/23/24) ******* told me to buy 2 ****** gift cards and put $250 on each card which I did unfortunately-stupid me. Before that, they needed my account information, driver license, user name and password. I suspected a scam and told them that it was a scam. They proceeded to tell me it wasn’t a scam and they threaten me if I didn’t do what they told me to do. I did it anyway. Later on that day, they promised me that my loan would be in my account within minutes, etc. it wasn’t and I called them again and they said they are waiting for approval from their department. Still no loan. Once again I called the numbers and ********* number was disconnected while ********* phone was restricted. I was SCAMMED and didn’t receive my loan. In the meantime, I filed claims from my bank for the reversal transactions and am afraid that my account will be overdrawn by the time I go to my bank tomorrow to close my account and open a new one. I will be filing with the local police about this tomorrow (4/24/24) about me being a victim of this scam. I’m warning others, if it seems to be true it’s not but a SCAM!!

I was offered a loan by America Advance of 5000 dollars. So I was being continuously called by the company say they were going to deposit money into my account. I completed a Docusign and I was ready to receive my loan. So I was told to go to ******* to have the cash center scan a barcode that they texted me to load the money that they sent me back to them. My account was in the negative so I was grateful that they were going to help. So later that night they deposited another 3000 in my account that I was not aware of. I know I keep saying deposit but that morning I noticed they were reversing my car payments as well as my insurance payments, also they reversed a lot of insufficient money charges from ***** ***** They hacked my account, that's where the money came from. So I get an email stating my car payment is 33 days late. So now I'm behind in my car payments as well as my life insurance payments. They need to be stopped. Also they were calling from their ******* Nobody is to be trusted. They also told me to get a lawyer.

On 4/13/2024 I applied for a loan on Advance America's website. I chose the debit card from my bank that is valid, and listed online in my account for the money to go to. After not receiving the funds, I looked closer and realized they put the money on a card that was either a card from long ago, or a card that never existed. Even if this card was attached to my bank, it was inactive and my bank has no record of the card, and I cannot locate any other bank account that would have an open account t with that card. I called Advance America the the immediate Monday, because customer support was not open, and I've been calling them daily asking for either the money, or for them to tell me where the money went. It is now Friday the 19th of April, it's been nearly a week yet they have no update. They said they were tracing the funds after they opened up a ticket 5 days ago. I find it impossible that they would not know where they send their money One agent told me that basically it's my fault, and that I should know the card. I did not put the money on that inactive card, advance america did. I cannot retrieve my loan from a card that does not exist. Another agent told me she was all over it and contacting someone else who was in a meeting, and would be done in 15 minutes, and never called me back. I am not rich. I am poor, and that is why I'm forced to use Advance America to cover bills whenever there are extra expenses. In less than a week, they will more than likely reach in and take money out of my bank to cover the loan I never received. The fact that they've gotten nowhere with their ticket in 5 working days and never called me back, shows they truly don't care about the misfortune of their customers even if they caused it. I want the money immediately, or they need to withdraw and forgive the loan immediately, and apologize, paying any fees I incurred due to their flawed system and lack of customer service.

      Dear Cindy:

Advance America, Cash Advance Centers of
California, LLC (“Advance America”) is in receipt of a complaint filed by ******** ******* We have thoroughly reviewed and appreciate the opportunity to respond. It
      appears ******** ****** is a victim of a scam.

In the complaint, ******** ****** states, “Hi
today I received a call from a number ************ and I was told that I was
being subpoenaed to come to court for a case from 2011 for $3,000 I’m not aware
of I pay my bills my credit is excellent if anything was on my credit it would

Please be advised that the communications in
question did not originate from us Advance America. Furthermore, Advance
America does not own or control the phone number ****** *********. Advance
America would never threaten customers with legal action that could not
lawfully be undertaken, nor would it condone such behavior from third parties
      acting on its behalf.

According to our records, ******** ******

three hundred dollars ($300). First Financial confirmed they sold the loan to
United Debt Holdings who is no longer in business.

The communications stated in ******** ******’s
complaint appear to be part of an effort to defraud consumers, by falsely
claiming to represent Advance America and further appear to be using improper
and illegal collection practices while doing so. We have previously
communicated similar efforts to state and federal regulators as well as the
Federal Bureau of Investigation and local law enforcement agencies.  Lastly, Advance America does not operate
brick-and-mortar storefront locations in the state of New Jersey, nor does it
offer online services to residents of New Jersey.

      To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Advance America located at ***** ** ** **** *** ********* ** *****. My experience with this company has been nothing short of appalling and has left me deeply dissatisfied and frustrated.

Despite my explicit request due to severe hardship, Advance America proceeded to withdraw monthly payments from my account through ACH without authorization. This action caused my account to have insufficient funds, resulting in additional financial strain and inconvenience for me.

Upon contacting Advance America to rectify the situation, I was met with unhelpful and unsympathetic responses. Despite being transferred to their "Customer Care" department, the individual I spoke to failed to provide any meaningful assistance and instead directed me to email ********************. When I requested a fax number to expedite the resolution process, I was outright refused.

To exacerbate matters, Advance America demonstrated a complete lack of cooperation when I sought assistance from a consumer advocacy organization. They refused to engage in dialogue or provide any assistance, leaving me to navigate this ordeal alone.

The conduct of Advance America reflects a blatant disregard for customer welfare and ethical business practices. Their actions have needlessly compounded my financial distress during an already challenging period. It is evident that their profit-driven agenda takes precedence over genuine concern for customer well-being.

I am filing this complaint to raise awareness of the heartless and unethical practices employed by Advance America. I urge individuals to exercise caution when considering conducting business with this company, as their actions demonstrate a callous disregard for customer needs and integrity.

I sincerely hope that this complaint serves as a deterrent to others and prompts Advance America to reconsider their business practices and prioritize customer care and satisfaction.

their loan was sold to ***** ********* *** on December 19, 2021, with a balance

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.

      1. I have filed a complaint with the CFO and they know that because they've already replied to it.

      2. I filed a complaint with Identity theft.gov.

      3. I'll be filing a complaint with the SC attorney generals office.

      4. They know the phone number isn't mine, but they refuse to supply the email. Because they know it's an identity theft account and if they supply it, they can't deny it. It's a Gmail account with the numbers 2399 in it.

      5. This company is complaisant with identity theft.

I will also be filing a complaint with the SC attorney generals office. The fact that they refuse to supply the original application is proof they are aware it identity theft and are ok with it.  Again the 207 area code phone number isn't mine, bet the email is gmail with 2399 in it, bet it was a ******* ****** ** ******.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.

This is complete nonsense from Advance America:

"This letter is written under a full reservation of rights and is not intended to be, nor should it be construed as, any admission of liability or as a waiver of any rights afforded to Advance America, Cash Advance Centers of Florida, LLC under any applicable laws, statutes, or procedures."

The original application is now evidence to a crime and I want a copy of it for evidence to supply to the FTC and DOJ.
