Firefly Solar delivered in all areas. Their sales staff was patient, answering all my questions and never high pressure. The design team continued to answer my questions and designed my system the way I requested (battery/equipment placement, etc.). The installation team was efficient, keeping the work areas clean during the process. The city inspection and power company inspection passed on the first visit and I am happy to say my home is now producing solar electricity and back-up power via my Tesla Powerwall. I highly recommend you taking a look at Firefly for your solar needs.Firefly Solar

I recently had a solar installation done at my home, and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. The entire process, from start to finish, was smooth, efficient, and professional. I highly recommend contacting Ron at Firefly Solar for anyone considering solar installation.
Ron at Firefly Solar was knowledgeable and guided me through every step of the process. he took the time to understand my energy needs and provided a customized solution that perfectly matched my requirements. Their expertise and attention to detail were evident throughout the entire project.
Jeremiah and the installation crew were punctual, respectful, and incredibly skilled. They completed the installation in a timely manner while ensuring the highest level of quality. The panels were seamlessly integrated into my roof, and the overall aesthetic of my home was not compromised at all. I'm excited to see the long-term savings.
What impressed me the most was the exceptional customer service provided by Firefly Solar. They were always available to answer my questions and address any concerns promptly. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is truly commendable.

These cats know what they're doing. I had a complete system put in last year and so far I love it. Took a long time to get the building permits but after that got it was installed in about 2 days including a ***** *********.
Have only lost power one significant time and the switch over to battery backup was flawless. I have two refrig/freezers and a deep freezer plus the background stuff running and the battery only used a small percent in the 6 hours the power was out.
The only complaint I have is the system is not putting out quite as much power as they quoted but with the Ensure Guarantee I hope this will be rectified.

I intentionally waited for 90 days post-installation before preparing and submitting a review of my experience with Firefly Solar. Only because the Winter months are not the time to evaluate the efficiency of a new solar system. First, working with the folks at Firefly was essentially stellar. Customer service is alive and well. Although difficulties in the supply chain for solar panels caused some changes in the manufacturer, the substitute was excellent and, best of all, American made. Firefly utilized top-of-the line rated/quality components from Mission Solar, Enphase and Ironridge for my system. And when higher priced panels were necessary to meet the specifications of our contract, Firefly maintained the original cost estimate. Roof placement was optimal and installation a piece of cake. Pricing seemed well within the national average and made easier with the 30% tax credit. During the past several weeks, system efficiency has reached 79%. I can only image what heading into the summer solstice will bring! Finally, when I had difficulty deciphering my first Duke electric bills, their technicians stepped up to personally explain. I unequivocally endorse and recommend Firefly Solar. I wish them great success!Firefly Solar

If you're on the fence about solar, call Firefly today. It's a no-brainer. Here's why we recommend Firefly. TLDR, we had a very complicated situation; they listened to us at every step; they proceeded carefully; they handled everything seamlessly and breezed through what we considered to be daunting administrative and technical challenges; and everything works exactly like it should.
- Cameron listened to our needs and sized the system perfectly. It's been in use through various weather conditions now, and despite us charging a plug-in hybrid and doing a bunch of laundry, we can already tell we're essentially net zero.
- Cameron walked us through tax implications and recommended specific solutions to get us the most for our money.
- We live in a homeowner's association with strict requirements. We didn't need to lift a finger. Firefly designed the system, got HOA and local approval, and even came up with a creative, no-cost-to-us solution when the HOA required a change.
- We have a detached garage with a Level 2 EV charger for a plug-in hybrid Jeep; the power meter is on the house. We have no idea how they did it, but Firefly put panels on the garage and the house and integrated them seamlessly with a Powerwall battery in the detached garage. Everything just works.
- The onsite team was outstanding, super knowledgeable, polite, and they cleaned everything up. The install looks great, and the house and yard looked like nobody had even been there.
- We know there were technical challenges, but Mike and the onsite team reached back to the home office and to vendors and just took care of it. This team didn't wing it, they took the time and effort to do it right.
YMMV, but if they can handle our challenging setup, they can probably handle yours too. We have a full-home backup, enough solar power to easily power the house and charge an EV, and a warranty so we don't have to worry about a thing for the life of the system. 12.15KW system (ground mount) $57k before rebates which should bring it down to around $28k.
So let me start by saying that I am very much a real person and not connected personally in any way with Firefly. I say that because it was hard for me when looking through reviews of solar companies to get a feel for the reputation of who I would be working with. There are so many reviews, some good that seemed fake and some bad, that when you actually read them, you could tell was more of a problem with expectations.
With that said I can honestly say that I had a fantastic experience with Firefly and would 100% use them if I could do it over again. Every company will give you a sales pitch but I really do feel like their professionalism and willingness to hold up the process until I felt comfortable moving forward was top notch.

Sales Rep was Amy-*** W******. She was fantastic to deal with from the start. She was very knowledgable about the products offered and when she didn't know something she wouldn't pretend she did. She would just get me the answer. I am the type to be very thorough and if I'm being honest I kind of put her through a good bit when I was vetting companies lol. I just asked a ton of questions and didn't accept anything until I also understood it. She was helpful and patient.
Project Manager was Jeremiah J****. Also fantastic to deal with. Very nice guy and even though at this point I felt like I understood pretty well what I was getting into he still had some good insights that I didn't know. Great to work with and a good communicator.
Overall I highly recommend them. They are what solar has been needing imo. A reputable, growing company that actually wants to have happy customers in the area to help them grow by word of mouth. Well, consider me a happy customer!
