    ZuntaFi has completed an investigation of the complaint submitted by the consumer. ZuntaFi is the loan servicer and handles the billing and other services related to repayment of the consumer's loan after their request for financing was approved by the creditor and the financed amount was sent to the company for the requested product or service. In review of the account, ZuntaFi began servicing the loan on August 16, 2022. On August 29, 2022, the consumer contacted ZuntaFi regarding the cancellation at which time ZuntaFi advised the consumer to contact *********************** regarding availability of cancellation. ZuntaFi is not affiliated with ***********************, therefore has no authorization to cancel a loan or speak with their office regarding the consumer's product or service. We again encourage the consumer to contact *********************** to discuss concerns regarding the product or service directly with their office.

    I received your email and forwarded the email to our owners. They have reviewed your message as well as your files.

    Typically, based on the order form you filled out and signed with Kevin in your home, we offer a full refund if the procedure is cancelled up to 5 business days prior to the scheduled procedure, which would have been a cancellation date of 8/22/2022 or before. We did not receive notice within that time frame. However, our owner team has decided to refund the full amount, despite the delay in notification.

    We have, since the day the nurse attempted to come to your home, tried to contact you multiple times regarding your cancellation with no response. Please understand that because the cancellation did not take place in the agreed upon time frame, the refund will take a bit to process but we have already begun that process and you should expect a refund, to the financing company, within 30 days of the receipt of the below email, dated 09/12/2022.

    ZuntaFi is the loan servicer for the creditor of the loan and is not affiliated with ******************. While the complaint is not about ZuntaFi, we again escalated the concern to the creditor and received the following response:
    "********* will fully refund this patient even though they have a signed agreement that states there are no refunds after 5 days and her request was much later than this. The issue is the patient will not respond to any communication and has not signed the release so they can issue the refund. She won't accept calls or return messages. They have sent emails that she has not responded to. If she will simply call this group back and sign the release, they will refund her immediately."

    I refinanced a student loan I had through Zumba Fi with an outside company. Upon them receiving payment for the loan in full according to my statement, they took the amount owed for collection fees and turned it into a principle balance and is charging interest on that money owed. A collection fee is a charge for the collection term and was not financed to me. This transition is not part of the agreement we had, and I am not sure they are able to charge interest on money that was not financed to me.

    ZuntaFi has completed an investigation of the account for the complaint submitted to our office. In review of the account, the consumer completed the rehabilitation program to resolve the default on July 5, 2022. The amount owing as of the June 30, 2022 statement was $*********. ZuntaFi received a consolidation payment on July 18, 2022 for $*********. Per the terms and conditions of the signed promissory note, payments are applied in the following order: fees, accrued interest and then principal. In review of the account, the payment was applied per the terms and conditions of the promissory note. Any fees assessed due to delinquency or default are not part of the principal balance, therefore interest does not accrue on the fee balance.

    The payment application process is described in each monthly billing statement, within the borrower portal and within the terms and conditions of the signed promissory note. If the consumer has any additional questions regarding the payment application, we encourage them to contact our office.
