This is the fifth Larson Storm Door that I have purchased/owned. It is the first one that on installation day the retractable screen popped on the first usage. (it's tension is lost on the first use) I purchased a LARSON® Lakeview Screen Away® 36" x 80" White Retractable Screen Splitview Storm Door Model Number: Lakeview_Collection_Fv_White_36X80 in June/July. Larsons response to this defect was to send me a new screen which I have to install. My installer said that it's easier to replace the whole door itself than take the whole door apart to replace that retractable screen. Can a Larsons tech come replace the screen? Or should I just have my installer take the door down and I will return this defective product? (which comes out of my pocket/having the installer take down and then put up a new door)

I purchased a storm door from ****** the store in July 2024 product is from Larson it was installed by ****** and a few days later I notice bugs building up at the bottom of door when I use the screen ****** came out twice one of the times I was not home so installer did seem to understand the issue the second time I was home show installer the gap at bottom of storm window when screen is in use and was told that is how the door is made. Larson told ****** that is how door is made.
When I was shopping at ****** for storm door the floor display does not have a gap at bottom when screen is in use. Pictures online do not show gap.
I am not happy with the performance of this door
Also I was told my ****** that I my need to purchase another door…what consumer buys storms doors if product is not meeting customer satisfaction

I purchased the screen door from ***** on June 3, 2021. Despite very minimal use, the screen has already fallen off the rail that opens and closes the door. This issue significantly impacts the functionality and usability of the product.

It has been weeks, and my very expensive door Is lying on its side in the backyard. It fell off the hinges and Larson does not answer my emails.

Larson Doors - It has been weeks, and my very expensive door Is lying on its side in the...
After a very short time the door fell off of the hinges and Larson said its not under warranty and does not answer my emails anymore. My prior door worked for over 10 years and this one is useless after a few months. I've invested almost a thousand dollars and Larson said the warranty does not apply.

I purchased a storm door from them 6 yrs back and had issues with the door handle/latching since it was installed theybblamed it on the install (which the store we purchased it frok installed it) and so we redid the install to make sure everything was good(it wasnt) then my mom got sick with cancer so all that was put on the back burner and now they are saying it's out of warranty even tho when I contacted them it was in warranty and I have email proof but they are saying they don't have email, I SENT THEM THE EMAIL ... THEY WERE JUST VERY RUDE... supervisor too! I feel they don't want to fix their faulty door and brushed me off initially so it would go past the warranty time frame and I would be screwed over

i have purchased 5 Larson storm doors over the last few years for different properties. I mention this because I want to establish that I am very familiar with this product. There is one door that I have had problems with since I purchased it. In fact, I called their "help desk" several times during the installation because I felt the door was "racked" as it did not close properly. Ultimately we got it to close enough but due to the striker friction it would not consistently close. I continued to adjust the closing force but it was masking that the gap was not sufficient. I have called or texted several times through the years and received replacement parts but the real problem in my opinion is that the frame is defective as it does not have proper gaps around the entire door. This is highlighted by the fact that I have to push the plastic gasket in daily because it works its way loose and I have had a replacement sent that does not help for long. For the last 3 months I have not had a piston closer attached to the door because I cannot trust it and several times the door has flown open because it has not latched properly. Twice I have tried to figure this out with chat because the phone system states that there is no one available and to call back later. Instead of continuing to deal with my concerns not being addressed I am filing this complaint.

    We have contacted ****** manufacturing at *** ******** **** ********* *** ********* **.
Speaking to customer service and *** ***** ******* They agreed after seeing pictures of our security doors multiple not painted screen metal areas. We had already been in contact with ****** **** ******* City of industry.
We received email from ****** to give store email to order doors 2/8/23
They did but doors per window Fit installer **** ****** on 3/10 doors were same and some areas worse.
Conversations with ****** and ****** ensued. On 3/18 *** ***** ****** who acknowledged that this qas not their quality if doors would contact ****** to reorder again. He called and told us mow not so willing to sand and paint doors as ****** had suggested and in which ****** told us that that would void warranty. Also pain would not stick on baked painted doors. Now it's suggested. After research we found out even from windows Fit that would not work. ****** also suggested het money and buy elsewhere. We would then be left with frames and weakened IF we had to make new holes. We are losing out. Also warranty never says new doors could be sold new and unpainted.
This is a quality control issue.
We are asking ****** send out correct doors painted screen metal portion of doors and let lowe' install.
Larson.smr ***** ****** agreed he'd have to speak with his superiors
We are filing this complaint so ****** would work with us as in the beginning . Now they want us to settle with corrections that would leave our warranty voided. Also doors would rust and spread quickly.
We will also be left without screen doors since ours were taken at first installation

I ordered a Larson screen door that took 5 weeks to come in. I paid to have it delivered since I am disabled and cannot get it home myself. I opened the box and the door has a defect on both sides. I immediately contacted Larson, sent them photos and even after I explained it was built into the door and wasn't removable without damaging the door, they kept insisting it was just some adhesive I could clean off with a cleaner. Then they told me I had to take it back to the store even after I explained I wasn't able to do that which is why I paid to have it delivered. I told her this is obviously a manufacturer defect and I need it picked up and replaced. She then told me we don't do that and I needed to take it back or fill out a warranty and see what happens. I JUST purchased, received and opened the box. This is totally unacceptable especially after waiting 5 weeks and paying for delivery.

The closer broke, which is supposed to have a lifetime warrenty on. larson sent another closer that was also defective. Now they want to send a third closer. We cant afford to pay another repair man to come out a third time. We paid twice for 2 handymen to come and fix the door. These parts are defective and impossible to put together. There are thousands of complaints for the same part and issue that we are having. This door needs to be taken off the market. we want to be refunded the full amount for what we purchased the door for. We are left with a broken door that no one can repair. They advertise videos on their website on how to repair closer which is misleading and incorrect.
