      I have 3 prepaid Visa gift cards that I am unable to use. I've called the number on the back of the card and can't get an option that can solve my issue or a real person. The website I am directed to not the back of the card allows me to check my balance which all 3 cards show as positive balances for the amount indicated on each card and that they were activated at Target on the purchase date. The cards have been declined at Amazon, the grocery store, a restaurant and elsewhere. There doesn't appear to be an option to select informing that the card keeps getting declined for unknown reasons. As of now I am unable to access $250 in gift card gifts.       So I HAD and account with MoneyNetwork and was hacked. When I called the number to report it, the representative told me that the only thing that they could do was to close my account and reopen it. They could not tell me what the hackers actually accomplished or what information was leaked or how I could attempt to see what was leaked to the hackers. They were able to get into my account and changed the phone number associated with my account, but I did not get to see anything else that they did before my account got closed. I got no conformation number or anything to get assistance further. This is not the only issue that I have had with this company, but this is the most concerning.

      We bought a debit card from Dollar General and put $200 on it. When activated, it said we can't put more on it but we can spend the $200 online. Today 6/21/25 I tried to use it online and it will not work, says its refused. I tried contacting Visa and Serve and Pathward and NO ONE WOULD DO ANYTHING.

      I was issued a payment card for a medical study I completed. My card was reported lost/stolen. I asked to have another card sent. They did not have my apt number on my address. As per their instructions I emailed several times with my proof of address. They have not processed my email. They refuse to issue me a new card and are holding my money.

      I purchased a $200 Mastercard Gift Card issued by Pathward, N.A., through mastercardgiftcard.com. The card is fully activated and shows a $200 balance, but it has been declined at every single online merchant, including reputable and secure platforms like Newegg and PayPal.

      I have followed all instructions: entered the correct billing address, CVV, expiration date, and even attempted multiple secure transactions below the card’s value. Every attempt is declined, despite the card being marked active and fully funded.

      I have tried repeatedly to contact customer service via the listed phone number (**************), but the automated system only gives balance information and ends the call with no way to reach a live representative. I’ve now spent hours attempting to get support and resolve the issue, and I cannot access or use my funds at all.

      - This is unacceptable. I either need:

      - A functioning card that can be used online on ***********************

      - The ability to transfer the funds to another payment platform (e.g., Cash App, bank account)

      - A full refund

      I am filing this complaint to formally request intervention and a resolution to regain access to my $200.

      May 31,2025 from12pm-5pm, having been trying to transfer my funds to another account and the system kept rejecting my request.
      I contact customer support via chat and the first operator asked if my card was lost and I noted that it was lost but I need to transfer funds to another account and he went and deactivated my card.

      I contacted a second agent via chat and ****** noted that I needed to send in documentation that my address had changed.

      Now I do not have access to my funds, like being bank robbed, my purse stolen by thieving criminals.

      The mailing address that I tried to enter into the system would not take. So, I need all of my finances in checking and savings mailed to me on a debt card or check asap.

      Hi again. I purchased a spendwell debit card at ****** ******* in Morley mi around April 20 2025. I put $20. I could not one time use the card to purchase anything online or offline. I called. I was told some ridiculous answer and the card never worked. I received the permanent card and activated it on May 1 2025. My balance did not transfer. I assumed it would. I don't have the temporary card. I have the last 4 digits of it and the container. ****. I called for help. They said i can't transfer the money from 1 card to another card. No other company does this. I can't get my $20 back or put on my new card. I attempted to close my account. The system will not let me close it until I explain why I'm leaving. I gave an explanation. It's very short because there is not enough room given in the characters for a full explanation. The fact that I don't want to use their card since they stole my money should be enough. I created the account for myself the day I purchased the temporary card. I activated the new card may 1. Now they're saying the account was created may 1. No it was not. I couldn't use the temporary card at all so I had to create an account. In fact I can look on Amazon for the exact date because I tried to use it there several times. I want my $20 refunded and I want the account closed. Im not paying account fees because they are refusing to close the account. I shouldn't have to explain it. It's my choice. It's my money and I dont want to use spendwell. This card is a scam. They are stealing my money. If i can't use it to remove the $20 I put on it that's theft. It says i have $20 on it. Yet im denied every time I have attempted to take the money from the card. The new card ends in ****. I will NEVER put a dime on it. I want the account closed. I can't close it until I give a satisfactory answer to why. It will not accept my reason. This is ridiculous. I shouldn't have to give a reason. I just don't want to be ripped off more by them.

      I closed my bank account because Card Premium by Pathward is going to chg people a fee w of 9.95 a mo when it stated it was free!
      I contacted them via email to close my account which they did
      I called and asked them where my 52.15 was
      Was informed it can only give me my money back via check that will take 2-3 weeks!! This is totally unacceptable. I need my money back soon!

      Respected Sir/Madam, Meta Bank must know, accept, admit, and understand that a person who holds a CASH RECEIPT, CARD’S FRONT SIDE PHOTO, CARD’S BACK SIDE PHOTO THEN WILL BE TREATED LIKE THE CARDOWNER. Meta Bank fraudulently creates chargebacks at the request of some residential scammers. If a prepaid gift card was purchased with cash and it was used by a person to purchase goods or services from a business then how can another person come with the same card and claim that card belongs to him? Meta Bank has brain or not? If it's a bank's debit card or credit card then the owner's name is printed on his card. Here he can claim the ownership of his debit or credit card. But in a prepaid gift card scenario which was purchased with hard cash, the terms are quite the opposite. A person who uses his gift card for the first time with a cash receipt then he will be treated as the card owner. There should not be any secondary owner for the same Meta Bank gift card that any person can claim. However, Meta Bank has created some unrealistic policies supporting scammers, fraudsters, and dishonest people for misusing their gift cards to gain money fraudulently by creating false chargebacks. If Meta Bank sets this kind of useless rule, then honest businesses like ours can’t survive in the market. I submitted all the requested card ownership documents to challenge the chargeback case but Meta Bank rejected them. This is not acceptable at all. I attached the chargeback case document here which was received from Meta Bank. Please take a look and ask them to reject the chargeback case as the charge is valid and legitimate. Kindly ask them to refund my money immediately which they took from my bank account. Please do the needful to get me justice. Thank you.

Can clarify your roll in this complaint?  Is this your gift card that you're having an issue with?  Or are you the business owner that the card was used at?  Blackhawk Network is unable to locate the account in question and the Dispute Notification is not one of their forms for a dispute.  Regardless of if you're the consumer that used the gift card or the business that accepted the gift card, we would need the full 16-digit card number in order to locate the account and review the transaction in question.  If you're unable to provide that, we recommend you use the information at the bottom of the Dispute Notification to contact the Heartland Dispute Resolution Team and discuss options to appeal.
