  One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Hour plus hold times morning, nights, doesn't matter and still can't help good help. Tried to order birth certificates and order was cancelled without my approval or request! Still begging them for a refund, it's like someone just stole $41 out of my wallet. Go to your county office and just order them there and wait 10 min and you're done. I didn't know that was an option, I learned my lesson, never use these terrible company again.

  They scammed me out of $72.00. They do not answer phone or live chats. I was on hold for over 2 HOURS. My daughter needs her birth certificate for employment. I paid extra to have it rushed and over nighted. What a joke this company is.

  Scam of a business. Took our money for a birth certificate for our daughter, claiming a quick turn around time after we submit our required documents (1-2 business days to review). 15 days later, they are still all in review, and it is nearly impossible to contact customer service. If you manage to get someone, they wont be able to help since they cant review documents.
  Submitted a chargeback and will never use them again.

  Look at all the other ratings…not one with more than one star.
  Didn’t want to have to go in person to get the birth certificate for my son sand the hospital provided us with a “vital check” option to order everything online for an extra fee.
  Don’t care about the extra fee, just didn’t want to make the drive as it’s very inconvenient. Turns out after two weeks of not being able to get ahold of anyone they left my account in “review” even though I submitted notarized documents. I was charged $15 up front plus another $20 to get THEIR form notarized.
  I ended making the drive to get the documents myself as I am on a time crunch to add my child to my health insurance policy.
  Dont get scammed, DO NOT pay to have this company do anything for you. It’s only going to add to the stress you are already going through.
  I’d give no stars if I could.

  DO NOT USE! They took our money, did not provide a service, and refused to return the money.....yes, it sounds like and is a scam. Even after multiple attempts through multiple court documents, this place refused to provide the death certificate requested, refused to return our money after refusing service (to the original payment method), responds approximately every 7 days, and does not identify the person responding.
  Go to your local office to get documents and don't use this place! Local offices typically offer online services, are quick to respond, and cheaper than this place.

  I ordered a birth certificate that was to arrive around 2/14. Got a notice that it shipped from the county on 2/14 - when it didn't arrive after 10 days, I called to see if they could put through an expedited order for another, as it clearly got lost in the mail. After being on hold for two hours, I was told I was welcome to place another order myself (ie. pay for a second copy), but if I wanted them to honor the purchase, I would need to wait at two weeks for a response from Cook County and then perhaps they could refund if Cook County didn't want to send out another copy. If they did want to send out another copy, it would likely arrive a few weeks after they received a response from the county. Thus, my order may or may not be refunded, and perhaps would be delivered at least a month past the estimated time (which is past when I need it). There was little sympathy or help, just an explanation of "their protocol." Highly recommend skipping this "service" and instead going straight to the county for your records.

  They "claim" to be A+ rated on their website. They are what kept popping up when I tried to order fm the office of vital stats. When I cked the email on our order was shocked to see the last $59 we had wasn't even going to a birth cert but "instructions" on ho w to order fm the state a.birth certificate. Sounds like a class acto I. Waiting to happen if the FDIC don't get them first.

  I ordered a birth certificate from Vitalchek as the representative for Washington state on February 8th. On the 13th, *** attempted to deliver the birth certificate to me however, the package and the birth certificate were completely soaked through with an unknown chemical that had spilled in the *** truck. I marked out the sensitive info with a pen, resealed the envelope and refused the delivery as per the advice of the *** driver. I contacted Vitalchek on that day via their online submission process but have not heard back. ***  returned the item. However, an employee at Vitalchek took the damaged birth certificate with all of the sensitive data scratched out and put it in a new envelope and had it redelivered to me today on February 20th. The birth certificate is still unusable even though now the chemical is dry. I have spent the last two hours on hold with VitalChek and Its subsidiary Lexus Nexus. And no one is answering. I'm also not able to get through to the Washington state department of vital records. I have submitted another online request as of today. I am simply looking for my birthday ticket to be re-printed and mailed.

  I ordered my NY birth certificate in November and at the end of December I emailed asking the status. They said it would be 140 days from the date I ordered it. The only reason I ordered through them, I thought that was the only way to obtain a New York State license, which is a completely false advertising. You can go through the County Town Clerk. They do not allow you to cancel. If a customer is unsatisfied with the service, they should have the option to cancel. I am not sure how VitalChek is with other states, but with NY it is horrible. They are overpriced and with the 140-day processing time is unacceptable.

  I guess I should have looked here first. Unfortunately I have to use this company to obtain what I needed. But I am experiencing the same issues as others here. No communication, no one answers the phone, they take your money and don’t honor the time lines provided to you. The one thing I have noticed is the inconsistency of the status of the order when checking online and what seems like automated emails about the status of the order. But since I can’t get through to them I cannot confirm what is going on.
