      THEY DENIED ME THE RIGHT TO MY OWN GREAT GRANDPARENT DEATH RECORD AND CHARGED ME A SEARCH FEE FOR SOMETHING THEY ALREADY HAD. 3TIMES THEY DENIED ME AND MY MOM AS WELL AND TOLD ME HER GRANDCHILDREN WOULD HAVE TO ORDER THE RECORD I TOLD THEM SHE WAS BORN IN 1859 THE DESCENDANTS CLOSE TO HER ARE ALL DEAD SO HOW CAN THEY ORDER THE RECORD THEY HAVE ACCESS TO MY FAMILY HISTORY AND I GET DENIED SO NOW OUR FAMILY TREE IS HOLD BECAUSE ALL WE NNED IS THE NAMES OF HER PARENTS. THEY ACT LIKE WE TRYING TO GET LAND OF SOMETHING FOR GOD SAKE WE JUST TRYING TO LEARN WHO OUR FAMILY IS. THEY LOOKING AT THE RECORD I NEED AND TELLING ME I CANNOT HAVE IT THE FEELING YOU GET FROM THAT IS A HURTFUL ONE

      Total SCAM they processed my payment - then added additional fees on to my payment. Because I "did not pay" the additional fees (THE WEBSITE GIVES ME NO OPTION TO PAY) they will not process my request. Therefore they are forcing me to be rejected and have to start over and lose the money they have already taken from me. I would give 0 stars if possible

      Placed an order for a copy of my wife's birth certificate and they canceled the order. Reprocessed the order and still never received anything. They charged me on my debit card and cancelled the order again.

      Ordered death certs in early Nov 2023, submitted requested documentation and got a "documents approved" email a few days later, then.... nothing. Called several times, each time getting a different answer and a promise for a call back that never happens. Today is Jan 26 2024, called and got a robo-operator to confirm the order was cancelled. No reason, just cancelled. Verified with the website as I never got to talk to a human being. Checked my credit card, have a refund for $100. I was charged $115, which includes a $15 service charge. I realize it's only $15, but being charged for completely screwing up my order ticks me off. Never did get to a human so I gave up..
      I thought the government was good at screwing things up. These people are the champs. They should be running the post office and dmv.

      Someone in getting a cut of all the birth certificate. I requested a birth certificate on Nov 2023, they cashed the check within days but then again up to this day I haven't received birth certificate. It's been more than 3 months. They are uncompatable staff. They must be smoking something because evey time I called they transfer me to the wrong department.

      The way the forms are set up, they do not leave proper space for signing. It took a long time to get my paperwork approved because my "signatures did not match." I had to send the signature verification form multiple times, eventually signing in the wrong place so to be visible, just to get it approved. I tried to call multiple times during the process, and was never able to reach anyone. My documents then took an excessive amount of time to get shipped. Avoid them if possible.

      This is apparently a scam. They charged me $27 extra for next-day on top of their exorbitant fees. It's been a week with nothing received. When I checked with ***, they printed a label but didn't bother to mail it. The customer service ranges from rude and totally useless to nonexistent. There is apparently nothing they hate more in this world than their legal obligations to their customers.

      This company is ridiculous! I don't understand why they're needed. We used them because the ny.gov website told us we need to, and they said we would get birth certificate in about 7 months. After 8 months they said they were still backed up. We then called our county and got the birth certificate in 2 days through vital statistics. When we asked for our money back through vital check, they said they can't even though it wasn't even processed yet. Now we finally got the birth certificate and it's the wrong one!!

      Top 5 worst customer service experiences in my life!
      I ordered my birth certificate in April 2023. Last night I received an alert from *** that they were delivering a package to an old address of mine from VitalRecords. I had honestly forgotten about this and just assumed I paid a scam and had moved on. But now I have birth certificates of mine that are going to an address I no longer live at and would p[refer complete strangers not having that information of mine.
      I tried to change the delivery through *** but VitalRecords ships in a way that prohibits any delivery changes. I chatted with VitalRecords for help and here is what they told me:
      1. The delay in processing is not their fault - it's New York State that takes so long;
      2. The shipping issue is not their fault because I should have notified them when I moved;
      3. I have to fax a notarized letter with my driver's license and a statement explaining why my address changed and if accepted they will send it again.
      There was NO care about the fact that my personal information is being sent to the wrong person and inf act when I mentioned this they reminded me that it was my fault for not telling them about my new address. I asked why they do not send out notification when they are shipping just to make sure customers know - they reiterated it was my fault for not updating my address with them.
      If I did not have an account with ***, I would have no clue that this delivery was even being attempted. Who knows how many other customers have personal information delivered to someone else because they did not realize the delivery occurred.
      When dealing with sensitive information - this company needs to tighten up their process, care about their customer, accept some responsibility and not just blame everyone else, and own issues.
      Top 5 worst customer service experiences ever and will NEVER NEVER NEVER do business with them!!!

      Daughter needs a new BC for her license she's been waiting months and now the tracking number has expired and still no BC, and she can't contact anyone with the number provided
