  The website looks so scammy that I didn't want to use it to order my birth certificate, but they had an expedited option and my state says to use them, so I believed it was safe. After providing all my personal info including pics of my DL, it was marked as "processing"....then I saw it will take 20-25 BUSINESS DAYS. Okay, not great but I'll survive. Well that came and went with no word from this "company". After messaging them asking what's the deal, I was told they're still processing requests from MARCH. It's OCTOBER now. If it's taking over SIX MONTHS you should warn people before making them pay $70 for an "expedited service". Especially when now my state says I could've just sent them $30 and had it no later than 12 weeks. This company is lying and stealing and state governments needs to stop sending people to them. I hope they get shut down.

  Ordered my birth certificate 08/09/2022 and never received it. I called several times for an update. Finally they said I should place another order with them and they would give me a refund. My refund never showed up so I called back for it and they said they couldn't find my record in the system and I will need to fax them a copy of my receipt and bank statement. What a scam! Forty dollars down the drain. Just go to your counties register of deeds.

  WORST SERVICE THERE IS. BEEN WAITING OVER 6 MONTHS FOR MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT AND GET NOTHING BUT RUN AROUND FROM THESE PEOPLE

  How can it possibly take 6 months to process a piece of paper? I ordered my birth certificate on June 30, 2023, paying $68.00 The company gave itself until January 30, 2024 to process it! When I checked on the progress, there had been no progress whatsoever in 3 months! I need my birth certificate in order to get my passport to travel next summer, so I'm obviously concerned about gettint it in a timely manner.
  Since there had been no activity on my request, I contacted the local town office where I was born. That day I filled out an online request and received my certificate 3 days later, for $10.
  When I reached out to VitalCheck to cancel my order and receive a refund, since no activity had been done on my account, they refused, saying they were currently processing orders from the end of January! On October 1 - really??? How can they possibly be that far behind on processing orders? What a scandal! I recommend you DO NOT USE VITAL CHECK to get your records!!

  We ordered a birth certificate, paid $80, and then were told that it would take 8 months to get the birth certificate, there was no way to speed the process up and there were no refunds. This is not legitimate.

  If you are requesting a first time birth certificate for a newborn DO NOT use this service. The website says it will take the state 6 weeks to process and then be shipped over night via *** Air in Virginia. this is not accurate. Virginia takes 6 weeks to process and only ships **** that will take an additional 3 weeks per **** website. In total I paid $75 for 2 copies of a birth certificate I could have gotten for under $30. They will not refund and now I have to go in person to get a copy before my child's insurance lapses. You are better off financially and process wise to use the states website directly. Vital Check does not even have an accurate way to track to progress where the state does. The employees of vital check are also very rude which I attribute to the fact that the company is terrible and less on the employee.

  A fraudulent and scam company. they charged my debit card without me never hearing of them. They have no phone numbers to call. Called my bank to file a disputed charge and had to cancel my debit card.

  Its been 150 days and I still do not have my order. They just don't care if it takes forever. Try calling and its impossible to contact them. Even when you do, the person who answers cant help. Its a joke super bad service

  This was a total waste of time and money. This company is horrible. I ordered my BC in 7/24/23,as of 9/24/23 still have not received it. I decided to contact the town I was born in and they sent it to me for $10.00. Ordered on 9/1923 and received it on 9/23. I contacted Vital check for a refund and was told they couldn’t do it. I lost $74. PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS!!!!!!!!!!!
