      Used this company to request a copy of my birth certificate as I live in SD and my birth state is NY.
      I ordered the copy in December of 2022, as of 4/20/23 I still have no document.
      I paid for expedited shipping and processing as I required that document to show proof of identity.
      Their customer service line is completely unhelpful, all they do state that they do not have the document and it is still processing.
      There is no date on when the document will be processed or shipped.
      They end the chats mid conversation any time you demand to know where you document is.

      I started an order through vital check but never actually submitted it. I decided to read the reviews prior to submitting my order. Once I read the reviews I decided it would be best to make the four hour drive and pick it up personally instead of taking my chances. They still charged my account a processing fee. I reached out to them via chat when asked if it stated anywhere on the site that you would be charged a processing fee regardless if you actually submitted the order the Heather who was the person I was supposedly chatting with ended the chat immediately. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS SITE. I tried to leave a review on the actual vital check website and was unable to do so but yet they have "all these wonderful testimonials" about their business. I personally think they are scammers and don't see how they can take your money without you submitting an actual request

      I have sent multiple uploads/faxes with the supporting documents, since 04/04/2023. I keep getting told, just wait 48 hours, but nothing ever happens. This is a complete waste of time and energy. I wish I could deal directly with he state that my son was born in to get his birth certificate, but this is who they use, so I have no choice since I no longer live in that state anymore.

      HORRIBLE. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I ordered my marriage certificate over a year ago and called in multiple times during that year and every time I called the told me to be patient cause due to Covid everything was backed up. Now that it’s been over a year they can’t even find my order and are refusing to give me a refund. When I asked who could help me they gave me a discounted number to call. I’ve tried calling the state records office but I cannot reach anyone or even make an appointment to go to the records office. This is a huge issue and no one at this company is offering any real help at all!

      I requested a birth certificate on 11/2/2022 it is now 4/13/2023 and nothing. When I contacted them I was advised they are working requests from the first week of September 2022. Does no one work at this company? The person I contact via chat after attempting to call and waited 30 minutes on hold said they could provide no ETA on my order. This is ridiculous and a terrible company to do business with. Unfortunately it seems to be the only option. If I could leave a negative rating I would. Sad for my son who can’t get a drivers license with the county issued birth certificate we have. They only will accept state issued document.

      Great Experience! Ordered my son's Birth Certificate that i lost on Thursday and received it 3 days later on Monday at my doorsteps! Very easy & quick! Would recommend! (Oklahoma resident)

      This company has the worst! First, I was double-charged for a birth certificate I'd ordered. Then, after 10 business days of stringing me along they canceled my order WITHOUT refunding me, stating that I didn't have enough documentation to complete the order. With no phone number or email address for support, I chalked it up to a bad choice and moved on, ordering a birth certificate through another company. Suddenly, today, 22 days later I see an unexpected charge from VitalChek on my bank statement. It seems that VitalChek reinstated my order, without notifying me, and they're now processing my birth certificate, which I no longer need.

      They sent a birth certificate with wrong spelling and incorrect father's name even though the original was correct but too water damaged to use. I paid a big price for something that still can't be used for school.

      november will be 2 years i've been waiting, they didn't even have my birthday correct. total ripoff, specialist is a joke, disrespectful and not very bright (phillpines are right off the coast of california)

      Me and my brother both ordered our birth certificates from Vitalchek. Once we placed the order, we both got emails saying that we needed to fill out a verification and attach our photo ID to the sheet and upload it to our order for it to be processed. We both added electronic signatures, my brother's paperwork went through almost immediately, mine on the other hand was denied, I got an email saying that I needed to add a handwritten signature. After I did that, I got another email saying that there was an issue with the payment, so I went online and all it says is to call a 1-800 number, I did that but guess what, they do not work Saturdays or Sundays. I'm torn with my review, my brother's certificate was handled fast, no issues, mine was not, it's been a week and I only have one of the certificates in my hand and now I have to wait until Monday to actually speak to someone so I can correct my card information. It would have been much easier if they would just let you change the card information or edit the card.
