      I wish I had read these reviews before ordering my birth certificate through VitalChek. I ordered and paid for expedited delivery on 11/22/22. To date, over 30 days later, I still have not received anything. My credit card was charged on 11/22. I've placed two inquiries through VitalChek, and have received two almost robotic replies, one asking me to verify the shipping address and one saying *** lost my package and that I am due a full refund. That was over two weeks ago, and still nothing. My next email will be to the President/CEO as well as to the County Recorder. Will never use this company again.

      Beware of these scam artists! Do not use, they take your money and do nothing. I needed a birth certificate copy and marriage license. $112.00 late i got nothing. I should be able to take care of this and get my money back. Through the town i can get these for $15.00! Feeling foolish, never again

      I exited out of the page when it asked for my SSN. About 10 days later I found a charge on my CC for a birth certificate that I didn’t approve. Had I known they would need my SSN I would have never tried to get my birth certificate from them.
      When I canceled, they sent an email stating I owed for the processing fee.
      This company is a scam.

      This is nothing more than a scam. Bought a marriage certificate in May of 2022. Got the charge and a confirmation email. Guess what...no certificate...surprise,surprise. I sat on the phone for two hours waiting for a mysterious representative to help me. Of course that did not happen. Almost 80 bucks for nothing! Lesson paid for and learned.

      I ordered my birth certificate on August 20, 2022. I order overnight/rush *** delivery, in which I paid. I have waited well over 60 days and still, no birth certificate. I was told that I could not have my money back until the period of 60 business days..for whatever reason. After that, no more answers. Needed my birth certificate for business reasons MONTHS ago. Vitalchek is a horrible service, despite bring a 'well known' records source.

      I attempted to get my birth certificate through vitalchek. After completing their form they asked for my credit card info. After they had that, a red flag was brought up saying at least one parent had to share my last name (which it did), then they said I would have to go to a notary to verify my ID (which I already uploaded), which would cost me over $100.00 to get a copy of my B.C. I decided not to go through with it. Vitalchek charged my credit card anyways. I contacted vitalchek and they said they couldn't verify me. The county clerk told me that vitalchek doesn't do the verification, that they do it! They also said they have had a lot of problems with vitalchek. Their customer service rep was rude and didn't care about helping.
      Vitalchek is a scam!

      I thought I was ordering a birth certificate. What I got was a short form certificate that looked like it was typed. It is not an official birth certificate. Extremely disappointed!! I cannot use that to obtain a passport.

      Horrendous, I am waiting months now for a birth cert and could not cancel or obtain a refund through their customer service. I was charged $68 and received nothing. This is a scam and obviously supported by our Government service web page as they direct us to go through this absurd system. Do not order through them, go directly to your local offices and you will obtain a copy for $10. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!

      Had the worst experience with this 3rd party website don't understand why I have to go through this but 3 times they changed my information even when you submitted your identity they changed my mailing address then they changed my name to my father's name and when I called customer service to find out why I was denied a refund she was rude and disrespectful she refused to let me speak to a supervisor and I know others who have also had the same problem with this website please let us order from our state and not make us pay a 3rd party now im 109 in this and still have not received a birth certificate.
