1 starI moved from Houston, TX to Columbus, OH. During the move, the movers did not communicate and completed shattered my marble dining room table. Apparently, one of the movers had unscrewed the base from the top and didn’t tell the rest of his team. One of the other team members bumped into it, shattering it all over my floors in my house. This table was almost $1700 and only a year old. They also didn’t removed the chunks of marble that they shattered and just left it in my house. I had to find someone on my own to move this out of my house. I reported everything to Bellhop and they are only offering me $141 for my table that cost me almost $1700. This was complete negligence on their part and disrespectful to offer only $141 for shattering my dining table. I had told the team countless times that it’s my favorite piece in my home and I made design choices around the table and was the one thing they managed to completely destroy while it was still in my house. It never even made it to the truck. The Bellhop team said they go by weight and is why the offer is so low. This should not apply to items that are completely mishandled and the cost to replace the item is significantly higher than their weight system. I am in the process of filing in small claims court in order to recover my funds. I would stay far away from this company.Review fromDarlene T

1 starBait & Switch...
Told them what I was moving, where & when. Told them my previous quotes, they said they can do better. Quoted me $3500 & said I had to give them a non refundable deposit. No problem, I won't be canceling. But when you call me 3 days before the move & ask for photos of the stuff being moved, you then say it will be $6000!! Said the items I told them was put into a computer to generate the size truck needed. 1 told them to figure on a 2br home even though it's a 1 bedroom due to items I have in storage. Since the computer told them I needed a 20' truck that was the price they gave me. The pics had them change their mind & now say I need a 26' truck. They won't refund the $1750 deposit. If they told me it would be $6000 from the start I wouldn't have given them a deposit. It was their mistake. I wouldn't be canceling if it was the price they originally quoted. They said they can still move my things for that price but only what will fit on a 20' truck. That is not how you do business. I'd understand if I was just canceling to cancel but I'm canceling because you now want to charge me double. Now they get $1750 for doing nothing. Oh let me add that they wouldn't take credit card for payment had to be cashapp or venmo. So i couldn't dispute the charge. They know exactly what they are doing. Total SCAM! Good job Bellhop, hope your parents are proud of you. DO NOT use this company to book your move!Review fromMika B

1 starIf I could give no stars, I would. Bellhop moved some of our heavier items (washer/dryer, 2 fridges, a treadmill, etc) in July 2023. The truck was almost 40 minutes late arriving because Bellhop dispatch sent them the wrong address. The team arrived with no tools (blankets, straps, furniture or appliance dollies, etc.) so they were ill equipped to handle a move of any kind. One of their movers dropped our washing machine not once but TWICE. The first time, I was assured the washer was fine/not damaged, the second time, the mover dropped to the ground and rolled around like a scalded dog because he dropped (not placed) the washer on his toe.
Not only did they drop the washer, they dropped a treadmill on hardwood floors, they also dropped/damaged a chest of drawers.
I'm now battling back/forth with their customer service team lead, Jack D***, regarding the broken washer. An initial claim was filed against the other items, which had noticeable damage. That claim was "closed" and Bellhop is refusing to address the issue of the broken washing machine (the entire drum was broken away from the inside of the washer, due to their negligence) because the first claim was closed. We were not aware of any damage to the washer since it was placed in storage, by their movers, with the assurance it had not been damaged in their possession.
Bellhop is unwilling to consider that additional damages were found when the items were retrieved from storage. Their policy that one claim submittal, particularly when their employees assured us the washer was not broken yet it was, is faulty and pathetic customer service.
The alleged settlement was of no monetary value. They took a reduced moving bill, increased the price tag again, then deducted the alleged "settlement" from that number. We never saw a dime to replace the things they damaged.
When you're out additional money because they send ill equipped, incompetent staff who broke your goods, don't say you weren't warned.

1 starI got invoice for two trucks and five guys in the amount of $1700 with a deposit of $175 for five hours for a move of a 4 bedroom house to start at 11/26/2023 around 8:00 am.. On 11/24/2023 got an email from company stating credit card was declined and to call the company as soon as possible due to the move would be cancelled. I called the company and they wanted all the money paid up front before the move date. It was then payed. but I was skeptical. Four guys showed up but only one truck was available that arrived around 8:30 am the morning of the move. The four guys were scheduled for 5 hours only. I had to pay another company to move the rest of my property from the house in on a days notice. Called the company during the time of the first day move and they couldn't do anything to help. Stay away from this company!!Review fromElisa R

5 starsBellhop did a great job with our move from Atlanta to Nashville! It was a one-day move where it took them 1.5 hours to load up the truck (2 guys) and 1.5 hours to unload the truck with 3 guys. They were professional and showed up on time. They even safely packed up some art and wall picture frames for us on the spot. Nothing was damaged.Review fromSamantha H

1 starTerrible company! Steer clear. They randomly cancelled my reservation without talking to me a few days before my move! No one knows what they are doing. A complete scam and when you sign up you will get 1000 sales calls.Review fromSusan B

1 starI reserved Bellhop for an internal move. I reserved 3 movers for 2 hours. They sent 2 movers and it took them 3.5 hours. I called Bellhop twice while they were here to explain the situation and that I didn’t want to be charged the extra hour and a half because they didn’t send enough movers. I was told they would handle it after the movers left. Next day, I receive a bill for 3.5 hours. Called again and said they would have to review the situation and it would be 24 to 48 hours. I asked to speak to the business department and they said they do not transfer calls. I DO NOT recommend.Review fromXa P

1 starDO NOT USE, trusting this company was a BIG MISTAKE, they cancelled at the last minute, didn't had the courtesy to notify us about it. They even had the nerve to say that none of their bookings are guaranteed despite its not specified in their terms and conditions or in the confirmation email they send (which is worthless as they can cancel at any time according to their customer service agents). If you are looking for a reliable company RUN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION.Review fromSam Y

1 starI bought the Groupon good for the $200 worth of services. I went through their site and received a contracted rate of $199per hour x 3 hours for a total of $597. This was to include a truck/driver and 2 movers. They contacted me 2 days prior to the move and told me they needed to reschedule from the morning time slot I booked due to the truck having mechanical issues, but they expected to have it resolved by that afternoon. Then 20 minutes before the 2pm arrival time they called to tell me they got a flat tire and needed to reschedule to another date 3 days later. I fought them on the push and they honored coming the next day, but all of a sudden a $180 was added to my remaining balance. When I called to ask about it I was told it was a "service fee" for the truck. Pressing back I asked why that charge wasn't on the account previously and they said they added it as the final balance due. The move happened and they broke a large frame. I reached out to customer service and they said I needed to file a claim. So I did and now my entire balance has changed to a completely different amount which is $283 more than I already paid. Nothing but shady business practices here and I am still fighting paying it.Review fromCraig N

1 starI used Bellhop for my latest move. I really wish I hadn't. My wife purchased a Groupon for $150, good for $200 worth of services. I went to Bellhops website to see what I needed to do to arrange my move. Bellhop ask's a series of questions about how big you place is, how many rooms, do you have any of these items to move, how far away from the street etc. Using this they give you a price and set you up for how many people and the amount of time it will take to move you. After answering their questions, I was told it would take 4 people with a truck, 5 hours to move me, for about $950. Before I moved, I started getting calls from Bellhop to switch all my services through them. Fine, I suspect that they make some extra money on getting people to switch utilities through them, but I don't know. On Bellhops website the Groupon took us to gave us a 5% off code to utilize for our move. When I tried to book, I could not get the Groupon or the %5 off code to work. I called Bellhop and customer service added both of these to my account. Moving day came and 3 out of 4 people showed up. I was told the other person could not get off work. So those 3 would just have to pick it up. The Driver told me that Bellhop screwed up this move because it should have been a 2-truck move. He said we may have to make a 2nd trip. Well 5 hours turned into 13 and they did not finish. I ended up having to rent my own U-Haul and finishing moving myself. However, Bellhop charged me full price over $2500 for 4 people. I have to complain to get them to lower the amount because I was being charged for someone who was not there. They took off the extra person but nothing else and left me to clean up their mistake myself.
