1 starHow TruGreen get an A+ with 1 star on reviews?I wanted to provide some feedback regarding the lawn service performed at my home last June 20, 2025 and to request clarification on a few points.When I spoke with a representative over the phone prior to the service, I was informed that the technician would be spreading fertilizer throughout the entire lawn and also applying a chemical treatment to target weeds around my home. However, when I arrived home around 4:00 PM and inspected the lawn, I noticed that fertilizer granules were barely visible, and several areas seemed to have none at all. Additionally, it appears that no treatment was applied to the weeds.This was disappointing, as my expectations were based on the process described to me during the initial call. If the weed treatment is scheduled for a future visit, I would appreciate confirmation of ******* help avoid future confusion, I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide a clear timeline or breakdown of the treatment planspecifically outlining what will be applied during each visit and when.Thank you for your time and for addressing my concerns. 1 starTrugreen is full of lies. Please please stay away from Trugreen. They use extremely harsh chemicals on the yard that still doesnt kill the weeds but kills the grass in the yard. They started my service a year and half ago and I started noticing patches of dead grass in the middle of green grass. When I called Trugreen about this problem the manager who doesnt speak English named ****** looked at the photos and diagnosed it as fungal infection and said that if I took a stroll on my street all my neighbors have patches of dead grass just like mine. He said he cannot fix it and Trugreen didnt cause it and closed my issue. Since I continued with my complaints they sent another manager named ***** **** who said that since its November and grass is dormant he cannot tell the dead grass from dormant and that he needs to come back in Spring. After multiple phone reminders he finally came in April 2025. He acknowledged that the dead grass is dead and that he will fix it. He tried to give me some excuse that since it is under tree shade the grass is dead but it was still alive for years before they started service. Anyways now I keep calling and calling but Mr ***** **** has no date to fix my grass. He basically puts it on another Team and its been two additional months since then now. So I have been complaining about the issue since November 2024 and they havent fixed what they promised. They only gave me false promises and delayed the fix. My grass still has weeds and anthills and patches of dead grass. I told him not to continue the service until the issue is fixed. But he said he needs to get more healthy grass to grow to hide the dead areas. That technique surely hasnt worked. He said he wasnt going to charge those visits. But I was always charged and I always had to call back. Mr ***** **** never followed up about the charges I was stuck with. Anyways Please dont trust Trugreen for your lawn and dont trust ***** **** if he says he will resolve your complaint.Review fromDerrick W

1 starI just attempted to start a new service with TruGreen. I went online and received a quote for my property. The online quote for their lawncare pro service was roughly $853. After discussing with my wife, I decided to call to set up the service and ask some additional questions about their pest control service. When I spoke with a lady, had my questions answered, and provided my address to set up the lawncare pro service, I was given an over the phone price of $1136. When I brought up the significant difference with the online quote, the reasoning I was given was "Maybe IT issues". I then went into their system while I remained on the phone and re-entered the information again and received the same quoted price. I was even able to confirm purchase of that service and could have entered payment information based on that price if I wanted to. I read off the quote that I was staring at on my computer screen to the woman I was speaking with. I was then advised that she made some changes and that the price would be $900+ (still higher than the online quote that I could purchase). I told her that I was no longer interested in their services given the unexplainable discrepancies in pricing and hung up the phone. Obviously this is only my experience but I'd be interested to know if this was a common experience among people. Quoting numerous different prices for the same job feels illegal.Review fromAron W

I have had nothing but trouble with this company. The first time they did my service they showed up at 6am and woke me up (I work very late hours). I called corporate and asked that nobody show up before 8am so I can be up and unlock my back gate. They assured me they would make a note. The next two times they showed up much later and there were no problems. Today, however, they arrived at 7:15am and made no attempt to contact me (didnt even ring the Ring doorbell which I checked to make sure was working) so only half my yard got done since I do not unlock my back gate before leaving for work at 8am. Corporate isnt even open before 8am so I couldnt even call and speak to anyone about it once I awoke to the truck rumbling away! I am furious. I pay $95 per treatment and only half my yard got done because they arrive at UNGODLY hours, even after you ask them not to! Not to mention that I sent a check 4 weeks ago and they still have yet to cash it and are holding my account hostage now, which is lovely. And to top it all off: I still have weeds and grubs. Horrible. Cant wait to cancel.TruGreen

None of the phone numbers on file at BBB connect to local ********* office. All numbers go to the call centers. The call centers (like the closest one in *******************) will not contact the local ********* office either. Also, the call center "customer service representatives" will not contact their supervisors or team managers if a customer has an unresolved problem. So, you can complain to a person or on their website but not to anyone who can help resolve any problem.TruGreen

I paid a significant amount of money $400 plus to have a service from TruGreen to take care of my yard overseed it aerate it and they promised me it was a guarantee. Their promises are baseless because my front yard is abysmal after more than 30 days of their treatment. I cannot believe a company can talk the way they do and make promises but absolutely fail expectations. This is a second time in 15 years. I've tried TruGreen and for the second time absolutely a disappointment.TruGreen

For the past two years I have been paying TruGreen ************* to aerate, seed and spray (fertilize & weed control) my lawn. I am so disappointed and angry at the way it looks. I had repeatedly asked for the seeding to be Bermuda grass but was told that they only had fescue. Now my yard has bare patches where no grass is growing. Other areas appear to be a 'seed-salad' of anything goes variety. I have used a plant identifier app that indicates I have Crab Grass, Fescue, Kentucky Blue Grass and Zoysia. I have notified them that I do not wish to continue using them and am wondering if I have any recourse to recoup the money I was out over this time. My lawn is green but upon close examination, one can tell that it is not a true quality lawn. Is this something I can execute in Small Claims Court? DO NOT USE TRUGREENTruGreen

I made the mistake of providing TruGreen with my information via an online inquiry. I expected a call or two, sure, and heard out a sales person multiple times. We made the decision to move forward with a different company and told TruGreen so and to please no longer call. A month later, today (06/10/2025), an unmarked car drives up to my home, and an employee wearing a TruGreen shirt comes to our door. Our front door has a clear 'no solicitor' sign displayed but I answered because the employee knew I could see him through the window. I said "we're not interested" to which he continued his sales pitch through offering "not even for 40% off?" and I had to essentially close the door on him to get him to leave. He did not stay in the neighborhood, instead drove off. It's clear they keep addresses on file and send **** out to harass home owners. Horrible sales tactic, invasive and frankly desperate.TruGreen

My grass is worse than when I started using their service 10 months ago. They say they will have your grass green and healthy. Well, they don't treat "that weed", they don't treat "that grass". They recommend you spend more money. If it's not one excuse it's another. Now I have chinch bug even when they are treating the lawn. When you call you can't speak to a supervisor. They will call you back in 3 days. My lawn tech said he was going to leave a not to his supervisor and he will call me...That was a week ago. ******** product. Horrible service. Thousands down the drain. Don't use Trugreen! Save your money and patience.TruGreen

I just paid the additional money as I was getting calls hourly from TruGreen. They would never explain to me the reason for bills. STAY AWAY!!!
