True Green screwed up my lawn and wouldnt stand behind their promise of a green weed free lawn. I asked my area manager to come out and check out my lawn at the end of the season and he admitted that it looked terrible. He also admitted that his Technician was caught by another customer just pulling up into their drive way, spending a few minutes in their truck and then just pulling away and never doing the application. Since this is a vacation home I was never there to witness this action, but the manager confirmed this was happening. I wasted over $900 dollars that year and they would not compensate me for this. I was told the best they could was to offer me a 15% discount the following year. What a slap in the face! DO NOT USE TRUE GREEN!!!!! They are scammers. They just sent me a text wanting to know if I wanted a quote for this year. WHAT NERVE!TruGreen

Ive been more than patient and waiting for Trugreen to make things right before completely canceling. They have completely failed me instead. A manager was supposed to come out to my property on two occasions to speak with me about my lawn and what it needs. The first occasion I called to simply cancel. The service they are doing isnt good for my lawn and has been going downhill with every service. She explained that they would send out a manager to assess the lawn and make things right. Instead, they sent out a regular tech who just did the service and left. Didnt even ring the doorbell to let me know they would do the service. I called Trugreen and informed them. They apologized. Refunded the service. And again said a manager would reach out. They did. I asked for a refund and to cancel service. Manager told me to give the lawn 2 weeks and see if it has improved. 2 weeks has gone by and it hasnt. In fact once again the grass is dying and my brown spots grow in size. I called Trugreen again. She told me a manager would be out next day and I will receive a call by end of business day with the time they would arrive for tomorrow. No call. Next day I call at 9:30am. Would like to know what time as I dont want to wait around all day and find out they arent coming. She has no way to look it up. That is on management end. I asked for refund and cancel. She explains that if someone is coming let them make it right. She took my phone and email and said a manager will call you soon. Every service note says Im doing everything right. Or blames the season for the grass. Never anything about how I could make it better. Im never home when they arrive also. I do have cameras though and in one instance I came home while they were doing the work. They never did the whole yard!!! I nonchalantly asked if he had sprayed the back yard and he said yes. My camera said otherwise. I called Trugreen and a tech had to come back out. Please either cancel/refund or fix!TruGreen

Unethical company. Last year I hired TruGreen to do weed control and fertilization for the summer season. I was not happy with the service. They call frequently to ****** products. When I hired them I thought I was getting more services than I actually received. I feel that I was intentionally misled. Theirk basic service is very expensive and I have a small yard. Anyway, last year when one of their sales people called, I informed him that I would not renew for the 2025 season. Later in the season I got some kind of paper work in regard to services and I sent the paper work back with a note to cancel services as I no longer wanted to do business with TruGreen. Today, 3/12/25, TruGreen fertilized my yard without me knowing it. No notice, no phone call, etc. I called them again, telling them I canceled their services for 2025 and I won't pay for their services for today. The problem is more complex in that I already hired another company for this season and they are scheduled to fertilize this month, too. TruGreen provided a case number in case of further problems; when I asked for a confirmation email of cancelation I was told that he would have to get permission from his supervisor. WHAT??? So far I have not received an email. I have to make a guess that service is coming out of their ****************** The receipt of service that was printed and left in my door is so faded out that I cannot read most of it.TruGreen

This is no more acceptable to me than it is to you. Unfortunately, your request to cancel was not noted in our system. We understand why it is upsetting if you received a service that you werent expecting, and it is never our intent to provide unauthorized services to a customer. We have processed the refund for the service completed on 3/12/25. Please allow 7-10 business to be in receipt of the refund and let us know if there is anything else we can do for you in the meantime. I have also added your contact information to our internal Do Not Contact portal. Please allow 30 days for all communications to stop.

What a terrible experience. Believe everything you've read and run from these folks.I called yesterday looking to purchase their service for my yard. The salesperson was high pressure, and I decided to take some time to think about it. I had made up my mind to give them a try - until today. Between 8 AM and 3 PM, their sales team called EIGHT (8) TIMES - each with a "better" deal than the last. I asked them to stop calling so many times, but it continued.The last call I got was from ******* ******, their "South Division Sales Lader." When he called, he asked how I was. I said "honestly I am annoyed because this is the eighth call I have had from TruGreen today." He responded by saying "well I am annoyed that you wasted our time by asking about our services if you didn't plan to buy." WHO IN THE ***** SAYS THAT????I asked to speak to his supervisor, and ******* said he didn't have one. He then yelled at me and hung up. What a terrible, terrible company. Believe everything that has been said about them and RUN!TruGreen

Was a customer for 17 years and was on autopay. Apparently they stopped using the autopay. So they called about payment. I asked for a copy of the invoices and they never sent them. 2 weeks later ive been turned into collections. Still havent received these invoices. They record their calls so they should have this documented. People sont appreciate large companies s******* with their credit due to no fault of their own. Quite frankly, they shouldnt be allowed to do thisTruGreen

TruGreen Customer since *************************** sells a service that they DO NOT provide. It's in the name...GREEN but my yard looked better when my teenage was doing it himself with products easily purchased at HD. Worse than not doing what they said, it's taken months to cancel their service. I couldn't even remove my cc info from my account. I finally had to threaten to file a fraud suit with my cc company for them to cancel the account. Every time I call they say it's canceled and then they show up again and treat again while I'm at work. I gave them 2 years to get it right and it looked worse every year. Hire them at your own risk.TruGreen

All sales talk, no service. A terrible experience. They were hired for a duplex. The first few applications seemed ok. Then they treated one side only. They stood me up for 3 make-up appts in a row, then didn't call when they were on their way, which was written on the order. Again, only treated 1 side. Fired them.Received another sales call Jan 2025. Promises, promises, promises, so I was going to give them another try. Took my cc info and said the charge was $574 for the season. I said absolutely not. I will pay per application. My cc was charged anyway. I called salesman and left message about charge. He called back and left a message that I clicked on "prepay", but they will correct it. My only contact was on the phone, so there was no way for me to "click" on anything. I called corporate to have the charge removed. Was told it takes 3-4 days for credits to be processed. What? Charges are processed as soon as they finish typing in your cc info. Meanwhile, the offending Wheat Ridge, CO branch hasn't even tried to contact me.TruGreen

I have been a customer of **********************/********************** since 1999. I have never filed a complaint until today. My lawn was to be serviced today. As I watched the tech, he never fertilized my front or back lawns. I saw him fertilizing my neighbor's front lawn when I went to pick up my mail. I asked him if he was going to fertilize my lawn. He replied yes. When I saw him return to his truck and pick up a lawn sign that he placed on my front lawn indicating that he had completed his job, and he was getting ready to leave, I went to the front door; got his attention and asked him about treating my lawn. He said he did treat the front and had no work order to do the back. He did not do the front lawn. He did do my neighbor's front lawn. He left no notice on my front door of the work he had performed as is the usual custom of TruGreen. I called both the local office in ******* and the national office and requested to speak to a manager or supervision. At 2:20pm est no manager or supervision was available. At this point, I just want the money I paid for a year worth of service returned...$1063.28. My service includes both the front and back lawns, along with the mosquito shield.TruGreen

Does not deserve a star. They have you sign a contract then charge you double for the job. They also do treatments without permission and expect you to pay for it. When you dispute the payment, they hound you and send you to a collection agency. Beware!TruGreen
