DG used to be awesome! No more awesome! Every store I have been in the last year is horrible! They have one person in the whole store, which is dangerous for that employee, shelves are half empty and there is stock sitting everywhere that needs to be put out. No wonder no one wants to work for them. Maybe they should stop opening more and more stores and concentrate on keeping the stores stocked and cleaned! I hardly ever go in DG anymore because when I do, I am very disappointed and aggravated. The employees aren’t the problem, it’s the corporate level that’s the problem obviously…I used to choose DG over ******* everyday of the week but now I choose the lesser of two evils which is ******* unfortunately. I shop locally owned as much as possible!Dollar General

This is for the CHEWELAH, WA location.
Beware Chewelah! This is Worst place ever and ran by the rudest and meanest person you could ever meet. CARLY is the worst person in the entire work. She was the rudest person I have ever met. I came in for some cake pans and barely even scooted this metal rack that was in my way. Carly came around the corner and I had told her that I slightly moved it so I could get what I needed. She rudely replied back that I wasn’t allowed to move it. And I said ok well I barely moved it over do I could get what I needed. She said next time ask one of us and I was like well no one was around. She didn’t like that response and was extremely rude and then decided to kick me out of the store. All because I moved a metal cart one foot out of my way. The community is definitely right about this place. I don’t see it lasting long, especially since the roof is still leaking and has been leaking since the day they opened. The employees there have continually told me how crappy of products they get and that other dollar generals get way better stuff. They told me that Carly only orders the cheap stuff so they can make the most money. That’s why you find better and nicer stuff at other dollar generals. I will be reporting this business to corporate as well as posting my review on the BBB website. Posting her pic below so you know who to stray away from!! Of all the entitled people I have ran into in our tiny town, Carly is by far the WORST! You can see it on her face. *** all day long! lolDollar General

Disappointed by Cashier Lisa's attitude when I brought to her attention what seemed to be a pricing error on True Living Everyday 10" plates. The shelf label advertised 94 plates for $6.95. I pointed out that there were only 84 plates in the package. She did a price check that showed the 84 pack of plates as $7.25. After some adjustments, she rang them as $6.95. In my opinion, the point of the number of plates being less than advertised, was still not addressed. The line behind me was growing (3-4 customers). I told her I would go ahead and pay to keep the people behind me from having to wait. I let her know I still wanted to talk to someone else about it. She called her manager (by name) to assist. He pretty much said there was nothing else he could do about it. I accepted his response. I asked her for her name. She responded with a slight neck roll and a blank stare. She didn't give her name until the manager said, "She asked you for your name, Lisa." She acknowledged him but acted like she didn't hear me or didn't know I has already asked.
My chief complaint is that the fewer plates (84 /$7.25) cost more than the advertised amount (94/$6.95).Dollar General

1 starStore-23346 is Dollar General Market. Anyway in this week ad ***** products 3/15 or 3/12 with digital coupon. I had the coupon saved to my phone associated with Dollar Store App. I went there yesterday to get the *****. Only when I go check out it don't work. So I end up having to pay $15.00 for ***** which I wouldn't even came if I knew it wouldn't work. Probably not much internet there I know but should have Wifi what we have. And it was the manager of the store that checked us out. He didn't even offer a discount or try to find one. Bad advertising and customer service.Review fromTamara S

I was a customer at the Dollar general store market last Thursday September the 5th and was accused of shoplifting prior to that date and arrested the police was called and the police could not find any reports backing up the accusations made by the manager there I filed a complaint on 9/5/2024 and still haven't heard from anyone.Dollar General

1 starThe store coupons seldom work. The employees blame the computer system. The issue has been going on for over a year. Sometimes the manager manually overrides the price to give the discount but other employees say there is nothing they can do. I have been charged a lot more than I should have paid over the last year and other people in the community also complain. I am 69 years old. I am very perplexed by your store manager at your Atlee rd Mechanicsville VA location.
She has a beautiful smile, but she is adamant about not having to have any type of "conversation" with me. We have had several loud altercations and to me this is very sad. She has become a little friendlier, removed her ear phone and will greet me sometimes.
To the district manager, I guess you do not have to honor your 24 hour return call, because you have not left me any type of message.
You young people really no nothing about customer service and this is a real shame.Dollar General

I went to dollar general and I bought some ****** coffee and was charged $10.95. It was on sale for $6.95. I went to get my $4.00 refund and the manager refuse to give it to me. The manager was rude and loud talking to me!Dollar General

Bad place should be closed down ghetto never has no food or food spoiled jas the manager always outside on her phone something has to be done they don't even let you do ur digital coupons things are everywhere when u come in and they never have anything I have to drive far to Belleville to get to a dollar gen that actually does the right things it's crazy should be shut down unprofessional I guess cause of the location but that's not right maybe the manager er needs a break she always on her phone I can take picture needs to be shut down old food the bagels I got for my kids were green no stars!!Dollar General
