      Everything was fine for my business until I needed to change a to a different bank account. I had to submit an 8 page form to change my deposit account due to "compliance" requirements. I also have International Bancard and the same process too literally 5 minutes. I had to submit and resubmit a form that they state they could not verify my business information on my form but couldn't tell me "due to fraud prevention" where the error was. I submitted that form as it is state on my articles of business formation and what the IRS has but they still would not accept the form. I called them 3 times and got guidance, however they still would not grant me permission to change my deposit account. The federal government has the correct information, the State of Texas has the correct information for my business but when I put that information on the change form, they denied it the change but they cannot tell where the error is due to fraud protection. I submitted a voided check with the business information on it, I corrected the form 3 times, but they still denied me changing my deposit account. I am the business owner and have 100% ownership of the PLLC, but they still denied. I can't do anything else to prove I am who I am so I opted to terminate services with Elavon and will keep everything with Bancard despite higher processing fees. Fraud protection is understandable, but you can't have a process so rigid that it prevents your customers doing business on their own account.

      This place is a freaking joke. Make sure any hotel you book with does not use them for their merchant services. They will try to steal your deposit and hold it for 2 whole weeks.

      The worst merchant service. They should be banned by officials. I cancel the service and fter that they still charging for 2 months. And when i asked them about it, they told me that i didnt send them the cancellation request. I sent them email proof of cancellation but still they are not helping. They are a big fraud and scam company.

      I was approached through the payroll company Paychex about their merchant services in March 2023. After some contemplation, we decided to move forward but with one very specific requisite - that they are able to process payments on an EFT every 4 weeks as is our billing cycle. When I was assured that this criteria could be met, I proceeded with the merchant applications. On April 13th I learned during my onboarding session with Elavon that it CANNOT process EFT payments every 4 weeks. I was greatly disappointed but seeing as how it didn't disrupt my business in any way as of yet I was relived to have at least learned this early on. Now, for the issue at hand: I was charged for the two credit card processing machines that I cannot use due to their providing me with inaccurate information. I asked multiple times where I could return the machines as they were unused with the exception of my own personal training. They hadn't even had a CC swiped on them. I was told after nearly 3 weeks of asking for my accounts to be cancelled (all the while receiving emails from them threatening to cancel my services for non use to which I was begging them yes PLEASE! I have been asking!) that Elavon will not accept a returned terminal. So I have 2 unused terminals, that I paid for but cannot use due to their own incompetence, and I am supposed to do what with them? I would like to be able to send these back and be refunded what I paid. Let me note that I have never been contacted directly at Elavon, only through Paychex and without even an apology for the inconvenience. Absolutely horrendous customer service.

      We returned to Elavon a wireless terminal in February, 2020. Since we had other wireless terminals, only in March, 2023 we discovered that Elavon kept charging us $22 every month. That makes it 22*37=$817 in un-authorized charges.
      I had long talks with Elavon over the phone. Cases C20994872 and C20460516. First, they promised to investigate. In the last conversation Elavon flatly refused to return un-authorised payments without giving any reason.
      This is a pattern of dishonest behavior. Check their other reviews on this site or Google reviews.

      Closed our account (after a decade of being a good customer) and Elavon continued to fraudulently charge monthly merchant fees totaling $100. It has taken a year and hours of wasted time in phone calls with customer service agents lying about the refund being processed. On the last phone call I told them that the next call would be from a lawyer. Just this morning (2 weeks later) I received an email saying the refund is pending. If it doesn't go through there will be legal action, this is underhanded and ridiculous.

      Elavon refused to refund a fee they charged to my account that they failed to close. I closed the account through my rep in July of 2022 and there has been no activity with them since then. They claim it is a “valid charge” as the account is listed as “open” albeit through their negligence. They proceeded to charge me a “merchant fee” per their new procedures that I was never informed of. When I make a mistake with a client’s order, either their fault or mine, I immediately make a refund. Elavon refused to refund the charge even though there had been no activity on the account for almost a year! The Elavon product is difficult to use and not user friendly. The manager I spoke with, Dan, reminded me of the movie “The Rainmaker” where it’s the company’s policy to deny all claims, regardless of legitimacy.

      This business won't stop charging me monthly even though I do not use the service. I am going to have to close my bank account. This is the most criminal, unprofessional business I habe ever encountered. The highly unprofessional staff which sounds like guys in a basement have easy access to your financial information and no answers for questions about missing money and will not return phone calls. Scam. Stay away

      Elavon is perfect as long as you never need any help for changing your account number. If you do first off plan on one month or longer and not the lies told saying 3-5 days that turned into a game.
      NOTE: they will ask you over and over to fill out one more time the 9 page application that cannot be opened on apple products.
      After you turn it in you wait and wait then one day you call and ask for me sept 9th step one
      Cant open … wait for monday and we get new copy we fill it out with staff… and sept 14th they verify its there all 9 pages… for only one bank change.. number … and then sept 16th they said fill it out one more time we said why ? So we did.. then sept 18th now at this point im thinking ok i see why they say that and in my case now they claim i sent it sept 20th I(lie) and worse they will claim its 3-5 buisness days yet all of the reviews say the same story … that even when it is 3-5 they always end on a weekend making more like 8 days from the last application page …
      I would not use them as they are not honest or good period.. John

      Elavon has not just hold but taken my money from my bank account 5,000 was missing from my bank account. I have been thrown from one business to another trying to solve this issue. NRS told me to call Elavon and Elavon asked me to file a complaint against Visa and Visa told me to file a complaint again elavon and once again elavon told me to contact Bank of America and then file a complaint again Visa. I have already filed a complaint against NRS, Elavon, and Visa. The outcome is the same (we are unable to solve this problem please contact the department of consumer affairs). Even after providing proof to elavon telling them I have been in complainace with the visa code rules, the same answer ( Visa will not budge on the 5,000 dollars). Not even BBB was able to help me. Watch out for this company.
