1 starCracker Barrel may very well have the worst customer relations I’ve have ever seen.
I reached out to them about a ridiculous dining experience that happened at one of their stores and Cross lanes, West Virginia on March 31st
Today is May 8th and after leaving several phone messages and emails the Cracker Barrel team in TN won’t take or return a phone call. They did send me an email stating that someone would call in 7 to 14 business days. We are way past that point now. I don’t foresee anyone calling.
The corporate office experience is so bad I forgot to mention the bad experience at the store. 2 1/2 hours we were at the store, trying to get our food. They kept coming back to us saying that they ran out of different items that we have already ordered for party of 8.
I watched people eating the food that I ordered 40 minutes before they even arrived and the waiter would come back to us and say that they ran out and would we like to order something else. LOL, there were multiple issues and we were not happy, I won’t list all the issues but I did in an email to Cracker Barrel that fell on deaf ears were no one cares or is held accountable…Review fromDorothy B

1 starWent to Cracker Barrel in Alcoa today, one of my favorite places to eat. Seated quickly, but Hostess walks off without a word. We wait for almost 15minutes. We noticed other customers that came in after us were getting their drinks & we still had no drinks or even been acknowledged. So my husband went to the front Hostess to let her know. She came back to our table & pointed out who our server was & said just grab him when he comes by. Well he never come by, he was talking to another couple, they were showing him pictures on their phone. So after a good 5 more minutes we got up & left. I told the Hostess as we went by that we had never even been acknowledged & we’re leaving. Now if they were busy I could understand. But they were not really busy.Review fromAnnie R

1 starOn March 18, 2024, I Ordered $50.00 of food for pick up. Waited in the designated parking spot that they provide and waited for 30 min. Sent them another message that we were still waiting in the pickup spots. There were no other vehicles in the pickup spots. 45 min goes by and they still don’t come out. My husband called and they said “oh yeah, we’re out of one of the items you ordered. Sorry.” He said to cancel the order and refund the money because the food was already cold and they only had part of the order but never bothered to call us and let us know that part of the order couldn’t be filled. Instead, we sat and waited 45 min after the original pickup time. I contacted customer support because the money was never refunded. I got a reply asking for my order number and information. I have provided it to them 3 times. No money back. The company will not respond back and I wasted $50 on bad customer service. I will not be going back there again.Review fromTimothy H

1 starThe cracker barrel located at 1440 Handlir Dr, Bel Air, MD 21015 is absolutely awful when it comes to accurately fulfilling a take out order, and having the appropriate level of customer service/satisfaction, and follow up. Our family placed a large take out order ( for 5) on 03/10/24. That order was only partially filled, and we didn't notice until we arrived at home. We immediately notified the manager, and were told to return to retrieve the missing items. However, we opted to contact CB corporate, as the store is roughly a 35 minute drive away. CB guest relations responded on 03/10/24, and provided us with a digital coupon for 1 free desert. We took offense to that being an acceptable solution. So we decided to give CB another opportunity on 03/11/24, we placed another online order to pick up, and by the way, both instances we gave them a $5 tip online. Upon arriving at the store, our order was short again! We immediately shared our grievance with the manager, who was very casual and made us feel she didn't value our business. so we requested she remove the $5 tip from the bill, while we waited for our order. We sent a follow up email to guest services, which they responded on 03/12/24 stating our concern has been trasferred to the correct department. As of 04/09/24, we have not received a response from CB corporate, guest services, or the manager. This is how they treat U.S. Veterans who wanted to support a local business. This is absolutely unacceptable and they just don't care!Review fromShalona E

1 starOn March 3 ,2024 me and my family went to the Cracker Barrel in Nashville Tn on Sidco Dr. We arrived around 9 am and was placed on a waiting list . Another family arrived around 5-10 min after us and was seated before us. I asked why where they seated before us and they didn't have an answer. We were seated 5-10 minutes later. We were giving two servers , one came and took our orders and the other brought out our drinks . After 45 minutes I asked one of the severs how much longer it will be , she stated 15 minutes . while we where waiting we notice several people that came 15-30 minutes after we did eating . Another 20 minutes passed my husband got up to see what was going on. One of the servers came back and I asked her have they even started cooking our food. She went to go check, at that point I went to see if my husband had any information as to what was going on. Server came out and said they haven't even started cooking our food. We asked for manager. A man came out we explained what happened and he stated he just got here. I was absolutely shocked at first disappointed . Not one person said they was sorry ,not our two server , nobody . How do I explain this to our 5 daughters , how ? Our 7 year old started crying in the car. Why , we have always treated people with respect even the one's that don't deserve it. We teach our children to be respectful. I wish you could pull up the video feed and see how we where treated . Your establishment treated our family like nothing. WhyReview fromToni O

1 starOn 02/18/2024 our family went to Cracker Barrel in Chattanooga TN for lunch. Upon arriving we were seated on the further side of the restaurant. As we sat down and started to look around and realized we were seated in the area for African Americans. I myself am Caucasian, my daughter is bi-racial, my Fiancé and my daughters boyfriend are African American. Our waitress also African American then comes to the table introducing herself and asked us what we would like to drink. After bringing our drinks back she began to take our order my daughter first, myself second, my daughters boyfriend and my Fiancé (in this order). After 7 min of waiting she returns to tell us she had been "cut" and a different waitress would be taking over our table. 10 min later the food for my daughter, her boyfriend and my fiancé was brought to the table, we all looked confused. The waitress asked if there was anything else we needed, I asked where my food was. She told me the other waitress didn't put in an order for me mind you I was the second person to order. I gave her my order and waited another 15 min for my food all the while everyone else at the table their food was cold by the time I got mine. I asked to speak to a manager, he came to our table about 10 min later. I gave him my complaint all the while the first waitress was still working and had not been "cut". Per the manager "well it looks like she was able to bring your food and they have theirs. I will talk to the first waitress because she is still here, can I help you with anything else?" We were brought our bill we paid in full and left. Everyone talks so good about Cracker Barrel this was my first time ever. Worst experience ever. I will never eat at another one again. They deserve any starsReview fromChristian J

I went in there for dinner on a sat night back in November of 2023. It was the worse service. We sat there for over 20 mins and no one came to our table. Another waitress in a different section had to track down on waitress. The waitress never said sorry about the wait and acted like it was no big deal. The table next to us was seated 20 mins after us and she took their order first. She never refilled our drinks and we ask for the free bread she just threw 2 pieces on a plate and threw in the table like we were a big inconvenience. Dint want to play this card but I felt this was racial profile. The other thing the corp office will not call me back. I sent a email 3 times a week for the last 2 moths. When you call it won’t let you talk to anyone it just says email us please. They say there a live agent but that never works either. The cracker barell in Edmond , ok is the pathiehic.Joshua M.

1 starI went to the Cracker Barrel in Smyrna TN today to pick up my holiday meal. I ordered the meal online and chose the in store pick up because I was going to get a to go order also. So me and my daughter go in and order our meals to go and waited about 10 minutes before asking to get the holiday meal pick up. The manager then told us that we could not pick up the meal inside and we had to drive around to the back of the building. I told him I chose the pick up inside option online and all he kept saying is I don't know anything about that. So I asked him why is it an option when it really is not. He said that he did not know or care and if I wanted my meal I had to drive around back and I if did not he did not care. I asked him for his name and he just walked off almost running over my five year old daughter. I was ****** but we waited on our to go order for over 30 minutes. The two people that walked in right in front of us went in sat down ate and left while we waited on a kids chicken stirps with fry meal and a meatloaf meal. I asked to see the manager again so I could tell him about the wait and the cashier called and she told me he said he was not coming.
