Bought our home maybe 7 mo ths ago and we have had issue after issue and the north charleston office where we got our home has not been so great on fixing the issues.. they have sent worthless contractors along with salesman to do repairs and nothing is being resolved on top of more serious issues coming up almost weekly..not sure what to do from here as I was told not long ago my warranty was almost up but nothing has been fixed that I've been reporting on top of more issues I'm noticing tonight as I got home from work

Hi Brian, thank you for reaching out. Our Warranty Tech was there and completed every service item requested prior to the warranty expiring, except for the light fixture (which he has ordered.)
Our Service Tech will replace the light fixture as soon as possible. He was out sick yesterday and will be catching up on warranty items this week and next week. Our retailer has placed the request on his desk to schedule when he gets off of the job site today.
We recommended to turn any remaining items in with your Home Warranty.

I just bought my home in September, 2022, after moving in,
      On Thanksgiving day,
I noticed the living room vinyl floor and my sons bedroom floor were bad,
      Has tears,
Wavy vinyl floor that we trip over,
Not to mention my son is disabled with a movement disable and the nails
Coming up in his bedroom makes him trip and fall.
Every window and door in the home is off square,
They ordered all new ones and came
      Out to replace
One of the windows and quit,
Because the hole for the window is an inch off square and they can’t set it right.
They said they would bring a team of professionals out the following Monday and no one showed.
      My a/c
      Has never worked right,
The only way it will run is if I take the filter
      Out,
      They came out and replaced
The coils and said that would fix it,
But it didn’t and I keep calling them to tell them it freezes up every time I put a filter in it, and they ignore me.
They have quit taking my calls.
I even spoke to the general manager and he said he would get everything fixed right away. That had been over a month ago and I have not heard anything! They ignore my calls and I feel they are just waiting for the warranty to run out so they don’t have to fix anything. The floors are dangerous for my son because of his movement disorder. I need this fixed now!! I feel this home is a lemon and needs replaced!

Clayton mobile home charged us setup fees, when grand oaks at liberty Hill tx pays for the setup
Set cost us 11,258 more for the mobile home.. that money goes towards the sales man commission
Buyer beware call the park and ask questions
Tell the sales he can not charge you for setup that you talked to the park
      Get it writing

The entire process was stressful. Salesman had to check with other employees concerning answers and resolution to our questions and concerns. Not one employee had the same answer to any questions. Numerous delays and procrastinating dates The store withheld our appliances warranty cards and claimed they would file them. I have inquired several times to obtain proof and still waiting. A service technician damaged our roof and caused water leaking into the home. We declined to have the same service technician repair the shingles/leaking roof and hired an independent roofer per recommendation from our homeowners insurance adjuster .This home is advertised built with half inch sheetrock which in reality is quarter inch sheetrock and unable to hold any products with weight i.e. clocks, towel bars, mirrors etc. Land preparations included in sales price was not completed. Rain water flowing under the home. Failed the final inspection due to this and still waiting for completion. Communication issues. False commitments from sales/management. I will not recommend this store or product.

Mr. *******, thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. We're sorry to hear about your concerns. We strive to provide world-class customer service, and this is why our home consultant checked with the general manager on questions to ensure we could accommodate as many of the home building requests as possible. This is our standard process to ensure our customers receives accurate and timely information. Both the retail location and the factory were upfront about what was available and what was no longer available, and this was clearly communicated to the customer. Unexpected delays in the setup process may occur with any home project. This build was delayed by utilities and item shortages, which again was communicated by our home consultant. The retail location did not withhold appliance warranty cards. Once we determined the warranty cards were not in the home packet, we immediately filled in warranty cards with the correct information, which were received by the customer. Regarding the roof concern, our warranty technician was sent to repair the issues. The customer notified us two days later that water was coming in as a result of the bad storm the previous night. We were happy to have the technician back out for immediate repair, in which the customer declined.
To summarize, we have upheld our commitment in the sales agreement, and have gone above and beyond to ensure our customer are taken care of.

Everything in this response is false and can be proven falsified by eyewitness' and photographs. As of date 8/28/23, the Customer has not been provided major appliance's warranty information/manufacturer contact information. There is an email from the Jackson store warranty employee agreeing to provide the customer such warranty information which has yet to be achieved. The service technician damaged the roof/shingles/boot while connecting the vented range hood. The water leakage was not caused by a rain storm. A rain storm made the damage visible to which the customer had inspected by the homeowners insurance adjuster to which the customer had repaired independently. No one would agree to accept a service technician to repair property damage caused by the same service technician.
Provide this customer with the appliances warranty that you removed from the customers home packet in the customers presence.

My wife and I started the process of purchasing a new home in march. Clayton of Rogersville TN. told us to pay a $1000 dollar deposit to have our home ordered and the manufacturing process would start! well after a month the home had still not been put in the system for order, so finally the home was put in production! We was told it would be finished and set and we should be able to be moved in by the end of June. well here we are and it is the middle of August and we are still not in our home. during this time we went ahead and sold our home thinking we would be in the new one by now but rather we are living in my families basement!!! Rogersville TN. Clayton homes is a piss poor managed dealer and their contractors are lazy as hell!!

John, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with Clayton Homes. We’re sorry to hear of your frustrations and would like all our customers to have a positive buying experience. The retail location you are working with has been in constant communication on the timeline of this building and setup process, and outside factors including temporary living and decision on the site location are out of our control when it comes to pushing the timeline. The contractors are working to get the site prepped for the home and will backfill later in the week once the block has cured.

Our 2023 Tru model Clayton Built Home is an ongoing nightmare!
The Belton Tx factory representatives are just awful. It will 10 months in September that we have been dealing with roof leaks, major structural issues, etc. Joey C. Has diminished each warranty repair item. He refuses to address anything. This house is so bad my son and I fell through the bathroom floor. Our experience with Clayton and the home center is they don't take any issues seriously. No one should have gave to hire a home inspector for their brand new home. Clayton forced us to. Now Joey C is forcing us to hire an attorney to give him a demand letter to fix the house or replace it. There is close to 120 items now for a state level verification inspection that needs addressed. Clayton Built said they are not going to do anything until this inspection. Hole in the floor that swallowed two people and were hurt, roof that needs replaced because it wasn't installed properly and leaks when it rains. 16 structural panels not attached on the outside. The floor joists not properly bolted to the metal frame. Clayton Built does not care about there customers or their homes

I contacted Clayton Homes Ocala when I wanted to purchase a home to put on property I was buying. I spoke with Jordys, and on initial conversation, he was very pleasant and seemed to want to help. As the purchase of the land progressed, I needed more information for the finance company as the land and home were being financed together. Jordys was very difficult to reach by phone. I was told that he would call me back in 20 minutes and when I didn't hear from him, I called only to be told he left, was moving, and wouldn't be back for several days. Time was crucial, so I made an appointment to meet on Friday to look at the house and sign a contract. Not only was Jordys late, he did not have the home I was interested in on property, even when he told me he did. The homes he did show me were cheap looking and terribly built, and there were a lot of hidden costs. As I still was stuck and needed a contract, Jordys sent me 2 hours South to Lakeland to see the home I wanted. He was supposed to send me the cost Friday, he never did. Then after arriving at Lakeland, they did not have the home i wanted either. I texted Jordys and let him know along with the message that I was still wanting to purchase. He has never contacted me again. I had to scramble that weekend to find a new builder so I didn't lose my property. A blessing in disguise though as the home I found is built so much better and the salesman cannot be more helpful. I managed to make it work despite Jordy almost losing the deal for me. Very unprofessional, would never recommend them or a Clayton Home. Look for homes Built Like a Tank...you won't regret it. Jordy is in the wrong line of business.
