The owners of ******* homes are ***** and ******** They promise that all this stuff will be done and it either never happens or it's half assed. They told me I would have a nice yard and a nice driveway. So at first it didn't look too bad then it rained and my front yard flooded. Than they had their contractor come back out to fix it. They dump more dirt to raise the yard and the dirt has trash and glass in it. When it rained again now my driveway floods. it's ridiculous that i am still picking out trash and glass out of my from yard. The contractor they used to do the yard is RT Absher. Hunter and Jeff are the two that run the place and they do a horrible job at running it and don't care about customer satisfaction. They say they are only responsible for 15ft away from the house. I think its ******** because my lot was all trees and they cleared it and i have a ditch behind my house they could have graded my yard to but now i have to deal with lake erie in my front yard / driveway. And not to mention all the other **** they half assed when trying to fix my house. Think before you buy is all im saying.Clayton Homes, Inc.

I would give zero stars if I could. My dad bought a house from them in July and has had nothing but problems since! Door frames leaking, things falling underneath the trailer, floors messed up, so many other issues to list. BLACK MOLD WAS FOUND!!! ******* homes is claiming they aren't responsible and doing bare minimum to repair. DO NOT BUY THEIR HOME UNLESS YOUR A CARPENTER THAT IS INTO CONSTANT REPAIRClayton Homes, Inc.

I can assure the the customer is not satisfied with the progress and resolution of the multiple repairs needed on this what they claimed to be new home! They have my parents mother and father living with black mold!!! You find that acceptable? Then tell them they can't come back for days and leave jobs half done, left the mold exposed even more.Clayton Homes, Inc.

Thank you for your response, Kody. We are currently looking into this matter and will update you as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this concern.Review fromLindsey M

We have had nothing but problems with our home, from pipes not being attached and leaking into our insulation, other pipes that have not been attached and now they'll have to tear our siding off to see where the problem is, dry wall not even attached to the studs, etc. The cabinets in the home are cheap and not sturdy. I get you have a year warranty but still shouldn't be made out of cheap things. As a new home owner, this has been nothing but a headache.Clayton Homes, Inc.

Hi Lindsey, thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback with ******* Homes. We regret to hear of these frustrations and want to make sure all issues are resolved, and you can be happy with your decision to live in a ******* Built home. We have been in contact with the retail location you purchased from, and they will be contacting you regarding the factory request. Please contact us at ****************@claytonhomes.com if you have any questions.Lindsey M

I appreciate you reaching out. I have not received any updates from ******* Homes. When do you all expect the issues to be resolved? Due to the imperfections of the new home this needs to be taken care of sooner, rather than later. The house was built in a ******* Homes Manufacturing Plant, how is it that it should go to the retail location? They are supplied with the materials for the home. The appearance of the home does not match the value in which the home was purchased. Poor quality materials and poor construction do not fit the price of the home.Clayton Homes, Inc.

Thank you for sharing this with our team, Lindsey. We have confirmed the heat pump was installed by the retail location. The general manager is submitting a work order to the home building facility. Please reach out to him regarding any questions or concerns, as all warranty work will need to be notified through the retailer.Review fromSusan Gayle H

I think Clayton homes in Johnson city TN are cheats. Money stealing. Non responsive. Always giving excuses why the aren't doing their job. They get your money and then u don't exist. I wish I had never bought their home. If anyone is thinking of buying. Do t go there. Unless u enjoy stress and low productivity. They really don't care!!Clayton Homes, Inc.

follow ups are terrible. Leaking roof since day of purchase one year later ! Still leaked. Their people tried to fix it ! Had to hire my own people that I had to pay out of my pocket! It's still under warranty too ! Gave them many chances to fix it !Clayton Homes, Inc.

Hi Lori, thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback with us. We strive to provide a world-class customer experience, and we're sorry to hear about these concerns. Roof leaks would need to be assessed by insurance to determine cause in order to cover costs under warranty. We would recommend contacting our customer advocacy team if you have further issues at ****************@claytonhomes.com.Lori S

Hi ! The mobile home roof should be covered under warranty for any issues ! The home was brand new ! It's been a year of waiting for responses to get it fixed right. After the third attempt from your people ! I had it fixed by a licensed contractor! Not handyman like you sent ! It's fixed now 500.00 out of my pocket. It shouldn't of cost me a dime thank you ! Purchased the home in 2021 ! Brand new !! Thanks ! I have contacted your people again on this matter ! Waiting on a response from them !!Review fromBrittney Z

I do not recommend ******* homes okc. The home was purchased one year ago and is falling apart. The home (foundation work done by *******'s contractors) has settled crooked. The house company agreed upon a list of repairs and then when they finally started to fix them due to "supply issues" took shortcuts. Making the issues look even worse. Communication is not a priority with this office. Many issues with the home that the company said that they were going to fix were "factory issues" which they told me I just have to deal with. I never would have bought this home if I knew all of the promised repairs were "unfixable" and the home would be falling apart. 100% wish that we never bought this home. We would have went with a different company.Clayton Homes, Inc.
Date: 11/09/2022
Hi Brittany, thank you for reaching out to *******! We are sorry to hear about the issues that you are having with your home. The one-year manufacturer's warranty is strictly for structural defects that were present at the time of manufacturing. Unfortunately, home settling is not something that we are able to warranty, as no home builder is able to prevent the land beneath the home from settling. This can cause the home to settle out of square, and for this reason, our home owner's manual recommends having the home releveled periodically as needed. This can be done by reaching out to a licensed setup contractor.Brittney Z

Clayton,
There are several structural defects that we were told to just deal with. The crews that come out to work on the homes do not complete the jobs correctly. Then they say they will come back to fix the problems and never do. There were so many screw ups at the factory that we were told that they are not allowed to fix. They promised certain repairs that we agreed up told me that they ordered supplies. Which they did in December of 2021 and they received those supplies but they never made it to my home. I had to call for 3 months to get put on a schedule for repairs multiple times. When the Clayton contractor did the foundation it was wrong to begin with and they refused to fix it. I shouldn't have to have my homes foundation adjusted this soon. My owners manual I wasn't given until after the home was already delivered. My disabled veteran husband and I moved our 4 kids across country to be closer to family and this house has been nothing but problems since it was delivered. This home has turned into nothing but a problem and a eyesore. If I would have known that you guys would have been such a nightmare to work with I never would have bought this home.

Tucson AZ ******* Homes jacked my price up by $16,000 without apology after having me sign an internal sales document that was supposed to protect my prices. They never arranged any kind of design meeting where they could advise me on my site layout, despite me asking and them promising to set it up. They showed my wife and I a "Marvel" home and told us they could order us a "Marvel-4," which they repeatedly assured us was the same. The home arrived with a completely different rear door. The manager tried to make it our fault, but then conceded and told us they would order a door for us and have it installed at no cost. However, that manager now refuses to even acknowledge emails in which I ask about that door.
Additionally, they promised to arrange everything for us except the installation of our well, which we wanted to have done separately. I was clear that I wanted them to connect the water and power to it as part of set up. However, the electrical connection doesn't appear in the scope of work of either contractor they engaged and neither the project coordinator, the manager, nor the contractor will answer my questions or even acknowledge emails in which I ask about that power. Also, the company that has the installation of underground electrical conduits in their scope of work didn't dig the trench for the conduit between the home and well, even though it's on their site plan. I reached out, but they won't answer me as to whether they're still going to install that conduit.
The CH manager promised me that the setup would take about a month after the home is delivered, but it's been over three months and the contractors only work on it for a few hours every few weeks and none of them will answer any of my questions about when they expect to have things done. I'm trying to coordinate my power hookup with the electric company, the trench for their electrical conduit has been dug for a month or more, but they won't tell me when the conduit will be installed.Clayton Homes, Inc.

Hello,
Thank you for the update. Unfortunately, Bryan ****** is the manager that's been handling my work order. He's fully aware of all my questions and concerns as he's the specific person who's been ignoring them for several months. He has made no attempt to discuss or resolve most of the issues I've brought to him. He won't even send me updates about things he's agreed to. So, I'm sure you can understand my skepticism about anything changing with a phone call (where there's no record of what is said). Email is the accepted standard medium of professional correspondence and I believe that if Bryan ****** intended to deal with me in good faith, he would engage me through the numerous emails I've sent since he took over my contract. Thank you for your help.
Kind Regards,

I brought this $100,000 + Clayton home a year and a half ago. First thing that was wrong was they took my old trade in mobile home away a month before they brought my other home in. So i had no choose to stay in a small hotel room for a month with my wife and a baby. I had to pay out of pocket for that hotel room which wasn't cheap at all. Then when i finally got my home got here soon after when we got our first rain it started leaking through the roof vent into a light socket. It took two different people on two separate dates to come and fix that issue. My outside outlet went out right after that so i had to call again since it was still under warranty. My floor in the kitchen had dips in there my wife notice and they came to fix that after awhile. They had to pull up the alumni floor and fill in those holes which they did a good job on.My bathroom outlet went out in my bathroom after the warrently was over so i had to fix that myself out of my pocket. A year and half later my a/c went out. There is no Freon in the lines so now i have to pay out of my pocket once again for a licensed technician to put Freon in there and find the leak due to them not installing it right. The Freon shouldn't leaked out so fast. My a/c unit is way to small for this house per square footage in Missouri. My wife uncle which has a brand new energy efficient mobile home like mine half of the size with the same a/c unit as mine. My house has to stay pitch black in the day time to keep this house cool. All that Clayton homes can say we have a energy efficient home and this is the recommended size unit. I just notice today my house is separating in my bedroom from the top of the wall to the roof i see daylight and all they can say is the house is settling so cant do anything about it. My front and back door doesn't close right at all. I have to dead bolt my back door in order for it doesn't swing open. They fix the front door before and now it messed up again. You can see daylight through.Clayton Homes, Inc.

Hi Jonathan, thank you for reaching out and sharing this feedback with us. We want to apologize for your frustrations. ******* Homes provides a one-year structural warranty to address any issues related to setup. With the benefits of homeownership comes to responsibilities to take care of your home and perform preventative maintenance. Some routine tasks can be performed by you. Others require a licensed professional. You are responsible for minor repairs and for arranging for the repairs that require the services of trained & qualified personnel. Please remember that routine maintenance is not part of your Limited Warranty coverage. You must bear the expense of correcting problems that are not covered by any warranty. It is completely normal for a home to settle after a year or two and this is not covered under ******* Home's warranty.Review fromDwight J

******* Homes of Rome has been the worst experience in home buying possible. We lost our home to a house fire and fell in love with one of the buccaneer homes that ******* offers. We decided to go with them
Over stick building because of our love for the home they had and it has been nothing but a nightmare. Horrible customer service from the general manager, male chauvinism, and horrible shotty contractors work. It have been over 4 mths and we're still not living in our home.Clayton Homes, Inc.
