Here & I still can't get any issues resolved or ?s answered. Now being told to call extended warranty #'s or talk to someone else. All the issues & out of pockets on top of the over 128,000 for NEW home + Extra warranty & still nothing. (not lot model). My home was damaged from day 1 by CO. & sub contractors. Crew working on my property made additional problems on top of all. My property was a trash can during insulation. No 1 wanted to answer me on bill breakdown on where my $ was spent detailed. (That alone seems sketchy & makes me believe they hired cheap contractors to pocket the rest of my $). Groundwork NEVER completed fully & I know it didn't cost near what they claim. Buried my chainlink fence, no one bothers. Frozen pipes due to insulation torn b/c crew decided not to do any inspections after hooking my water up resulting in water leaking for days under the home causing insulation to fill with water & bust. (Never got fixed.) Oh, & I had to pay that HUGE water bill. Construction had taken way longer than anticipated, & escrow did not get front-loaded, so it's caused my mortgage to skyrocket $300 1st year. So now paying the exact payment I told them from day 1 I won't do monthly. They tried blaming it just on property taxes & home insurance inflation, but an outside real estate agent looked it over & told me the truth. As long as they get their $, that's all that matters. Some employees are extremely rude & get put out anytime you talk to them about an issue that wasn't even our fault. (Manger at our local office). The original lady who started the process with us was friendly but she had to be out of work during a majority of our time getting all this done, so it was like we had no representation & bounced around different ppl. Always excuses. Stuck w/ a 30-year disappointment w/ MY LAND attached too. Land I already paid off once. The electricity quit on 1 side of the house. Could be dangerous, still no help. It's time to go above the company for REAL help.

Good afternoon, Christina and Eric, thank you for contacting us regarding your experience. We are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction regarding the setup of your home. As mentioned in previous communication regarding electrical issues, this is not something Clayton will be addressing unless you receive documentation from your insurance provider that it is a manufacturing defect. Please contact our customer advocacy team if you have further concerns.

I bought a single wide mobile home from your Asheville nc location 2 years ago. Every since I have moved in there has been nothing but problems. Every time it rains the house leaks in multiple spots. I am currently working with my adjuster for the second time. The adjuster did inform me that it was a factory problem. This time the entire house was pouring water from the ceilings, windows, walls and floors. I also have mold growing in my home. Depending on what the adjuster tells me I either expect a new home or a check for a new home. I wish I had never wasted my hard earned money on this company or the home.

Hi Krystal, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We strive to provide exceptional customer care, and we are sorry to be hearing of the issues you are having. Our records indicate the retailer was never notified of any concerns, and the only 2 service items were adjusting the front door and replacing 2 pieces of vinyl siding that were noted on the Welcome Home. When there is a leak outside of warranty, we encourage our customers to send in an adjustor's report so that we can review.

Purchased a Clayton brand new in 2021, they sent it here in Florida straight from the factory. It is now Oct. 2024 (about 3 years) and I’ve had multiple issues with the cabinets and drawers, but no big deal, I’ve fixed here and there. The big issue is that at the beginning of the year, my wife and I started noticing soft spots on the floor, only on one side of the house (its a double wide). Several spots throughout the rear half of the house feel soft when you step, it feels as if your foot is about to go down through the floor. Anyway, we called for warranty, and the company they use to handle warranty claims sent someone out here to check it out. After a few days got a phone call saying that there were no signs of moisture or manufacturing defects, and that this was due to high traffic in those areas. The person looked under the house, where no joists or panels are visible due to insulation and came out with this report of no defects found, how is that possible? My wife and I then decided to lift some of the vinyl flooring on one of the soft areas and found this happens on subfloor panel joints without proper support. Obviously Clayton washed their hands with this and expects us to believe that this is normal for a 3 year old house (about 2 yrs old when we noticed). Go with Jacobsen or any other reputable home manufacturer with better warranty and better construction. Spend some time at the dealerships and look through every model. You will learn a lot from doing this. I hope this helps everyone considering Clayton.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, Juan. Our records indicate that the home's Manufacturer's warranty expired 6/10/2022. The concern of soft spots was not mentioned during the warranty period, and therefore would not fall under warranty. We're sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing, however it has been inspected and found that no manufacturing defect was present.

If you are excited to build your dream home, I would not recommend using Heritage Homes Ltd. Poor communication, poor service, poor quality of work in general. They seem to hire the bottom of the barrel cheapest sub contractor. You will ask numerous times for things to be fixed without any resolution. Their mission is to care about customers and talk about integrity, nice words without meaning.

We highly recommend Clayton Homes. It was wonderful working with people who were friendly, respectful, helpful and knew about the homes they were selling.and what was needed to get the home brought in, set up and finished. Even the crews that worked with the setting up of our home were great, they knew exactly what had to be done and what supplies needed to finish their work.
We are extremely happy and appreciate Tyler, Joyce, Eddie, well all the employees in the office, they always had time for us. One of the most important aspects of working with employees in the business offices, is that they listen to what you are telling them.
My husband and I are thankful and appreciate Clayton Homes and their employees.

Good morning, *** ******. We have reviewed your Sales Agreement and your project file and we show that all home center obligations have been met, with the exception of 10 pickets that need to be replaced on the deck and the skirting needs to be painted. Both of those items will be addressed as soon as possible. Per the project notes, it appears that the item keeping you from moving in is power to the home. Unfortunately, that is delayed because of the recent weather events and out of our control. If there are any other items outstanding that are not noted in our file, please make us aware and we will address them as quickly as possible.
As for the timeline, we show that the home was delivered, and all home center obligations were completed within 45 days. That is well within the normal timeframe that we typically quote of 6 to 8 weeks for delivery and completion of home center responsibilities. If you have information that contradicts our system records, please let us know so we can review.
We did also review the additional $10,000 that was paid to the contractor. Per the notes in our file, it shows that you wanted to move the home and set it differently than originally planned when the Sales Agreement was executed, and prices were quoted from the contractors. The moving of the home set up location caused additional grade work, trees to me removed, etc. and that is what caused the additional cost.

I purchased the breeze 2 12-20 and moved in 05-22. I contacted the deal with numerous issues that needed repair including AC, doors and floor issues. They sent out a few repair man who never got anything fixed and only worried about getting their paperwork signed. My home has become nearly unlivable due to all the mold / mildew which I have researched and found this is a common problem. My floors are buckled everywhere. I tried the extended warranty and they say “the home is settling” or no issues found which is hilarious. I reached back out to Clayton and they said I had to use the warranty company. At this point I am stuck with a home that’s dangerous to live in because of mold and collapsing floors. I am currently having to remediate on my own and out of pocket. All I get is the run around from the manufacturer and told no from the warranty company. I would suggest that no one ever spend another dollar at this place.

Hi Michael, thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback with us. Typically your extended warranty covers structural manufacturing defects, so if they have denied this, we are asking for their documentation stating why. This comes in the form of a letter, and we understand that you have been asking for this. Have they told you verbally what’s causing this concern?
Unfortunately the home building facility will not be able to visit your home at this time. After the first year warranty period is over, the extended warranty would make all service decisions on the home. If they do provide you with a denial letter, we are happy to review this.

My sales person was ms ***** * I had to put down 1,000 refundable deposit to order my trailer. which my trailer was paid in full through restore already . She told me that I would receive my deposit back within 2 days . After I paid her the deposit . she then goes on vacation to Alaska then switch it to deposits are only given back on Fridays. She literally begged me to hurry up and close on my trailer . When my trailer is delivered the underbelly is ripped up On the side where you could see the wooden floor . After about a week of them setting everything up I then noticed there was a leak in my kitchen and it was traveling through the floors the insulation was literally dripping water they then send out a independent contractor and all he does is fix the leak and tape the underbelly. They built my porch too close to my screen door there isn’t enough space for the door to stretch all the way out . The porch started falling apart instantly the screws were way too small so you can easily pull it out . It was built without a light switch my light stayed on all night I had to click the breaker until an electrician was sent out . My trailer is filled with mold . The floors crack he ceiling is cracked the windows aren’t lined up right I have moisture ants in my home it’s not sealed correctly my cabinets are hanging due to small nails my children are constantly getting sick the service team don’t want to work they sent someone out to fix my mold issue and all he did was spray zep and add more lining to the walls they were supposed to fix my toilet leak the service person said that he thought that it was urine so he didn’t fix the leak all of my linings are falling off the walls are fragile my stove is holding moisture by wires which can cause a fire the tubs are cheap the cabinets are cheap my warranty is almost up every time I call to report what’s we with my trailer there is a list that’s being made but when they get here they don’t have the items needed on the truck

Hi ***, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. At Clayton Homes, we strive to provide a world-class customer experience. We spoke with the retail location where you purchased your home and they are going to get a contractor back out to the home. There have been previous cancellations in the past. We would recommend keeping an open line of communication with the retailer in order to get these repairs completed.
