      Piece of crap.. house out here about end of 2017 or beginning of 2018 and needs roof already. Walking on it got so many soft spots ridiculous. Inside put together like ****. They said roof warranty probably out so got to use insurance for roof. They need to come get this piece of **** *nd give me my mo why back. They should be sued for how sorry they put these things together for how much they charge.

      Where do I start, my Clayton Home purchased from Aiken Housing Center in Aiken SC has been an absolutely horrible experience. Leaks from AC equipment, water heater condensation lines installed up hill leaking in my floor, my ELECTRICAL BREAKER PANEL was POURING water into my floor for weeks due to manufacturer fault, then my BRAND NEW FLOOR had to be ripped up and subfloor replaced due to the factory not putting any nails to secure the subfloor, Clayton homes blamed a water leak, the contractors found ZERO water damage when fixing the spot we could feel, now I am unsure of the dependability of the rest of my subfloor. I was uprooted from my home, had to stay in a Airbnb after I was living inside the home for 4 months. Clayton homes has given me a LEMON of a home. This is mine and my wife’s first home, we just got married and Clayton homes has made this absolute hell to deal with. I’m so unsatisfied with this home, everyone steer clear of this manufacturer because they have not demonstrated quality. I paid too much for a home that was half way built. Now I’m stuck and Clayton homes doesn’t care because they got paid. Someone from Clayton homes needs to make this right!!!!!

      I purchased a Clayton Buccaneer home that was put on my property 1/13/24. I still have not been able to move-in, though I have been paying the mortgage on it since that time. I am now waiting for over 6 weeks for one of their contractors to come and complete the damage in the house due to a water leak of some kind (prior to me moving in). At this point, I have pretty much given up hope that I will even be in the house prior to Thanksgiving.
      I can't wrap my head around why it is taking so long on a brand new house, that I'm already paying for. Noone is in any hurry to fix this disaster of a situation, that I am in NO way at fault for. I'm left paying storage for almost a year now since the house is still not completed.
      This was supposed to be the house I retired in, with my family. I researched for 2 years to find the perfect house for us, from a reputable builder/manufacturer. I love the layout and all the touches that I had done to the house. Unfortunately now I'm left with this nightmare that I can't get finished for whatever reason, and a 1 year warranty that will expire before it's finished.

      Sad I was asked to pay ****** down payment an was told was totally refundable within 7 days and it’s been over a month an I still have not received my 1**** refund back, I talked to HR 3 times and still have not got anywhere, I am being told to watch email an listen out for a phone call but I have not received none or anything from anyone, was told weeks ago it be printed an overnighted for me to pick up in person and still as of yesterday it still has not been printed, all I get is the run around, this experience has not been a good one, bad business to me.

      So, it’s September 6th and still not in my home. It was August 15th when my first review came out and everything was blamed on the customer. Well, next week will be another month down and nothing on my end can be to blame. So again, do not use Clayton homes because they use excuses, place blame on others for the poor communication and ownership of their mistakes. Just scroll down a few complaints and you will see my original review which was replied to with lies. Thanks

      Clayton of London ky was the one me and my wife decided to choose from we liked the sales rep he was awesome but what they make him do to make a sale is ridiculous, they keep on taking about church and god and doing what’s right but after paperwork was signed it’s be horrible, we was supposed to get a 5 year warranty at signing but they said no but said they would look at it, they told us we wouldn’t have a payment until all the work was done and cleaned up but they fooled around for 5 months and would constantly not keep us informed or up to date we also was supposed to have one of them here for a walk through before moving in nothing now they want us to make a payment and it’s a mess inside and out and under the house. contractors was nice wish they did there job better foundation guy came he also did the water line he had to come 3 times for foundation and stone guys had to still do it a 4th time still needs work underneath, water line they had to come in 2 times and got a leak now under the house they left all the dirt u see the house that could be used as the back fill but they screwed that up. The footers underneath are still not right they came and just dumped the bag and pooled water on it it’s breaking up cause the blocks are only 2 inches on concrete the rest was on the dirt, the footers dislodged they fixed it but not sure it’s right don’t look right, they told us one thing and did different. Got drywall mud and dirt and chips everywhere, panels are messed up got nails also sticking out in random spots, showers are coming apart now, and so much more got so many pics and videos of the mess, just got heat and air, water, electricity 3 weeks ago. They said it’s livable over a month ago now they are but still isn’t. They lied a lot kitchen coming apart. Said it was livable long before we had anything available push them hard don’t back down they charge way to much to put up with junk

      Thank You All So Much For Your Reviews... After Reading All These Reviews On Clayton Homes Modular Homes? I Think I'm Going To Go With The CHINESE Modular Homes.. They Don't Seem To Have So Many Complaints.. And, They Get A Lot Of Thank Yous For Their Services.. And? Their Prices For The Homes? Are Far More Economical.. I Plan On Getting My Money Back Before Clayton Homes Gets Started On Anything... I Have A Friend Who Has Had A CHINESE MODULAT HOME For About 5 Years Now, And He And His Wife And Two Kids Are Very Happy.. Thanks Again For Your Help.. Good Luck...

      I have a Karsten home that is less than 2 years old. The shingles are falling off my roof and now I have a leak. The manufacture does not want to seem to help in Albuquerque, NM. I've had many problems with this dealer.

      I bought my home from Clayton Homes out of Sulphur Springs and still trying to get in it. They were decent office staff until the paperwork was signed. After that, we have had a nightmare of an experience.
      1. The contractor that pulled the house was banging tree limbs, broke the front door light, and had damaged the roof.
      2. The next crew said the underbelly is full of water and they had to poke holes in it to drain. Still wondering how that is going to go.
      3. The next crew installed the wrong electrical pole not even up to code. The electric company denied hooking it up and we were supposed to have underground service anyway.
      4. The water company lost my application and check. So we are still waiting for that to happen.
      5. The trim around the house is cracked.
      6. The floors are already peeling up.
      7. Drawers are broken.
      8. Trim looks horrible throughout the house.
      9. I paid for all in package and have been so let down. Its almost over hopefully.
      10. They did not even meet the deadline on the loan documents.
      But seriously, I have two friends who started after me and they are already in their home. I would not go with Clayton Homes in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

We strive to provide a world class experience for our customers, and we're sorry to hear of these frustrations. The retailer made us aware of the minimal damage from the home being delivered to the property. They have ordered the necessary parts to make these repairs and the service tech will be out at this property next week to make the repairs needed. Our process is getting the home hooked up and livable before doing any cosmetic repairs, before the customer moves in. The reason the deadline on the loan documents was not met was due to the fact that the electric company took 8 weeks to get out to do their part. The customer is responsible for getting these items hooked up and we were not notified sooner. And lastly the retailer went out to hook up the water this morning and the water meter was still not on the property (which was part of the customers responsibility). If you have further questions or concerns, please reach out directly to the retailer and they will work to resolve any issues.

      when I purchased my. mobile home in 2023, Clayton Homes in Beaufort SC , It didn’t look like the model they had on the lot. Cheap materials was use. Now I have a bathroom ceiling with mold in my guest bathroom. I am afraid to stay there. Clayton Homes is trying to pass the buck,, saying I should go to the warranty company , warranty people said they do not cover the ceiling unless it was defective, how I am supposed to know if it is defective.
      I need help with this I don’t know what to do
