      I have been a member for over 4 years and get the run around when services were needed. I called to cancel and was on the phone for 40 minutes with 2 different ladies, 1 who could barely speak English! The 2nd **** kept ignoring my request of cancellation and telling me I would regret it. She would not put a supervisor on the phone and kept telling me the same thing over and over. DO NOT waste your hard earned money on this company!

      AHS is a very awful company in my opinion. Its hot outside. My AC not working, so I reached out to them. I am assigned a contractor who cannot accommodate no hours I need because they work until 4 pm and I finish work at five. I spent one whole hour on the phone with their representative who told me that the contractor will assist me on the weekend. When the contractor reached back out to me again they informed me that they had no such conservation with AHS. As a result they cannot help me,and I should reach back out to AHS to be reassigned another contractor. I did that and AHS informed me that there is nothing else they can do. I asked for a customer relation address a company as big as AHS do not have an address. Yet the need for an address to complete a previous complaint I had with them about a plumber issue.I would not recommend this company to anyone. Their customer ********************** representative speak at you and over you without listening for what you need. I am disappointed with this company customer **********************, and at this moment my AC has not been serviced by no one.Shame on you AHS. They dont even deserves a rating of a one that how poorly this company operates.

      Very disappointed with AHS. ** never had issue with this company until now. I put in my order on 05/18/2025 the were able to get a company ************** they came out on 5/20/2025 they said I need a new tankless water heater and a mother board. AHS approved for the job and to this day 6/10/2025 neither AHS nor ************** have reached out to update me on the status of the job. The most I got was from CJA Mechanical on 05/28 that the part was ordered and the *** was from 05/30-06/03 I have called them all calls go to voicemail AHS use to be a good company within two business days everything would get resolved. Now they **** they dont give you a straight answer. The latest is that it was escalated to a supervisor I kept pressing them to find out when will they call me back, I found out it will take AHS 48 hours to respond This is a paid service its not free and they were quick to take the 100 bucks Now its a waiting game AHS HAS GONE DOWN THE DRAIN

      all of the contractors they have are straight trash... 3 yes 3 hvac companies to service one central air system.. one pulled in sat in truck for 10 mins did nothing then left without coming to the door(Millennial hvac) .. 2nd stood outside next to unit(Family Comfort) ( we have cam that looks at the driveway and can see the a/c unit) for 15 mins talking on the phone.. went out back door and he looks at me and says"your system is 2 lbs low and it will be $250.00 a pound of R22".. i point at the camera and said is that so sheriff is on the way ******r... 3rd one never even showed up(elite air of *********).

      Id leave 0 stars if I could. I dont know what has happened to this company. This company doesnt care anymore what happens to your home or the contents in it. Our washer decided to shut off and wont stay on. Filed a claim and the shady contracting company *** appliance repair sent a text saying they were ordering parts when they never even came out to look at the washer or diagnose the problem. Never saw them, or the parts. Called AHS back to find out what was going on. They called JDS while I was on hold and told us they were sending JDS to come out. Never heard from them. This started in April, it is now June and every time we call the AHS for a follow up they say they will escalate it and can see that we have escalated it before. They say a supervisor will call but they still have yet to do that.

      Many customers have reported negative experiences with American Home Shield. I purchased a warranty to cover major appliances, including the air conditioning unit, for a recently acquired rental property. Initially, I was informed that the ** was not covered, so I added the necessary coverage. When the unit stopped cooling, I submitted a claim, paid the $100 diagnostic fee, and met with the contractor, who stated that the unit was accessible with a ladder but did not have a truck that could transport one.I contacted AHS to clarify that the unit was accessible with the proper equipment, but they maintained that it was not covered due to accessibility issues. Despite multiple requests, I was unable to locate any documentation indicating that the use of a ladder was prohibited. After waiting several weeks without resolution, I hired an independent contractor who was able to replace the unit without issue using a ladder.AHS does not provide a way to escalate concerns to higher management, and the process lacks transparency. Based on this experience, I do not plan to renew my contract after the one-year term. I would not recommend this company based on my *************** AHS representatives, spare the generic responsecountless customers have already voiced the same frustrations.       After the first tech you sent, left it like that and they refused to go back. Now you sent another tech and they cant diagnose because the first tech you sent, left the circuit board hanging.

      Called in a service request for my well pump, got a service dispatch number and waited for more than 24 hrs. (3 Days). nothing from any repair company as to asking what is going on. I called AHS and was told that it would be ***** hrs. I repeated to them what the web pages says 24HR's. if nothing call them. they could not even give me a phone number of the vender that they said was contacted but did have a name, so i called the vender asking if they had gotten a call for service on my well pump, i was informed by the vender that the no longer will deal with AHS as they don't pay for any services after the job is done. I called AHS and was told they are still waiting for the vender to come out? I canceled my service call and demanded an refund of my Pre-service payment, that i will deal with it my self. I will not renew my service contract with these "waist your time" and get no service scammers. pretty bad when a vender refuses to deal with them because of non-payment, every review here pretty much says the same thing, wont pay the vender, wont agree to pay what the ******** are and down plays the problem so they don't pay out, or just says it was pre-existing condition ! news flash any used home will have a PRE-existing condition that's why we get a HOME WARRANTY just incase something does go wrong after the sale. TOTAL SCAM!

      I'm so sick of getting transferred to people outside of *****************. Nobody seems to know what they are doing. I'm beyond frustrated with American Home Shield. They used to have great customer ********************** until they shipped all of their call centers abroad. I rate them a zero stars.

      If I could I would give them NO stars!! My elderly and disabled mother had an 2 issues in which we contacted the home warranty to resolve (many of which she called in previously and was never resolved). They called Patriot Plumbing to come out (in which we noticed they had poor reviews and seems to be their "go-to" out of all plumbing companies they supposed to have listed). The first issue was her hot water heater was not producing hot water. The guy came in made one little tweak and then said it should work now. Then he left. The water was still cold 24 hours later. We called the warranty and the plumbing company and they said oh...the part is faulty. We will need to order that which will take 3-5 days. Here it is day 7 and they are just now coming back out to "fix" the problem of my mom having hot water in her home. The second issue was that we found that she has a sewage leak under her home in which we called the warranty to fix the pipe and the plumbing company stated that the guy they were sending "could not fit under the crawlspace" but conviently was able to take "zoomed in" pictures of the crawl space (as he did not go in there" and say they did not see a problem. This was the same guy who before going down to the crawlspace told my mom that there was definitely a "sewage problem" as he could smell it in her home. When we asked the home warranty to expedite the issues due to it being a hazard to her health and safety they did not do so until i made 4 different calls and asked to speak to a manager. Mind you, most of the customer care representatives clearly speak English as their second language because it was hard to understand them. To date this issue has not been resolved. They need better representatives and more dedicated and knowledgeable contractors.
