      I attempted to cancel my policy with this company on multiple occasions due to budgetary constraints and a reevaluation of my coverage needs. My initial cancellation request was met with resistance. Instead of processing the cancellation, the company offered a reduced payment plan, extending the payment period from one year at approximately $400 to two years at just under $200, even after I told them I was set on cancelling. Upon realizing that payments were still being withdrawn after the attempted cancellation, I contacted the company again. The cancellation request was again denied. On this occasion, a supervisor stated that canceling was a "dumb decision" and refused to process the cancellation. While I understand the desire to retain customers, the repeated refusal to honor a cancellation request, even after multiple attempts, raises concerns about the company's cancellation policies and overall customer **********************.

      ZERO STARS!!My contract ends on today, and despite the many issues Ive faced, I received a call from AHS attempting to renew my contractyet no one followed up about my unresolved refrigerator replacement. When I called to ask about the replacement model I had selected, I was told it was no longer available and that no comparable options could be found. I was then told I had to choose between an e-payment or a reimbursement option.I requested escalation and was later left a voicemail stating, Theres nothing we can do. A supervisor followed up the next day and repeated the same message, saying they had investigated the matter and that the reimbursement amount would remain unchanged.After five service requeststhree of which resulted directly from AHS's miscommunication, poor coordination, and delayed follow-throughI was shocked that the reimbursement was just over $500. My refrigerator has barely worked for months, with ongoing cooling issues, a broken ice maker, and food waste. I had to throw out groceries, store frozen items at a friends house, and constantly follow up myself to ensure service requests were even submitted.The lack of proactive communication and customer support has been incredibly disappointing. AHS failed to notify me when contractors canceled jobs, submitted duplicate or incomplete service orders, and mismanaged the replacement process entirely. I had to chase updates at every step. Its clear to me that AHS values policy renewals more than resolving long-standing service issues.I will not be renewing my contract. I will proceed with the disbursement options and share this experience with American Home Shield leadership, the Better Business Bureau, and Trustpilot to help others make more informed decisions.

      It has become clear that the notes on my account either lack important details, contain inaccuracies, or are not being thoroughly reviewed. This has led to repeated misunderstandings and inconsistent communication throughout the process. Had the notes been accurate and properly reviewed, AHS might have identified the errors and missed opportunities to engage me as a paying customer experiencing faulty **************************** I understand that AHS operates within a set selection of models for replacements, I would have appreciated timely, accurate, and consistent information regarding the options available to me. I was initially offered the opportunity to select a replacement model via email. However, when I followed up with a customer ********************** representative, I was informed that this was no longer an option.After submitting my selection, I received no response or acknowledgment. I had to initiate contact myself after a week of no communication, which only added to the confusion. This inconsistencycombined with unclear, undocumented communication has made it difficult to understand the process or what is expected of me. Unfortunately, the most recent response from AHS is yet another example of the ongoing lack of clarity and coordination that has characterized this experience. This also sends to be trend other customers complaints and reviews posted online. Apologizes don't replace or repair my refrigerator.

      My garage door opener broke (spring). I placed a work order on 6/1/2025. I have been calling back as instructed with no solution. It has been a week, and my car is trapped in the garage. All of the representatives that I have spoken to have not assisted with getting someone out to my home to fix the garage. The company they contact couldn't fix my garage until 6/16/2025. I was told that was outside their scope. I am still waiting and today is 06/07/2025. The question is how long person has to wait until American Homeshield contact someone outside of their contractors to get a job done. I asked, I was told 48 hr. It has been over 48 hrs. My issue has been escalated 3 times with no resolution. I have asked to speak to a supervisor. They will not transfer my call to a supervisor. I have asked for corporate, they will not give me that information either. I am finding out, they take your money, and their service is never in a timely manner.

      ? 1 Star Completely Failed Customer Support and Unacceptable Delays I have been a loyal American Home Shield (AHS) customer for nearly 4 years, but after this recent experience, I am extremely disappointed and frustrated and will never recommend AHS to ********* the end of March 2025, I placed a service request for my central air conditioning system, which had completely stopped working. The technician AHS sent out confirmed that the ** unit needed to be replaced and that the air handler in the attic was also broken. Since that diagnosis, I have made countless calls, follow-ups, and pleas for help and here we are, months later, with no **, no resolution, and no timeline for when the system will be *************** without air conditioning during the spring and summer is absolutely miserable. Ive explained to AHS repeatedly that this is not just inconvenient its affecting my health and safety. I even offered to pay $8,000 out of pocket just to move things forward, and still, no progress.This isnt the first time AHS has failed me. A year ago, I went through a similar nightmare with a broken double oven, where again, service was slow, unresponsive, and completely lacking in urgency or care.AHS promises peace of mind and reliable coverage but in reality, they delay, deflect, and disregard urgent homeowner needs. They gladly collect premiums and service fees, but when it comes to delivering on their promises, they are nowhere to be found.I am leaving this review to warn others: Do not trust American Home Shield with your home or your comfort. They are quick to take your money and slow (or entirely unwilling) to act when it matters most.

      1 star only because I can not give ZERO Stars. This is a shady business, nothing professional about it. I have been cheated and misled multiple times for a repair. I am surprised this business is being allowed to run. Please be careful with this company. Do not waste your time on this. I really wish some action is taken against this bogus company.

      This company is totally disappointing, my ac unit is not working and I called the company and different technicians came and gave different reasons, but finally a company found its the compressor not working and they asked me to pay $450 to pay out of pocket and I agreed, so far theres nothing going on, I am still waiting for the parts

      I canceled my service in November of last year the customer ********************** person accepted the reason why I wanted to cancel. Then she said that for the inconvenience they would give me 2 months additional at no cost to me as a courtesy and I said that fine. Fast forward I have been charged I thought since February unbeknownst to me to my credit card. I had to re cancel the account again and was told that a $50 fee would be added to my credit card again to cancel again. I told the representative no I don't agree with that but I would like to be refunded for the improper charges. I believe this is a scam company that I would not recommend to anyone.

      Called American Home Shield to file a claim. The service was mediocre however I dont believe that is the issue. ********* the technician that came out was honest and upfront from what I witnessed. He looked inside the pump and said the pump is spinning fine. Took off 4 screws, checked for voltage and said ok you have power where it needs to be, you must have a bad circuit card in the top of the pump. He said I will submit to get that replaced. I'm thinking ok perfect, well that was easy, why does everyone give bad reviews? We log into our American Home warranty plan and the notes say NOTHING about a bad circuit card. I call Upland (DISHONEST) P*** Supply, after 5 attempts they answer. I speak with ******* who reviewed the notes and said ok this is what ********* said. I said yep thats right she says oh wait a minute the supervisor added notes that said pool pump has calcification build up which is causing stress on the pool motor which is causes it to burn out??? **** 1. ******************* wasn't even here to see any calcium build up. 2. ******** never wrote anything about stress on motor or calcification buildup anywhere. So needless to say the claim was DENIED due to secondary wear and tear caused by, yep US. VERY DISHONEST COMPANY do NOT call them for anything. If I could give a ZERO I would. And stay away from American Home Shield as well. I called to complain about the * S. and they said well you can pay another $100 for a second opinion. YES where do I sign up, They assign me another ************ I look up the reviews, 1.2 stars. SMH WTH it's no wonder people can't get claims submitted. Its all a racket, the warranty companies use hole in the wall c*** companies so that they dont have to pay out the claims. Needless to say we are in the process of canceling them as well. I do NOT recommend this company to anyone unless of course you want to throw away your hard earned money. Thank you for reading. And good luck to all the honest hard working peeps out there.

      I am beyond frustrated with my experience dealing with my dryer issue and the warranty company, American Home Shield. Over the past few months, four different companies have come out to look at my dryer, and none of them have resolved the issue. The dryer runs, but it does not dry clothes in a single cycle. I have to run it up to four times just to dry one load, and Im not overloading it.Each technician has replaced a part, and every time the problem persists. They all kept recommending vent cleaning, which I paid for out of pocket, and yet another technician came and said the same thingeven after it had already been done. I finally spoke with a supervisor, who agreed to send someone for a second opinion. That technician actually told us the dryer needed to be replaced because its not functioning properly. Then he asked for a good review and gave us paperwork stating that the dryer is working fine and doesnt need repairs. That was a complete lie to our ******** American Home Shield is using that false report to deny fixing or replacing the dryer. This whole process has been a complete nightmare. Why am I paying for a warranty plan when all it does is send out contractors who collect their check without properly diagnosing or fixing anything?I do not recommend American Home Shield or their network of contractors. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and runaround Ive received is unacceptable. Ive wasted time, money, and energy for months with no resolution.
