  What a terrible company, they hire 2 star terrible contractors to fix my AC, 3 weeks in and they havent even ordered the parts still, they are giving us a hard time about hiring a 5 star contractor that will give us actual good service. We have been suffering 90 degree weather with no AC for over 3 weeks, unacceptable!

  We've had a home warranty with them for over 15 years. They messed up a service request, where two of our three toilets weren't working, and after 5 days had a HORRIBLE plumbing company come out who wouldn't wait even 5 minutes for AHS to fix their mistake with the service request. Then AHS refused to expedite service, even though it was their mistake and we've been a customer for so long. We will not be renewing our service and do NOT recommend anyone using them. If you do, expect to be very disappointed.

  Got sold a lemon! Sales guy deceived me about what was covered and what fees or labor costs to at might not be included for work performed. Suckered me into purchasing a five year warranty. Horrible contractors with obviously no vetting process whatsoever for contractors. Also absolutely the worst customer ********************** Ive experienced in quite some time I voiced my concerns with customer ********************** only to be ignored and literally hung up on me. I got LIED to . I wouldnt recommend this company to ANYONE. I feel most of the good reviews on AHS are bots and not real reviews because if youve done business with this company than you would know they are garbage.

  each company they send has had to come out 3 times and the work is still not done properly for electrical or plumbing work.I called and asked for a company listed in the phone book and they hung up on me and assigned a company not in the phone book again.I called back and they said they get to choose who does the work, not me. Fine, just make sure they are in the phone book, and got hung up on again.I called back again and they elevated this to dispute manager and he never called me back.DO NOT USE OR TRUST AMERICAN HOME SHIELD OR THIER SUBCONTRACTORS.Buyer beware!!!!

  Back in April, I called American Home Shield to have a plumber come out to resolve a slow drain in my kitchen sink. The contractor they sent out did not resolve the issue after running 100 feet of snake. I had to call out Roto-Rooter a few days later, they ran 10 feet of snake and found the source of the blockage. They charged me $500. I contacted AHS to complain about having to pay someone out of their network extra when their contractor was negligent in resolving the issue. I wanted them to refund the difference I paid to get the matter resolved. After speaking to 10 representatives, and being told that we'll pass your complaint to someone, I never received an email or call. I decided to cancel the home warranty. I've gotten the run around for almost 2 months. They make it hard to cancel. They'll transfer you to the cancellation department and the phone mysteriously disconnects.If you like the potential of having an issue not being resolved and getting the run-around when you contact them, go with AHS.

  I've been with American Home Shield since September 2017. Always great service from this company. So far, they use good quality service men and women and these service people want 5 stars for their work, which means they want to give good service.

  We got home warranty through American Home Shield. Our first claim was for A/C repair. June 8th. Extremely slow service. Were in triple digits. I thought it was the repair company. So I asked. No! The repair company has to wait for AHS to SEND them the part, even though the repair company HAS the part. It will be over 2 MONTHS from claim to service! TWO MONTHS for something that should take maybe 2 weeks. Meanwhile triple digits here.
