      Terrible. You better hope your AC doesnt go out during the summer because youll go without it for awhile. It was day 8 before they dispatched someone to come out to my house. After day 3 I hired someone myself due to health reasons and it being 90 degrees inside. They charge $65+ monthly just to have a contract. Then its a $100 service fee to request service. Notice that didnt say to get service. They get by with not fixing things and say its not covered. So you do not get your service fee back. Do yourself a favor and save the monthly fee and service fee and dont use them. I have canceled my plan and wish I had never used them. Youve been warned! Oh and their customer ********************** is nothing but scripted lines and they say they have x amount of hours to respond or do something. They had 48hours to get me an hvac person. They did it in 8 days! Breach of contract without any repercussions. Oh and if you get time look up all of the lawsuits they have gotten.

      Their referred technicians are very poorly rated. Their tech corrected an AC problem. My electricity **** jumped from last than $4 per day to as much as $24 per day. Original company refused to follow up. Next tech failed to show and doesnt answer their phonewith no messaging available. Its been 45 days since my original request for service.

      Im sure most warranty companies are also guilty of this, but Im just disgusted with how warranty businesses run and how they are allowed to operate in such an unethical way. You pay them a premium each month, then you pay them a service fee to have someone come to your home to basically tell you that whatever problem you have cannot be fixed. The problem is blamed on wear and tear or its old which then the warranty company says they either cannot cover it or cover very little; which then means that the customer has to pay a significant out of pocket amount. Then why is the warranty company needed? Its just a legal way for these companies to scam consumers. I wish they would behave the same way they do on their commercials when its time to actually pay out on a claim. I cancelled my warranty and will rather save $$$ to pay for my own repairs instead of allowing these companies to steal my money.

      Horrible company! Not worth your time or money. I never leave bad reviews but felt I had to leave this one. I'm a realtor and have had horrible experiences with them and have had multiple clients suffer the same. My review is based upon these experiences. They take up to a week to send a technician. They make you wait (4 weeks so far) for parts to come in. They don't replace like products with like products. They put you in voice mail purgatory when you call, then tell you their automated system tells you that you have an additional 20 minute wait or can leave your number for a call back. When they do call back they tell you to call the provider. Problem is, the provider told you to call AHS...back in purgatory. Nothing gets resolved without spending an extensive amount of time and energy and, even then, your claim is denied or you're only partially compensated and/or you have to pay out of pocket an additional amount (Think claim for kitchen faucet is accepted but provider won't fix it without charging you to remove the garbage disposal first. That cost is more than you'll be reimbursed for the faucet and AHS service call).

      AHS sent a tech to my property to repair a water leak on a Saturday, upon arrival the tech said he couldnt find the leak and to call him to come back after the demo crew exposed the leaking pipe. Water heater was removed and kept unconnected (meaning no hot water). He then proceeded to charge us, he said he wanted to charge us $350, but to help us out, he was going to instead just charge us $100. He asked that we Venmo or zelle him. When I called AHS they told me that I should never have paid him and that they would file a complaint with the company that he reports to. Wednesday morning they send the same plumber back to fix the leak (mind you, we have video of the leak). He came over but demanded to speak to me, he wanted to know what exactly I told the AHS because he is now in trouble and I was never supposed to say he paid me anything, that now he has to charge me for all the labor and nothing he can do about it. My husband then tells him that AHS told us not to pay him anything. He became upset and asked that I write a letter saying that he never paid me anything and that he would then reimburse me. My husband said he would not do ************* proceeds to say that the claim with AHS is now cancelled and if we want to correct the issue it will be $6300. When I called AHS to see what that was about, AHS said that per the techs notes the leak was in an area that is not covered. (these are lies, he did this to cancel the claim and get back at us for telling his boss that he is making additional money on the side). Meanwhile we are in a hotel due to no water in our home. I called AHS to advise and they said they would have to send another tech and we would have to pay another service fee. AHS took his side and are making us wait up to 48 hours to get a supervisor to call us back. Meanwhile we have no water. AHS showed no remorse or willingness to try to help us out of this situation. My husband had to fix himself.

      My AC has been out for 10 days, and it is triple digits outside. As of right now, I keep waiting on hold for at least an hour each time I call just to have a costumer service representative to tell me that the dispatcher needs to fill out a proper diagnosis. The company they are sending for AC repair, ARTIC BREEZE, is no longer responding because they already sent their diagnosis, and AHS isn't accepting it. I'm receiving calls almost daily from AHS because they want me to renew my service, but they do not want to fix my AC. They offer no solutions, and keep placing the blame on the company that THEY are assigning to fix the issue. This company is awful and not quick to respond. AHS does not care. Their customer ********************** is awful. DO not recommend.

      If I could give this company ZERO stars I would. TERRIBLE customer **********************, they find loopholes to not cover things that they should AND make it absolutely impossible for you to cancel with them.

      I have had American Home Shield for over 16yr. My A/C. has been out for over 1 month. I have been lied too put off with excuses after excuses. I was told the wire was bad then the motor was bad then finally the compressor. The heating and cooling found a compressor and told me I had to pay for the Freon. I paid $900.00 for Freon then I was told that the compressor was bad. When I call the customer ********************** number theyre out the country they dont care they just give excuses. I been waiting over month with know end in site. They lied and said the heating and cooling would have the compressor July 22nd that too was a lie. I called back they said the heating and cooling company will have it Fri Aug 5, 2022 that too is a lie. I talked to the heating and cooling company he said nobody told him that. I am between a rock and a hard place. American Home Shield take their money out of my account every month and the heating and cooling company has my $900.00. This is horrible and my house right now is 97 degrees. If I was to die from heat exhaustion American Home Shield would be responsible. I will write a review every day about this company until my A/D is working. Really they should give me a new AC, God knows I have paid for several over 16yrs.

      I have been without air conditioning in my home for three weeks. The weather has consistently reached 101 to 104. I have had to contact them daily. Then contact the air conditioning company to try to get one to move. They have informed me there isnt anything they can do to help the process. The air conditioning company hasnt submitted the diagnosis and has wont proactively either call them to get it or switch companies to someone who provides better service. AHS sends you in circles. Their service lacks significantly. Horrible horrible horrible. There is not an option to submit a review on their website.
