  Save yourself a lot of trouble and avoid this company. I have never experienced such fraudulent service and treatment from a company. They need to be shut down. Every claim we have ever filed has been such a stressful experience and ended with us paying more than we should have had to per our contract.

  *********************************** were great as usual. Have used American Home Shield for a number of ************ have always come through even when we have moved they have been there for us. When one of my appliances could no longer be repaired because they could no longer get parts due to the of age of the appliance they replaced it. My only beef is that sometimes it is hard to get through to a real person which I hate because sometimes the automated answering systems doesn't allow one to leave lengthy messages & getting a contractor to come out can take several days or a week even when they are told you have health issues which I hated especially when our air conditioner went out when temperatures were extremely high. Other than that technicians & service they provide have always been good once you & helpful. They need more contractors.

  I would give no stars if I could. This company contracts with complete idiots to come into your home and attempt to fix your appliance. The idiot contractor then rips your new flooring when moving your dryer and American home shield will not help you solve the problem AT ALL. Then you take the contractor to court for damages done to your property and want to cancel your warranty and they have the nerve to wanna charge you a ***** cancellation fee! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, ITS A COMPLETE WASTE OF YOUR MONEY!!!!!

  I have paid premiums to American Home Shield for two years. In January or February of 2022, my hot water heater broke down and I contact this company for service. They assigned a business to deal with my problem and I never heard from them. I called AHS on several occasions and was told that someone would call me to repair my water heater. THIS NEVER HAPPENED. I had to pay to have my water heater repaired at my own expense.In July of 2022, my 7 year old central air conditioner stopped and the temperature outside was 100 degrees for several days. I again contacted AHS for service and was again assigned a company that was supposed to call me to service my unit. The company NEVER CALLED and they never answered their telephone after I tried to reach them several times. AHS repeatedly said they would contact the assigned company but this NEVER HAPPENED. I ended up paying $8000 for a new air conditioner and I am FURIOUS. I would like reimbursement for all the monthly premiums I paid to AHS over two years because they failed to honor my service requests.

  ***** ******** managed my first home warranty claim to replace my kitchen faucet with ease and optimal professionalism. AHS services managed my claim pleasantly and expeditiously. I'm so glad to have a home warranty with AHS.

  Not too happy but normally I am; due to the fine print. I had two services within the same week. Service 1: Order for one ceiling fan but then the other one next to it went out. Called AHS for an add on for the 2nd fan. I was not allow to hold for ***** minutes but forced to allow a call back when I wanted to hold. The technician wasn't at the home yet. The call back took over 40 minutes as the technician was about to leave for a callback. Couldn't add on because call back too late and he had another job to go to; allegedly per AHS this is what the company told him. Service 2: AHS provide electrical Service but don't replaced fixtures (*************) for kitchen light. Now will hire electrician for both jobs. We could have saved Service fees and have 1/2 way paid the electrician for our ceiling fans and kitchen light.

  I have paid over $600 to date for a home warranty plan that was supposed to co er appliances. Our washer started acting up, so I called for a repair. I was required to pay $100 for a technician to diagnose the problem. The contracted repairman came out and stated it was an expensive fix - a busted drum. I called today to schedule the repair but was told by The AHS representative that the contractors report stated the problem was not due to normal wear and tear, but was due to misuse by homeowner - overloading the washer. I stated that was not the case. The response by AHS was that my only option was to pay another $100 for another contractor to come out, but if the diagnosis was the same, AHS would not cover it. I replied that it seems to me contractors can only state whats wrong and whats needed to fix it, not who/what caused the problem. AHS replied theres nothing they can do. ******** learned. AHS can always say that its the home owners fault, and not cover what the terms of the contract state they are supposed to cover. Ive currently been waiting 40 minutes to cancel.appears to be harder to cancel than a gym membership. Run, dont walk from this company! Id give 0 stars if I could.

  My stove was not functioning properly. I contacted American Home Shield and within a couple days a technician came to take a look at it. Since he couldnt order the piece American Home Shield offered to replace my stove. The whole process was very easy and convenient.
