  Our water heater was leaking in our basement. I called American Home Shield and they kept telling us to call back in 24 hours, the when we called back they said 48 hours. They could not find an in network plumber for 2 weeks and we were without hot water for 2 weeks. They finally gave us the approval to go outside of the network. When I submitted the invoice for the repair they said they did not approve the repair with an out of network plumber. This company is awful. They make it impossible for you to get a claim approved and will not pay you out!! You also will never get a manager on the phone. I have wasted a month of my time and energy on getting reimbursed and it never happened. This company is a scam. We are taking them to court.

  I will never refer this company to anyone. Everytime we call, no one has any answers, and the inabiliy to transfer you to any other **** for answers. They can send emails, but never recieve them, after sending 7 times. I asked several times to speak to a manager or get a phone number to call one and they didnt have it instead had to ****** it. Also told us they dont have an owner or corporate office to call. This is the worse company we have ever experienced.

  I consider American Home Shield Insurance- all other insurance companies refund money back to the date when the policy was officially terminated due to various reasons such as a sale or death. In this case we sold our house but forgot to cancel the policy. In trying to collect the refund since there is no use for the policy nor would one ever request a claim, AHS policy is to refund back to the prior month rather than the sale date. When trying to elevate the issue to a supervisor, no supervisor was available nor a first or last name that I could call. Apparently, AHS does not value their customers and for a few dollars in refunds are not looking to keep their customers. I called a week earlier to cancel but unable to talk with the cancellation **** because they were not open. This is exactly what happened when we tried to cancel the policy but our fault for not following up on the cancellation when the property was sold. I am very disappointed, I would not recommend this company in the future based on how they responded to me as a customer **** O

  I have had many positive experiences with AHS for more than 7 years. I am happy with the contractors assigned for my jobs at home. On 2022, there were spikes in orders such as AC in summer that took a while to have somebody assigned. Having AHS has been a good alternative.

  BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! I HAVE SPEND A MONTH WAITING FOR MY WASHER TO BE FIX TO NO AVELL IS A DESSGRACE THE WAY THEY TREAT THE CUSTOMER THE ********************** COMPANY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE *** THEY PERFORM I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DO MY LAUNDRY FOR THE PAST 4 WKS I AM A 73 YEARS OLD MAN AND THE COMPANY AND THE SERVICE PERSONAL DO NOT GIVE A S*** ABOUT MY SITUATION.

  Do not use I have had this service for over 7yrs. This weekend would be the second time I needed to use it. The ac went out in my home it was over 100 degrees in the house. They say they expedited the order only to find out that was a lie. Had to contact a company to come out and do a temporary fix that cost $345 only to call today after they charged me $125 that someone canceled the order obviously placed another as she said I was in que when I questioned it and provided all the information they provided me she placed me on hold and sent me to the survey. Mind you I waited over an hour to get hour and she didnt even help 2 mins. Sad to say Im on hold again with a 45 min hold time. After this I will be canceling and going to Choice Home Warranty while they arent the best at least the customer ********************** is good and they send someone out ???????
