1 starWe had a very disappointing experience. Our van was hit by a commercial vehicle that was covered by Sedgwick. It was difficult initially to even get ahold of anyone there. Eventually we were able to make contact (2 weeks?) and it was an absolute mess. They were dishonest and said they appraised my vehicle (I had it with me the whole time and it was never appraised) but couldn’t name by who or when the appraisal happened. Obviously it never was as I was driving my totaled vehicle around town for MONTHS because of how long this process took. While on the phone, I was told she was looking at photos of the inside of my van (Honda odyssey). I asked her to email me the pictures. They were photos of a trashed Toyota sedan…. They only offered me $7600 to replace my van and I sent them pages and pages of comps. They said almost every singe comp was unable to be used even though I followed their instructions exactly. The ones they could use did not change my offer because they use an undisclosed formula to calculate the value and each comp was weighted differently. It was so frustrating. I finally listened to advice of friends and went through my own insurance company (I had worried the subrogation process would be a mess). My insurance company first offered me over $10K for my van, but after they looked at it they fixed it literally in 2-3 days. So Sedgwick could have fixed it initially, or if not should have obviously paid more for the totaled vehicle. They were dishonest and responded SO slowly, sometimes took two weeks to hear back. The only positive is that they didn’t give my insurance company a difficult time in subrogation process. They were probably glad to see they had to spend less than their initial measly offering since the van was fixed at a lower cost. The whole thing was SUCH a headache!!!Review fromMatthew A

1 starI intended to have surgery in November 2024 and opened a LOA claim, however, I had to postpone my surgery until 2025. I reported o Sedgwick on ***** at 10:30 AM ET that I would not be taking the leave. The representative told me that she would cancel the claim. No other instuctions were provided to me to do anything else. This cancelation was not communicated to my employer and as a result, my 11/29 paycheck is short by over 1k. I called my HR and they told me Sedgwick needed to take action on their part to resolve. I called Sedgwick, however they are closed on 11/29 and no one is in the office until 12/03 to even address. There is no indication on their website or phone VRU that they are not in the office on *****. They representatves I spoke to was unable to assist me with anything other than an existing claim. If I could have left no stars instead of one, I would have.Review fromPourya S

1 starIt takes forever for them to process a claim. It has been two months and I have not received an answer. When I told the adjuster that I want to have my own contractor to do the repairs, they started for finding a reason to reject the claim and yet I do not what would happen.First, their partner contractor came and visited my home. they were ready ro perform the repairs. However, when I told I want to have my own contractor, the cat and mouse game started.Stay away from this company as well as *************** and ***************Review fromJaniya W

1 starThis Business is a rip off, I paid more money for storage coverage than they willing to pay out. My Claim manager ******** ***** Have bad customer service, no Communication skill's, ruled and non responsive. I sent every piece of information she asked over 3weeks ago and she just responding without an solution to my things being damaged while in Storage but basically letting me know they wont pay me for my damaged items. Not only was my things damaged but Storage was full of f**** and Im also missing items. I wouldve settled for a damaged payment but the company only willing to pay $250 of damages and take out a $100 deductible which leaving me $150 I cant replace my TVs with that, I spent more then that washing all my clothes that was vermin on not including the things I had to throw out. Smh this is so unfair to me and my children because I work hard for my things and paid top dollars for everything in my home. I promise am do everything in my power to shut this business down if I dont get a respond nor pay out before my 60 day period end this monthReview fromMeralyn K

1 starIf I could give them a big fat 0 I most certainly would!! This company is horrible! Noone ever returns your calls and they make no attempt to process your claim until the very last day allowable, then they close your claim stating that medical docs have not been received although the doctor's office has faxed them multiple times with proof. You then have to appeal and wait an additional lengthy period of time. Meanwhile you are not getting paid and all of your bills are incurring late fees. Then when they do approve your pay you receive only 2/3 of your normal pay because this company claims that they are allowed to pro-rate your payment, in addition to sending the back pay (that they held up) as an "off- cycle" check which puts you into a much higher tax deduction. All-in-all, this is a crooked, thieving company!Review fromLori A

1 starThis company is the worst company I've ever dealt with, our claim is over 11 months old, no contact no call backs!, They initially told us that they are not an insurance company but that we had to get a quote from a contractor to do the work, we hired a guy for that, he came in, inspected and quoted, we sent to Sedgwick, then Sedgwick said well, now we're going to send someone to quote, they did and the contractor agreed with all that we were claiming, We were told that they want way too much money, now we just don't hear from them anymore, We email and call almost on a daily basis and nothing. Meanwhile we could be living amongst mold damaging our health, yet no one cares. We will never use ********** ever again! And we can't do anything about it but write this note? And seeing how many bad reviews there are, they should be shut down!Sedgwich CMS is thee most horrific company EVER!Review fromJulie B

1 starI don't know who this company is but I'm about to file a complaint with several entities on this company. They are used by ***************** for short-term disability. I have been dealing with them for the last 5 months trying to get them to repay my FMLA and my short-term disability. After they had messed up their representatives put reports and case information and wrong cases and reports. this has been a nightmare and then I get this off bill from ******** stating that I have to pay back $142 and I am not a New York citizen. I'm in a different state, there's something really off and wrong about this company and they should really beReview fromRick E

1 starAbsolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with. Every phone number in my state is not in service or disconnected and the wait time to file a complaint with my workers comp claims adjuster was upwards of half an hour. NEVER use this company's services. I've called my adjuster 9 times over the last month and I'm sent to voicemail every time. I've left messages politely asking to be called back along with clearly stating my number and my phone has been silent since I filed the claim. If I could give this company less that 1 star it wouldn't be enough. I have spent the last 3 hours calling any number related to Sedgwick I can find and every number has been a dead end. Absolutely atrocious customer service as well given that they hung up on me after their phone rang once. There is no one to contact and they clearly dont give a s*** about their clients.
