  Shed appeared ok when purchased. I let it sit for a month or so because I had other projects going. Then when I went to insulate it and put flooring down. There was a hump in the center of the floor and the back wall/side appears to be falling or sagging. I was told that I had moved the shed which I did not touch the shed since leveled by the delivery guy. Again I was called a liar over and over! The guy that came to look at the problem with the leaky doors and the floor and the sagging wall was the rudest representation for a company that I have dealt with in all my 67 years. I want my money back or the problem resolved correctly immediately. No resolution at this time.

  Dear *** ****, After extensive review of your case, Old Hickory will be picking up this shed and replacing it with a new build. We believe the driver will be picking it up today since he is in the area. The new build will be done within a few weeks, although I haven't been given an exact ETA. Regarding the driver you spoke with, it's our understanding that when he visited...you asked him for his professional opinion for how the issues could have developed. In his experience as a driver (not a builder), he thought it could have happened by moving the shed...which is true. But in following up with this driver, he assured us that he did not mean to imply that you were lying...only that moving the building was the only potential cause of the issue that he was aware of. That said, our construction experts have said there's no way to really know how it happened, so they want to replace the shed for you with a new one. We hope this resolves the issue for you and that ultimately you will be pleased with your Old Hickory shed. We do appreciate your business. Sincerely, Old Hickory Buildings & Sheds

  I stopped by many local dealerships while shopping for a storage building. While viewing their buildings in person on the lot, I saw that Old Hickory buildings are of good quality and craftsmanship. Before any large purchase, I always research as much as possible to make an informed decision. After reading the many negative reviews for Old Hickory on BBB, I nearly did not follow through with a purchase. I am glad I went with my instinct and purchased a 12x20 building from them! The experience was pleasant; everything went flawlessly from the initial order to delivery and set up. The sales rep was accommodating and worked with me to ensure I got what I wanted, from the exterior color to the optional add-ons. The estimated lead time was spot on! My building was delivered today, and it is beautiful. Jeremiah, the delivery driver, was very friendly and even worked with me to resolve a scheduling conflict. He set up the building promptly and got it perfectly level. Old Hickory is a professional company, and I do not understand all of the negative reviews. I can't speak for any warranty claims, and I hope I never need to, but thus far, my experience with them has been quite positive.

It's rare to get a positive review on the Better Business Bureau as it seems to be a place where people only complain. ****** Reviews are probably a better representation of the overall experience our customers have doing business with us. While we do have some warranty issues on occasion...it's fairly rare and it's also why we have a warranty...so that we can make things right if something about the build or the materials fell below our standards (or sometimes damage occurs during delivery). We sell thousands of sheds and storage buildings nationwide every year...so the handful of negative reviews and complaints are a tiny fraction of the total number of buildings built and sold. We wish people could hear more from our satisfied customers, so we appreciate you taking the time to write your review...especially on the BBB!! We hope you enjoy your building!!   What started out to be a good purchase, quickly turned into a disaster. Workmanship became very obvious after deliver, improperly installed doors allowed Monsoon Storm rains to leak in and no response for warranty work. Then came their inside financing *** ******** ******* screwing up the first payment date to now after one missed payment, they are threatening repo of a building they from the start was going to used as a tony home, stating I wasn't allowed to make modifications. Both Old Hickory and *** ******** ******* are some of the rudest people to attempt to work with on any resolution.

  Dear *** *****, We apologize for the delay in getting the warranty claim resolved. Our repairs team has contacted the local shop that's responsible for the repairs to let them know the repair needs to be scheduled immediately. It should have already been done, so we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. A representative from the shop should be in contact with you soon to schedule this. Regarding the Rent-to-Own payment and your comment about making modifications to your building...please contact *** ******** ******* as they are the lease holder and therefor own the building until all Rental Payments are made. Typically, modifications are not permitted on rental buildings because the customer doesn't own them until the building is paid off. Old Hickory Buildings & Sheds is the manufacturer of the building and handles the cash sales only.   We purchased a shed on 07/01/24 off the lot of a dealer 2 miles from our property. The purchase contract clearly states delivery usually within 1 to 2 weeks. Despite several calls to Old Hickory Buildings, as of today, we have yet to receive delivery. Phone calls that are promised are never returned. My shed continues to sit on the lot

Our customer service team looked into the issue and found that the delivery had been assigned to a driver and then that driver left the company and it hadn't gotten reassigned as it should have been. It was an oversight and we apologize for the inconvenience. By now, you should have heard from the new driver responsible for delivering your building.   Poor customer service. Won't give support to any degree after purchase. The quality is okay--about 3.5 out of 5. I have tried to get some replacement trim for almost a year. I was told I could go to any dealer and order it--this is NOT the case. Now I have been told to go to ****** I only contacted Old Hickory after I tried to find it elsewhere. They have strung me along for a year--and now they have told me to go find it yourself! Look elsewhere for a shed--there are a lot of companies out there. This company will not provide you support once the purchase is complete--even though they claim they will!!

  Dear *** ********, We're sorry to learn of your experience, but we're unclear why you've left a bad review for us. We looked up the communication records and reviewed the pictures you sent. It's clear the the trim broke because it was hit with a mower or something similar...rather than the result of a build quality issue. We've also seen that our Warranty Repair team has been trying to help you and has offered to sell you two lengths of trim so that you can make the repair...even though selling pieces of trim is out of norm for what we do as we're not a lumber yard or a materials supplier. We do sell individual options that are specific to sheds...like windows, barn doors, roll-up garage doors, etc...but not usually individual lumber parts. That said, we make every effort to help our customers in situations where a repair to their shed is needed and it falls outside of our normal warranty claim parameters. We're trying to do that in this case and our team has been in consistent contact with you this past week. Again...we're sorry you feel that it hasn't been a good experience, but we believe we've done everything we can to help despite the fact that the damage done to your shed was not our responsibility.   I contacted Old Hickory almost a year ago to see if I could get some replacement trim as I could not get it elsewhere. I did find some similar trim—but it would only be available as a large quantity purchase. That is when I reached out. I was told I could order material through local dealers. Which I tried to do. From the beginning I was upfront that this was not warranty work—I was looking to purchase the material. After trying to get help multiple times from the local dealer—I contacted Old Hickory again asking for help. I was basically told to figure it out myself. I responded with disappoint and was contacted and offered the material for $50 if I could pick it up at my local dealer. Before I could respond the following day—I received another email from Old Hickory saying that the offer was no longer an option—no explanation was given. Ten months of false information—lack of concern—and out right lies—that seems to be what Old Hickory has to offer. Don’t believe what they say. Look for a shed provider that will stand by their product and their customers—not one that will treat you like you are nothing once payment has been made and the shed is out the door.

  Old Hickory shed and buildings ** ******* are Crooks they have took me for over $8,000 on a $4,500 shed that it was damaged at time of delivery and never fixed it and I refuse to pay the last $800 because the shed is damaged the roof is torn half off and it is structurally not sound if anybody else has had these problems please consider class action lawsuit against this company

We do have a warranty claim from a customer with the same name in Montana. Is that you? If so, that warranty claim was fully resolved on 3/25/2021 and there is not record of any roof damage as you mentioned. There was an issue with the door and door trim...both of which were repaired over 3 years ago. If that is not you and your order or warranty claim was placed under a different name, please provide that information so that we can look it up in our log. ALL warranty claims need to be made through our warranty claims page (https://oldhickorybuildings.com/warranty-info-claims/) so that it can be properly managed. If that was never done, then we wouldn't be aware of any need for repairs. Please let us know and we'll follow up with another reply after further investigation.   I leased a building around Nov/Dec 2023 with the intention of having it delivered to my new property in a month or so. That deal fell through and I did not have the ability to get it until I was able to attain a property. Talked with a woman at head office that said I do not start paying payments until it is delivered to a property. I said ok and had been looking desperately for a property to purchase. I then received a bill that stated I owed $1800 for rental fees. The storage unit is still sitting on their lot! Never came in to my possession. I was told I did not pay until it was delivered. Now I lost the storage unit as well, if I want to get another unit I'd have a bad credit with them!

  My husband and I have purchased 2 sheds Spring 2023 cash, no payment plan! We had great luck with our first shed the 12x32 and have had nothing but a DISASTER with the 12x28. We have had several people come up to look at it and each time it has been made WORSE! We can't even open the door anymore!!! Now we can't get Old Hickory Buildings to return our phone calls. Our next step is to go back the the small place that sold it to us. We would just like for them to come and take the shed back and refund us! Buyer beware if you have a problem it will NEVER be resolved!! Absolutly terriable customer service. I would give a _NEGATIVE 5 STAR_ if that was an option. I guess $22,000.00 got us 1 usable shed! Horrible company!!!!!

  Dear ** ********, We're sorry that your 2nd building has given you so much trouble. After speaking with our Warranty Repairs team, they informed me that the following actions have taken place: 4/25 - warranty repair request received 4/25 - repair assigned to the driver who delivered your shed 5/8 - driver contacted you to schedule the repair 5/13 - repair attempt made. Driver determined the building was level, but the door threshold needs to be replaced by the builder 5/16 - driver submitted this feedback to the home office warranty repair team 5/20 - warranty repair team assigned the threshold replacement to the builder Unfortunately, it appears that the shop did not make contact with you to schedule the repair. Our Territory Manager has said that he spoke with you on Friday 5/31 and he subsequently contacted the builder to make sure they follow up. Our VP of Warranty Repairs also contact the builder today (6/3) and required that they contact you today to schedule this repair. We've asked that they complete the repair by Friday. If you do not hear from the shop today regarding the scheduling of the repair, please do not hesitate to contact the home office again to let us know. (615) 890-8075 We hope to have this resolved soon so that you can finally enjoy the use of your new building...and we apologize for the inconvenience that the repair issues and communication gaps have caused.   I purchased not leased my 12X24 Building in January 2024, and finally received it late March 2024. When it was placed in the spot, I needed it in, the driver and I opened it up, and it had a 10"X12" hole in the floor, and I upgraded to the 3/4 in floor. The driver looked at me like I was crazy and didn't think it would be important before he delivered it to check it out prior. Well, it's almost the end of April 2024, and I still have a hole in my floor, and can't put anything in it till its fixed. Not sure Old Hickory understands I bought this large building to get my stuff out of storage, and not have to pay $300 dollars more per month. If I could turn back time, I would have them refund me the $12,000 dollars, take the shed off my property, and purchase from someone else that has a sense of urgency.

  Dear *****, We're very sorry to learn that your building arrived damaged and that you hadn't received timely follow-up communication from the repair person. We received your warranty claim on 4/12 and assigned it to the local repair team. According to our policy...they were supposed to reach out to you within 7 days of having the repair assigned to them...but it appears that didn't happen. We have been told that they did reach out to you within the last couple of days and they're scheduled to make the repair tomorrow (4/27). We have also spoken with the manufacturing shop AND the driver to review how the damage was caused and how a damaged building was ultimately delivered to you. We've reminded them to always do a QC check before hauling a building so that this type of situation doesn't happen again. We regret that it happened to you and apologize for the inconvenience it caused. Hopefully the repair goes smoothly and your building will be in good working order this weekend.   Horribly company. We received our shed on Wednesday 17 April 2024. When the driver took the tarp off roof, shingles were missing. He made note of it, and took pictures. Almost an entire row of shingles were loose. Rained a little and roof leaked. Now we have a tarp on the brand new shed. NOBODY cares. One person said fill out warranty form. This company does NOT stand by their products. What a shame. If I could give them a zero, I would.

  Add to review. I would like to know who answered my previous complaint. You don't believe in identifying yourself. Was told by Sandy, in your company, no warranty paperwork needed. She was supposed to have Mr. B******* call / or even said he'd come by. zip. nothing. nada. Today Sandy said vehicles were not in service. Then it as short staffed.
