I drove my car in on November 3, 2022 to have a leak checked. I went in on November 4th to retrieve my vehicle because the location told me the cost to repair a leak would be $3,000 and when I arrived to get my car it would not start and had been starting fine prior to being left at this Firestone station. ** inquired as to what happened and I was treated terribly. The mechanic, the team members, and the management basically told me to go away and it was my problem and not theirs. I was told there is not a corporate number for me to call so that i could try and seek further resolve and hold them accountable for causing an issue that i did not have before taking my car to them. Every time I have visited this location they tell me I need $3,000 to $4,000 worth of mechanical work which is not true. I have taken my car to the dealer after Firestone examined it in past situations and been told that the issues they are trying to charge me for are not needed at the time that Firestone has told me that they are needed immediately. I do not expect for them to fix my leak without pay but I did expect to get my car back running and in the same shape I left it in when I left it with them. I have made multiple attempts to reach management above the local store level and to this date no one has tried to assist with resolving my issue or even reached out to me at all.Initial Complaint

On September 16 I took my **** ********** Jetta in to Firestone in Williamsburg to get a hose replaced. Car was drivable and they drove it in shop. No problems. my car was in shop for about a half an hour and then the mechanic came out and said he had a problem. He said after he took off hose the next one broke. He talked me into getting more done because he wanted to do the job the right way. I called many times to get updates when my car was going to be ready. Each time was different. One time it was waiting for a part. Another time it was trying to get a diagram to put back together. I was not offered a rental car. 3 in a half weeks later I get a phone call they did all they could do and that they were towing my car to ******* ********** in ************.The lady at Firestone said we're putting everything in your car that we ordered vand if they can use it fine if not that's fine to. So that tells me they really didn't know what they were doing. I did get a rental car for 2 weeks and *************************** said I really didn't have to get you a rental car I was just trying to help you out. So all they want to do is pay for towing and rental car. I feel it was there mistake they either need to fix my car or do a settlement of my cars worth,taking ubers,and the inconvenience to me of missing doctor ****** Going to the grocery store and picking up my prescriptions. All this could of been avoided if you would of said you can't fix my car. The bottom line is Drove car to Firestone they worked on it they towed it Dealership because car doesn't run.Initial Complaint

I scheduled a appointment for a oil change and to check a leak coming from the coolant reservoir. I was called by the Manager and he stated the leak was coming from the water pump and some type of substance was in the coolant reservoir and it would cost $1143.00 to complete all jobs and he would need to order parts that would be in on Friday. On Friday I was called again by the manger that my car also needed a new water pump housing because it was leaking as well that would cost an additional $697. I told the Manger let me call him back and figure some things out first. Two hours later I received a text message saying my car service was complete. Unable to call Friday due to store closed upon receiving message. On Saturday I go to pick up my vehicle with the charge of ******* only to have my check engine light on that was not on when I took it and the old coolant still in the reservoir that I had been charged for a coolant flush/seal treatment as well of not completing water pump replacement. I complained to the front counter guy that I didnt authorize the repair because it was no reason to repair one leak and not the other only to spend **** and the car not fixed. He told me I had to pay the money to get my car out regardless and the Manger would not be in until Monday. Car leaks more and faster since the so called repairs not made by Tired plus. On 6 23 2022 I brought in my 2011 ***** Tahoe to get my rear brakes changed. The store called said I needed new rotors too. You don't tell customers you don't have the rotors turned which can be done. So you scammed me on that one. Then a call back saying my calipers needed to be changed. I told them I have never in my life ever had to change calipers and that they needed to pry them back to get them on. After a bit they called and said they still couldn't do it. So I have my Tahoe in the air that couldn't be moved at all until calipers were installed. So you scammed me there. So here comes the part of proof that your tech was an absolute idiot and that I didn't need to pay for calipers and he was such a moron he didn't know how to open calipers. In Aug my transmission went out and required a rebuild. Imagine my sunrise in the second week when the transmission shop called to tell me I was missing a rear caliper bolt and they had to order one just so they could put it to even drive it for a test run after repair. So I had been driving around for a couple of months, unsafely, because of your idiot of a tech. After I picked up my Tahoe I did go to the beaumont ** store on ******** and they refunded the money for the bolt. I didn't need calipers your tech was a complete idiot that doesn't know how to open them up and it's easier to charge the customer for them, obtaining them from a part store already open. I want a complete refund of the calipers now that I truly know your tech was an idiot. I am including a photo of the transmission bill that shows the caliper bolt charge.Initial Complaint

I went to the ********************************************************* on 11/12/22, invoice number is ****** to have a break inspection done. Without my permission the shop removed my air filter and attempted to sell me another one stating my air filter was bad and needed to be replaced. I advised the shop that my air filter was just replaced and should be in working order. While driving home after leaving the shop, I noticed my engine sounding louder then before I took it to firestone. When I arrived home, I received a call from the shop stating they forgot to put the air filter back into the car. My car is not working correctly, I believe dirt got into my engine valves and they did something to my brakes because the brakes sounds worse than before I took the vehicle to the shop.Initial Complaint

My husband and I went in to have an oil change, wheel alignment which we have the lifetime paid plan and a tire rotation. We also had the inspection promo that they were offering done for $9.99. Dropped our vehicle off at 10 am which was our appointment time. When we walked in, the waiting area was full and there was a line of 2 people ahead of us waiting to be checked in. The only person that was signing people in also had to answer the phone. While we were waiting to be checked in, the phone rang 3 times and all of those people had to be put on hold because the poor guy at the counter was trying to waiting on the line of customers. No one else was helping him. The manager was to busy walking around with paperwork in his hand before he finally decided to help out. This appointment was made in advance and when we finally got our turn, we were told that the alignment machine that we paid a lifetime service for is out of order again. This is not the first time that we have been told this and we now have to take our vehicle somewhere else to get it aligned and pay out of pocket. We had to do this previously for another appointment and had to pay out of pocket for that one too. Found out that this seems to be a common thing with Firestone because they are not making any money on this service. We paid for this and expect it and so far have had to go elsewhere to get it done. The next issue is that since we did not have an alignment done, we only had an oil change and the other services we requested done. We did not leave until after 1 pm. It took over 3 hours for an oil change. We were just there in the spring when we were told the alignment machine down and a different manager was there and now they have another manager. Won't be going back since there is always an issue every time we go. My husband is done with Firestone and we want a refund for the lifetime wheel alignment since we can't seem to use it because the machine seems to always be done. Not going back.Initial Complaint

On Mar 24th I had brake and tire service done. The day before, I was given a qoute of $1506.32. The next day I dropped the car off to be fixed. The manager ************************* helped me behind the counter. He said I should sign up for Resolv ($75 a month for 12 months)and that it would come out to be the same *** if I just paid the car in full that day. I said okay...if it comes out the same then why wouldn't I. He took my debt card and said he would wait to charge my car until I arrived back to pick up my car. He said there is an email that you need to sign ...so in front of him I scrolled down to sign my name. I never saw anything about price on there. It was suppose to be $75.(he charges my card before I got to the store) I get a email later that says I will be charged $151 a month. Double the ***. I call the store right then and they said I will have to ask about it when I get there. I get there and he brings up the total to show me how much I will be charged. An extra $1000. I ask him to remove membership and that I will just pay the full *** that I was quoted. He refused and said he couldn't. He apologized for saying it would be $75 that he had never done that before. I said please remove it . I want to pay the *** I was told. Complete refusal. I asked to speak to his manager. He gave me her number and C.S number. I went home in tears shaking. I have never had someone do this to me ever. I talked with ***************************** 2 days later. She said it would be taken care of and that she will give me a call back. I never heard from her. I called customer service at least once a week for the past 7 months. Trying to get someone to give me a call back. Never. I was getting transferred between bridgestone and resolv. No one wants to take ownership. $151 is still getting taken out of my account. Then I call this week and they tell me my complaint has been closed and that it was resolved. I can't believe this is happening. I was swindled.Initial Complaint

Took my wifes car to Firestone in ********** ******* in early September for a simple fee tire rotation and when they were supposedly finished I went to.get into.the car and noticed that they never put my wheel covers back on. I went back inside and told **** what was happening. They scurried and rushed to get me out of there after I told them of their error. Trusting all was good, got home and discovered 3 of the 4 wheel covers were scuffed up.badly after I had just replaced them about a month back which costs 260+ dollars from ******* I have an email trail.a mile long from Firestone customer service with a promise to.help for over a month and a half to no avail. Please help my family and I as we aren't rich, trusted them as a consumer for many years and they seem to just care less about any of the situation.***********************
