I had never parked in in this garage before but I had jury duty and I parked here because it was a close-to-the-courthouse option. I assumed that it was like all other unattended parking garages I've ever parked at and that I had to pay when I left the garage based on the amount of time I stayed. There is NO signage anywhere in the garage that says to pay when you arrive/park. There is a sign saying to pay at the kiosk on level 1. When I returned to the garage after jury duty, I looked for a kiosk on level 1 and could not find it, but there was a sign with instructions to pay on the website, which I followed. I paid $8 plus the $0.50 service fee, which was what I expected to pay for the time I was there. I then went to level 2 to retrieve my car and saw that there was a violation notice on it - I was surprised because I had no way of knowing that I was supposed to pay at the time I parked my car and not at the time I left the garage. I disputed the violation online, explaining the confusion from lack of signage and including an attachment of the payment receipt evidencing proof of payment. I received a response from a noreply email address stating that there was no evidence of the violation being issued incorrectly and that there was no payment associated with my license plate. The response did not acknowledge the proof of payment I uploaded as part of my dispute. The online dispute process is no longer available when I visit the website and there is no contact information provided on the website, violation notice, or in the noreply email I received from SP Plus, so there is no way I can further dispute this violation. Fearing for my credit, I decided to pay the $38 fee, but I feel that I am being ***********************'d. I believe I am owed $38 from SP Plus because they did not set forth the non-standard terms of payment and they failed to acknowledge the payment I made for their service.Violation No. ***************; License Plate *******Business Response

I was sent a collection for a parking ticket, however the place where I was parked was not the place they took the photo of the sign. You can see in the photo, I am parked on the grass outside, at my college campus. The photo they took of a 'no parking' sign was located inside of a parking garage somewhere, posted on a metal pole. I have re-visited the area and there is no sign. I would like to dispute my ticket. Violation #***************Business Response

The payment signs are on both sides of the lot - off of Cumberland and the alley. The "garage sign" is for the adjacent parcel that is part of the lot. As a 1x courtesy the violation has been reduced the the daily parking fee since you were clearly parked on the lot. Please go to violations.spplus.com to pay the outstanding amount, thank you.Initial Complaint

Violation number ***************.
The vehicle may have been briefly parked in a vacant lot adjacent to a business during business hours. There is no signage indicating it is a paid parking lot and therefore no agreement for payment was entered into, either expressly or implied.
The SP Plus website claims to offer the ability to dispute online, but that option in fact does not exist.
SP Plus included a photo of a sign requiring a monthly parking permit. However, this photo was taken inside a parking garage at another time, date and location and appears to be a fraudulent implication as it relates to this issue.
We are requesting that SP Plus immediately cease and desist its efforts to collect on this issue.Business Response

You were clearly parked in the lot and did not make a payment. There are signs on both end of the lot. The section of the garage located adjacent to the lot is an extension of this location so that is why that picture is included.
We never recevied a violation dispute previously. THere are instructions listed on the back of the ticket you received. Thank you.

No ticket was received. I have four kids ages 18, 19, 21 and 23; if you can determine who parked there, send them a ticket. Leave me out of it.
The photo taken inside a parking garage is not relevant.

The driver was not present when we issued the citation. Since the vehicle is linked to your address that is why you received the letter. Whoever had your chrysler with plate ****** on July 9 and 5:49 was driving the vehicle. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I was wrongfully cited a ticket on 8-21-2022 at 1:27 am. Violation number: ****************. This street my best friend lives on and I Park on this street every time and since then without any problems. There is no "no parking sign" on the street and there were cars parked behind me without a ticket. The reason for my ticket was "non payment" for a parking ticket I never purchased since its a free public street to park on. The false "evidence" they used was my parking permit pass thats stuck to my dash of my car for the apartment I LIVE IN. How am I getting fined to pay a parking ticket for my parking permit pass at my apartment complex. I also have a resident card on my dash to show my residency but they ignored that and unfairly fined me anyways. I have tried to file for a dispute but have had no help. This is an unjust ticket that I shouldn't have to pay.Business Response

I visited the ********************** on August 27th and parked in Lot 72938. After parking, I went to pay at the kiosk posted near the entrance to the lot. The kiosk was not functional. When I initially walked up to the screen, there was no display, when I pressed buttons on the kiosk to start a transaction, the display would briefly pop up and stay for a few seconds before disappearing and going dark again. I attempted using the barcode that was present on the kiosk to pay on my phone but that wasn't working either, so I left and went about what I came to the pier to do and returned approximately a couple hours later to find a parking citation with a charge of $42!! There were four other people at the kiosk who also couldn't pay because it was non-functioning and a lady there who appeared to work for the company said that since the ticket was already issued, the only thing I could do was dispute the citation. After I got home I went on the website, I went through the dispute and received a response a few days later saying that the dispute was not approved. Outrageous! They are outright citing people without even having working machines! I only wish I took pictures of the people trying to use the kiosk and it not working.Business Response

I arrived at Findlay parking lot at 11:00AM on 8/25/22. I was eating at a restaurant that opens at 11am. Attached is the receipt from the restaurant. I ordered at 11:06. I paid my bill at 11:31. I took another picture inside my car and the time with both receipts is 11:44AM. The first hour is free to park in this lot. I received this ticket on my windshield 240 seconds after parking. As you can see, the parking ticket says 11:04AM. This is absolutely ridiculous. I attempted to dispute this with the parking company and their only response was that they couldn't do anything about this.Business Response

The the citation was upheld because the Free for the 1st Hour Rate is only Monday - Friday and 8/25 was a Sunday.

8/25 was a Thursday and not a Sunday. I don't know what calendar you're looking at. Try again. 8/25/2022 was a Thursday!Business Response

My apologies, you are correct, I was looking at a September calendar when I looked at the dates. While the first hour is free, you still have to get a ticket from the machine so we know when your parking time started for the "free" hour. With no ticket, we have no idea how long you have been there. This is why you received the violation.
Sincerely,

I accept the apology and understand you looked at the wrong calendar month. Secondly, if you've ever used your machine you would know that it doesn't print out a tix if you select 1 hour because the first hour is free. You walk up to the machine, put your credit card in and hit one hour. The balance is zero and unless you select tix....which is not required then I wouldn't have received one. I sent 2 receipts indicating what time I was there and what time I left.Initial Complaint

I was given a parking citation despite having a parking pass CLEARLY displayed on my vehicle. The photos that this company took of my car show the parking pass I had displayed (I've attached THEIR image). I still have the parking pass in possession (photo also attached) - this was issued by ***********, the hotel adjacent to the parking lot. There is no way to dispute the citation online although it states that I can. Now they are threatening to report to collections. The only phone number I could find for this business is a recording with no voicemail available or way to connect to a live human. August 15th will be 45 days since the citation which is the date they are threatening to report to collections. I am not paying this and will retain a lawyer if not resolved.Business Response

It was communicated with the customer on August 15th that the parking for the hotel was in a different location than where she parked. That is why she received the citation.

I had to help at the event ******** ***** ****** pageant and the parking lot had 2 booths with no one in it but had to use a credit card to pay, I only had cash at that time so I went in and asked and was told I can go online and find the parking lot through another website to pay or when I leave I can pay with my sisters card if no one is in the booth. I did not know which parking lot that was because the street address was different so I didn't want to pay for it if it was legitimate. I got there at 8:00am left at 4:59 I bought a day ticket for $10 when I was leaving bc I intended to pay for my parking bc I didn't want to get a ticket for something like that and then found the $75 parking violation on my vehicle. That is bad business to give someone a parking violation 29 minutes after they park but no one is on site for problems people have with the machine or for people who only have cash bc they don't have a card on them. I am requesting that they accept my dispute now they denied it once. But I tried to contact someone right away but the lady on the phone said I needed to email. How can they price gouge a $65 difference ? I had all intentions to pay when I left the event but I had to get a card for the machine.

On July 22, 2022 at 6:19AM at parking lot located at************, San Francisco, CA 94109 I was wrongfully ticketed for $70 despite I paid for the parking via **** ******* app. (Proof attached).
I was given a ticket which shows ***********. instead of ***********. It is obvious that parking officer didn't know where he is actually located. I am attaching proof that I was actually at the right place. When I tried to log in to their portal to dispute the ticket I saw that they have removed all ways of communicating with them or filing for a dispute. It says that you can dispute the ticket on the right side and there is nothing on the right side that actually allows to dispute. I rented this vehicle from ********** and need to resolve this issue asap, before rental company charges my credit card for it.
