I parked at SEC 8TH AND VINE 786 parking lot for a meeting on 11/10/22 around noon, and went to kiosk to pay. I paid at machine via Credit card and inserted my card and waited until it said remove card. After removing card, screen went back to beginning so I assumed I was good. I read that I did not need a receipt so didnt look for one. I have since looked at my CC and it looks like it did not go through. I sent a dispute immediately on 11/10 to address the parking ticket I received. I have not heard back from the company and there is no way to find out status (email is a no reply one). I refuse to pay the $54 violation since there was fault at the kiosk. I am willing to pay the full day fee of $14 since I parked there a little over an hour. I have tried to get this reconciled and do not want this violation sent to collections, but also think it's unreasonable to pay a $54 fee. Please help.Customer Answer

Per I system, I believe this issue has been resolved. On November 24th the dispute was responded to and $40 was removed, leaving the $14 parking fee. A few hours after that payment was made and so it is cleared. If there are any other issues, please let me know.

Violation #*************** 11-2-2022 I paid for three hours of parking at 7:29 pm, minutes from the time I parked my vehicle. A ticket for three $5 violations was placed on my vehicle within a couple minutes of me parking and paying the parking fee online as the parking sign in the parking deck instructed me to do. How do you have any violations, much less three violations within minutes of parking and paying for parking? Very underhanded company that ** left to assume routinely conducts business and his way. I have filled out an online form, attempted to find an attendant on site last night, and called the company direct and was transferred to the wrong department and eventually hung up and on. No customer service. Very disappointed in my experience with this parking company.Business Response

The dispute filed with SPPlus was done so on November 2nd at 8:54pm. We always ask that people allow an appropriate time for these to be received, researched and responded to before a BBB compliant is made. This violation was voided and an email would have been sent to this fact on November 4th, less than 48hrs from the dispute being made. I understand customers being upset, but please allow a business time to respond to a dispute before filing another one.

I parked at ************************************ on 11/2/2022, in at 12:54PM and out at 1:55PM as the ticket shows. However, I came back for my car on time at 1:53PM (under the hour, which costs $40). Another customer was resolving an issue and the associate working did not get to me until a few minutes later which resulted in ticketing me for 1:55PM on paper. As a result, The system charged me $47. The associate said there is nothing he can do as its by the computer but I would like a refund of $7 since I was back to my car within the hour. The lack of service at the parking lot prevented me from ticketing out in time. Please advise at **********************Business Response

I checked into ********* Hotel in ********* at approximately 11:00am on October 26, 2022. I parked in the parking garage on the 5th level. Upon checking in I asked about parking and was told that if I parked in front of a QR code I would be charged. I immediately went to move my vehicle and noticed a ticket. I was only parked there for 20 minutes and feel that this ticket should be dismissed.Business Response

When I look the citation number up that was provided, I do not show payment. You referenced in your complaint about providing bank statement proof. I am not sure if that meant it was provided in the complaint or to someone else but that information would be helpful is resolving this. Was it paid online or mailed in? Please advise so we can research further. But please know that nothing has been reported to the ************* so there is no correction on it to be made.

I have been parking in SP+'s *********************** since November 2021. I have had to deal with a white liquid leaking onto my car three separate times. The liquid does not come out with a ************* and has required professional detailing. The stains on my windshield are still there and will require further attention. I have attempted to get in touch with SP+ more than twelve times. I've emailed their customer care account more than four times, have called and left more than five voicemails, and have filed a claim. I received one phone call in mid-July claiming someone would follow up. They never did. It is now mid-October and I have yet to receive a response. I cancelled my parking with them today will be taking legal action.Business Response

Friends and I went to ****************** on 08/27/22 Location# *****. Citation# *****1661611973. Arrived at the lot around **** for an event that started at **** so were in a rush to get on the beach, and saw that we could pay in advance from the information on the sign, and via text/website/** code, so we took a picture and headed off. Upon attempting to use text/** code there was no success via the text method, and the ** code resulted in an error page that stated location# ***** was closed. Given that the lot technically opens at ****, this makes sense, though we were unaware that there was an issue because the signs at the lot said we could pay in advance, and we were left to assume that the lot was actually closed and therefore did not make any further attempts to pay. We returned to the car later at ~**** to pick something up and visit a nearby store on foot, and found the parking citation. We pulled up the webpage again after realizing the lot might have been advertised as closes because we checked online before it was 'open', and it was still advertised as closed. We were frustrated, went to the convenience store, and returned through the lot to find an employee checking the lot and issuing citations, and asked for clarification. She didn't have an answer for us regarding the webpage, but stated that the kiosk was the only way of paying in advance apparently, which we didn't pursue because we were in a rush and were under the assumption that we could pay in advance from our phones, and were ultimately deterred from the lot being advertised as closed. My attention has been occupied since but will be paying the citation today due to the deadline approaching, though would prefer resolving the citation retroactively if possible, and if applicable.Business Response

I park at ****************************** in ********, ****. This is owned by my employer, ******************* Company. I have parked in the same space for 28 years. In 2021, after SP ********* took over the parking lot next to ours, every employee of the company received a parking violation. Everyone responded, including myself, as this was an error. We were told there was a new person and it would be taken care of. I've called numerous times in the past year. This week I received another collection letter from ********** ********************************* LLP. This harassment needs to stop and this "violation" needs purged as they said it would be. I am the only employee still receiving these collection letters. The last time I phoned I was told not to worry about it that it was an error and would be corrected.Business Response

***************************** is correct in that this was an erroneous citation issued by mistake. However, this BBB complaint is the first she has ever communicated with SP+. The citation was not appealed and for that reason, it was turned over to a collection agency. I have voided the citation and removed it from collections. This issue is resolved and no further action is needed. See attached for proof of voided citation/ removal from collections.

I appreciate the voiding of the violation. I suggest in the future that lots marketing a mobile option for payment (QR Codes) account for the amount of time it takes to walk to the code, the website to load (especially during events when bandwidth is spread thin), and payment to process before issuing violations.Initial Complaint

I visited Nashville for the first time on Monday, Sept. 5th for an appointment near the Broadway St area and found a small parking area on ********* called ******************. I saw they had a pay kiosk and a poster with a ** code for digital pay as well. I tried the kiosk first and the screen wouldn't come on the first time, just flickered like it was glitching. I tried again and it came on but when I entered my information it wouldn't submit, it would just stay frozen. I switched to scan the ** to try online payment and either the code wouldn't scan or when it finally did the website would not load, it kept giving me an error. I did this at least 3 times. At the point I started to feel like this was sketchy, but I needed to make my apportionment, so I texted the number for the link to the website and got no reply at all so I left, because I was now running late. Tried to pay online as I was walking to my apportionment but still would not load the website or got a link to the website. I returned about 30mins later and saw a citation for $90 under my wiper,a large crack on my windshield and with huge scrapes on my rear bumner!! This was RIDICULOUS! I left my vehicle parked for a short stay with no way to pay for parking because NONE of the methods available worked at all and I come back to my car damaged and a fine?! I've called the SP Plus Corporation at ******************************************************************************* ************** and I'm either on hold for hours at a time or when I do speak to someone, the call "conveniently drops" or I get transfered to another department and get put on hold again. This whole situation is absurd. Parking guests should not be getting fined because this business can't maintain their machines or website properly. Other reports here on the BBB complaints also note similar issues and the ****** rating for this location is a 2.1, with nearly every single review being 1 star all describing the terrible service and payment attempt issues!Business Response
