Horrible company with laughable business practices. Charging customers more because they decided not to pay taxes FOR YEARS. MILLIONS of dollars currently owed to the IRS. Hope this place goes bankrupt.
They trap customers into a 12 month contract if sold by a door-to-door representative then charge that “initial discount” if you try to cancel your account. Easiest ways to get out of said agreement without having to pay a “early termination fee” would be to create a fake piece of mail with an out of state address on it and tell them you moved. You will have to email in a photo of that paper, but they are instructed to cancel your account in that scenario. Also, reservices are unlimited, so if you have a bi-monthly agreement, call in and ask it to be changed to quarterly, then just get a free reservices each month. They also use the same products as most pest control companies, but definitely over charge you for the service. My advice, get out as soon as possible and DO NOT sign anything!!

      THIS COMPANY URBAN EX
THIS COMPANY TOOK MY MONEY OUT OF MY CARD WITH OUT MY PERMISSION!.AFTER THE SERVICE WAS CANCELLED. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL CALLS FROM DIFFERENT REPS AND I TOLD THEM I'M NOT PAYING FOR THE SERVICE. I DID NOT GIVE THEM PERMISSION TO TAKE THE MONEY OUT OF THAT INITIAL CARD. IF A CUSTOMER HAS TOLD YOUR REPS THEY ARE NOT PAYING FOR THE SERVICES.. THAT MEANS THEY ARE NOT GIVING YOU PERMISSION TO RUN THEY CARD. YOUR COMPANY URBANEX HAS THE RIGHT TO TAKE THE ACCOUTN TO COLLECTIONS..OUT OF NOWHERE TODAY I SPOKE WITH A REP AND DID NOT TELL HIM HE CAN RUN THE PAYMENT ON MY CARD OR GAVE HIM PERMISSION. SO YOU TAKE MONEY OUR OF PEOPLES CARD WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT AFTER THEY HAVEN'T GIVEN PERMISSION SINCE THE SERVICE IS CANCELLED? IF A CUSTOMER DOESNT PAY YOU CAN SEND THE ACCOUNT TO COLLECTIONS. THE INITIAL SALES PERSON MISLED ME WHEN HE CAME IN TO MY FRONT DOOR ABOUT HOW IT WORKS.
UNDER FEDERAL LAW: YOUR COMPANY DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO TAKE MONEY FROM PEOPLES ACCOUNT INITIALLY AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPS A CUSTOMER OUT OF THEIR OWN MOUTH SAYS THEY ARE NOT PAYING FOR THE SERVICE.

We apologize for any frustration this has caused. We strive to ensure all cancellations are processed smoothly and efficiently. On August 10, 2024, the customer enrolled in Urbanex's bi-monthly Pest and Rodent services through one of our door-to-door representatives. The customer signed the service agreement and initialed the billing section, indicating their consent to be charged for services rendered. The agreement states: “I authorize Urbanex, together with its affiliates, designees, and other service providers, to electronically debit or charge my payment method for the applicable amount as services are provided. I agree that no prior notification may be provided. I understand that this preauthorized electronic transfer is to remain in effect until I contact Urbanex and remove my authorization.” As the account is now 60 days past due, and the customers card was still enrolled in our auto-pay program, we processed a charge for the outstanding amount related to the services provided in August. The customer has since contacted our office twice, during which we explained the reason for this charge. I have also emailed a copy of the signed agreement to the customer.

We had such a wonderful experience with Dan F. His professionalism and customer service was outstanding! He had a lot of knowledge when he came to spray our home! This was our first time using pest control but Urbanex and Dan exceeded our expectations!

I was initially skeptical, as most would be, when a salesman knocked on my door with the classic pitch: "We're in the neighborhood and have a great deal if you sign up today." Despite my reservations, I decided to give them a try—and I'm so glad I did.
I wanted to wait until after the second treatment to write this review to ensure the follow-up was just as good as the first. I can confidently say the service has been excellent.
Kat, the service technician, has far surpassed my expectations. She is hands down one of the most customer-focused professionals I’ve worked with in a long time. Her professionalism and attention to detail are truly commendable. During the initial visit, she meticulously removed all the spider webs from around the house and treated the area. Over a month later, only one tiny web reappeared, which speaks to the effectiveness of the treatment. Kat just completed the second treatment, and once again, she exceeded expectations.
If you're on the fence like I was, give them a chance—you won’t be disappointed!

Blake from Urbanex came out and explained what he was doing for a routine treatment very courteously. He was meticulous with sweeping for webs, and took care not to damage my Halloween decorations. Blake’s favorite Halloween movie is Jason. Thank you Urbanex for being professional and personable.

We apologize for any frustration this situation may have caused. We are committed to ensuring that all cancellations are handled promptly and efficiently. After reviewing the account history, I would like to provide a summary of the relevant details. The customer subscribed to our Pest and Rodent service through a door-to-door sales representative on July 15th, 2024. Our representatives are thoroughly trained to conduct their interactions with integrity and professionalism. On August 15th, 2024, the customer contacted our office outside of regular business hours, leaving a voicemail indicating that the technician had not completed the work on the yard a month prior. We attempted to return the call the following morning, leaving a voicemail. The customer also sent an email on August 15th, 2024, stating that they believe no payment should be due, due to incomplete service. We made further attempts to reach the customer on August 19th, 2024, through another voicemail and email, requesting that they contact our office to resolve the issue. Despite our continued efforts to address this matter, we have not yet received a response. We remain eager to resolve this issue and would appreciate the opportunity to discuss it further with the customer.

Absolutely the worst company ever... Please be warned!!!
This company hires boys to do their sales speech and then doesn't honor what they say.
They come late at night and don't take " no" for an answer! They told us after we told them we just signed up with their competitors that they would take care of our early termination fee and price match the monthly fee while giving us free added services as well!
When I called to figure out the transfer I was told it would be $325 to cancel the competition and that Urbanex would only cover $150! And it would only be in credits.
These guys are saying that the sales manager agreed to this but there was one person at the door.... Not the manager and Jeff, this so called lead Manager , is writing notes that we agreed to something we never agreed to and won't let us cancel with them without a fee even though his crew is completely lying to everyone.
Do not trust this company! I have told my 1200 home neighborhood about this as well as ******... Hoping go spread the word so these people can be stopped!

We apologize for any frustration this has caused. We strive to ensure all cancellations are processed smoothly and efficiently. Upon reviewing the account history, I would like to summarize the key details regarding the customer's subscription. The customer enrolled in a Pest and Rodent subscription through a door-to-door sales representative on June 19th, 2024. Our door-to-door representatives are thoroughly trained to conduct their interactions with honesty and professionalism. On August 20th, 2024, the customer contacted us to cancel the subscription. We explained the cancelation process and the customer then began using profanity towards our account manager and stating that she never agreed to a $200 cancelation fee. We then explained that the cancelation fee is the amount that was discounted off of the initial service price. The price before the discount was $300, we gave her $200 off and only charged $100. We also covered $200 from her previous company's cancelation fee and added it as a credit on her account with us which paid for the initial service and most of her first bi-monthly treatment, leaving $10 for the customer to pay. Customer called the account manager a liar, said to cancel the account, and hung up. It is important to note that the agreement that was signed includes the payment and service schedule and clearly states in bold print that the subscription is for an initial period of 12 months above the signature line. Our cancelation policy is also included under number 8 in the terms and conditions of the agreement. We have also taken the liberty of sending a copy of the agreement to the customer for review via email.

We apologize for any frustration this situation may have caused. We aim to process all cancellations smoothly and efficiently. Upon reviewing the account history, I would like to summarize the key details regarding the customers subscription:

The customer initially subscribed to our services on July 8, 2024.

The first service was completed on July 9, 2024.

The first bi-monthly service was completed on August 14, 2024.

The customer contacted us for the first time on August 14th, 2024, expressing concerns about the service and requesting to speak with a branch manager because the technician had not completed the service as expected. Our Branch Manager subsequently spoke with the customer and explained that the technician had not sprayed the back of the home to avoid inadvertently spraying the customer, who was outside at the time. We offered to return and complete the service at no additional charge. However, the customer responded with aggressive and inappropriate language towards our branch manager. As a result, the branch manager informed the customer that an early termination fee would be applied and the subscription would be frozen, as an agreement could not be reached. The customer agreed to these terms and mentioned they would contact the Better Business Bureau. The branch manager then resent the signed agreement to the customer via email for review of the terms and conditions and proceeded to freeze the subscription and apply the early termination fee as specified in the agreement.

I would leave a negative review but this company does not dignify a negative review. An Urbanex technician sprayed my screened porch with chemicals ruining one third of it . After many failed attempts to clean it the manager Travis L****** told me they would put an insurance claim in for repair. That was six weeks ago. He has ghosted me since , not returning calls or emails or texts. I have tried to cancel but the representative won't do it without his okay . This is a terrible way to do business .

We apologize for the frustration this situation has caused. Following a thorough review of the account and discussions with our executive team, we filed an insurance claim in June 2024 for the windows. We are currently awaiting a response from the insurance company, and unfortunately, this process can be time-consuming. We will inform the customer as soon as we receive any updates on this claim.
