    We had this vacation booked for quite a few months. It was to be My two daughters, my fiancé, myself and our two best friends and their daughter. We lost our oldest on the 15th of June and didn’t know if we were even going to make it down there. We had a different cabin at first and then a few days after she passed we got upgraded to the Hatchers Mountain Retreat. I’m so thankful and happy we got the upgrade because I knew our oldest would’ve sat there on the deck and painted and drew the entire time. I knew when I seen it she would be very happy. We got pushed to come for vacation to get out of the house and remember the beautiful things in nature she loved so much. So we honestly would like to thank you for the amazing cabin and amenities. The views were some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. We lived that week as if she was right there with us doing everything we did. The cabin was everything we thought plus so much more! We can’t thank you enough!

    I loved cubs crib cabin!!! It was so spacious and cute. There was a momma bear and 3 cubs outside every single day... that is what my kids were most excited for. It had everything we need and wanted.

    Stayed from Thursday-Tuesday had a great stay ! Check in and out was especially easy ! As long as you read your directions that are sent in your welcome pack it lets you know a head of time what all is needed for a great stay ! It was awesome at bear hug hideaway !

    Friendly helpful staff help you find the perfect fit for your group. (Mary is my favorite) when you arrive it is so easy to check in. Any issues you have are resolved immediately and with courtesy. I have been going to the Smokey’s almost every year sometimes even more. Will always use American Patriot Getaways no matter how large or small our group is. Thank you for being such a great American company with ethics that so many have lost.

    I was sick in 2020 and didn't think that we were going to be able to go on vacation..the person who helped me book our cabin was awesome..the cabin was beautiful and quiet..it had everything we needed and more..can't wait to go back to pigeon forge

    We stayed at HONEYMOON IN GATLINBURG and I was pleased with the cabin and the ease of booking the stay. Great location- walking distance to downtown. Will stay there again.

    I stayed here at Lincoln logs. When we arrived we were told someone had just left to fix the water. We had water for our first 2 hours of our entire stay. I tried calling several times and did not receive a call back even after I had left 2 voicemails. I have 3 small children and luckily I had brought water bottles to drink so that is what I used to wash their baby bottles. We had to use hot tub water and pour in the toilets just to flush them. Not to mention when I pulled out a blanket to put on my child there was rat droppings all over it. I couldn’t use the washing machine because I had no water! The room my husband and I stayed in would not cool off so I slept on the couch and my husband slept on the floor. After we left I called over and over and finally reached someone to only give me attitude and tell me there was nothing he would do. I emailed about my stay and was told someone would reach out to me and after a month I’ve heard nothing. I am a business owner and I completely understand things happen but for someone to tell me there’s nothing they would do for me is just unacceptable.

    It saddens me to post this poor review. We stayed at the Big Bear Ski Haus. It was a terrible stay from day one. Hot tub didn't work but the worst of all was the cockroaches! We called for them on Sunday "Christmas Day" about the hot tub (still too cold for the roaches to come out)said they couldnt come that day which I completely understood it take care of it took them 3 days to come and say they fixed it then took them til Thursday to fill it. By Friday morning it had leaked out again. On Tuesday night we came back to see Roaches everywhere we called them and they said they would come spray the next day. Woke up this morning and still had them. I had to shake out all of our belongings and pack up so I wouldn't take them home. We left a day early and the supervisor Ashton said she is going to reimburse us the final night and 10% overall for our "troubles". My husband felt she was uncooperative and appeared to only be willing to do the bare minimum. He asked for someone above her and she said she was it she is the supervisor. We don't feel like it is fair for what we had to deal with. In my opinion American Getaways is not a clean suitable place for families to stay.

    Thank you for your note. We hate that you experienced any problems but do want to let you know that we follow up on every concern.
    As you know there was a terrible cold front and snow over the holiday. Many repair companies like the hot tub service companies were both limited by accessibility and swamped with repairs of frozen tubs and pipes due to the extreme cold temperatures that reached negative 1 in your area. Additionally supply houses are often closed for the holidays so repairs that require model specific parts can sometimes be delayed.
    Every home we manage is enrolled in a pest control program with a professional pest company for monthly treatments. That same company is also on call for us every day for any service our guests need. Our staff was happy to dispatch pest control, and automatically schedules two follow up treatments for any report of roaches.

    As stated in my first comment. I understood not getting the hot tub fixed. But the roaches were out of control and it was treated which is why we chose to leave early. And the supervisor Ashton was very rude and not accommodating at all. It was a terrible stay. And not a safe and suitable place for families.

    Maria, We had not had any report of roaches before your stay, but pest complaints are something we take seriously. We do our best to keep the woodland critters out of the homes with monthly professional pest contracts, but we also dispatch them for any guest reported concern for additional treatments. We were happy to have them address your concern during your stay, and we scheduled two extra follow up treatments as normal protocol anytime roaches are reported.

    Do not rent from American Patriot Getaways. If an emergency comes up if you get the insurance they will not refund any of your money. Renter beware!!!!!!

    Since you purchased the travel insurance you actually have coverage for most emergencies. Follow the information in your confirmation packet to make a claim with Red Sky Travel Insurance.
