Working with DR ********************** has been an atrocious experience. The house has been built to the lowest bitter and the warranty experience has been horrendous. Our 1st Year warranty had expired in December of 2024, However they still have open warranty claims 4 months after it had ended. We live in *****************, and our point of contact *******, cannot do a single thing correct. He blatantly lies and misleads us and his supervisor when confronted about it. When they have finally sent out contractors to fix our yard issue, the landscapers instead, tore the yard up and did not fix or correct anything they were supposed to do. They then left and have not been back. I would never recommend a DR ********************** house to anyone. I would give it a lower then a 1 star.D.R. Horton America's Builder

Worst builder ever! Our house is only 6 years old and its been falling apart for YEARS now! I dont know how it passed any type of inspection. Were having to gut our whole master bathroom shower because it wasnt properly sealed and now its leaking through to my kitchen. The grout in the bathrooms has separated and cracked off there is no type of sealing agent anywhere! One of my windows in my living room needs to be completely redone because of water getting in again not properly installed. Weve had to get repairs on the roof already really overall just really bad quality work this house was BRAND NEW we never expected to have to be paying for these types of repairs so soon. Poor construction with cheap materials this company does not care about the quality of their product at all! Oh and once your 5 years warranty expires they act like you dont exist at all no longer their problem. This was suppose to be our forever home but I cant wait to get out this house!D.R. Hi **** - we are unable to identify you as a D.R. ********************** homeowner. D.R. ********************** provide a limited 10-year warranty with the homes it builds in ********. I bought a ** ********************** home, after living there for thirteen months one day it was raining very hard and wind was blowing 40 mph. Water was gushing into the top of the window where the window frame meets the drywall at the top of the window. I did an online request for warranty work to have in repaired, they responded saying my one year warranty was up. That cost me $3000.00. ** **********************'s construction quality is subpar. For another example after I was moved in for about one week I notice in one of the bathrooms the pipe that comes out of the wall for the shower head had a half inch gap. The hole was bigger then the cover that goes around the pipe. They refused fix that ,it just needed the drywall guy to come and put a piece of drywall tape and finished with drywall mud. I would never buy ** ********************** home again. I give them a zero star rating. It has taken thirteen or fourteen months to get it fixed. When ** ********************** refused to fix it I caulked around the window a couple of times, it help a little bit. I had three different contractors give me estimates, when I called them to do the work they didn't return my calls. Finally I found out the sub contractor that did the work they came out did some work on it , that didn't work. They refused to come back and try to fix again. I had another contractor come out and what they did didn't work . They try to tell that the window must be bad and they wouldn't come back. I called Precision Exteriors they gave an me estimate and did the repairs six days later. It seems to be fixed. They are the only company that cared that I had water coming into my house every time the wind was blowing hard with heavy rains. The drywall damaged I repaired myself. This experience has been a complete nightmare. This only happened because ** **********************'s framing subcontractor didn't do the work properly . I hope this review saves many people from all the drama and anxiety I went through.D.R. Horton America's Builder

"America's Builder" should be a slogan filled with pride and honor. Not with this company. While I am happy to own a house, I am very disappointed with DR *********************** Poor quality and cheap supplies add to the overall disappointment. There have been several issues to include leaky pipes in the laundry room and most recently, shingles blown off our roof in a storm. While I understand storm damage, I was extremely disappointed in learning the shingles on the roof are only rated for ***** mph winds. Pretty unfortunate to a home located in storm prone areas (wind, tornadoes etc). While I assume some risk with the purchase, it would be nice if the builders would have used better quality supplies. To everyone who may read this, steer clear of DR *********************** Out of the homes purchased, this has been the worst quality.D.R. Horton America's Builder

I purchased my home from DR ********************** approximately a month ago, and unfortunately, it has been an incredibly frustrating experience. Numerous issues have arisen that should not be present in a newly constructed home. These include a backyard that has developed a sinkhole, significant drainage problems causing the yard to become a swamp, and structural concerns such as damaged joists in the attic. Additionally, I was not informed that a large green power box would occupy a substantial portion of my backyard.Despite submitting over 30 warranty requests to address these problems, all of them were deleted without resolution. I have attempted to communicate with the builder directly, but I am consistently told that he is unable to assist without an active warranty requestyet my requests continue to be removed.Given my experience, I strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing a home from DR ********************** proceed with caution and explore other options.D.R. Footer Inspection Revision Code Request:Requesting inspector with *********** and his team members ensures during the Footer Inspection the concrete company hired by any builder moving forward cuts off excess over poor when its wet and easy to remove. The stucco vendor assigned workers can stucco the footer so its painted and sealed the right way. This can potentially avoid water damage, insect intrusion and additional out of pocket expense for exterior repairs due to negligence in the future. Safety precautions and preventative measures taken are beneficial to everyone involved. I hope my request to change the Footer Inspection procedure by each council member is fully considered. The total cost to repair the exterior of my home is $3500.00 dollars. An expensive ****** to learn as a homeowner. Remembering my loss is someone elses gain from becoming knowledgeable in an area that was foreign to me has proven to be advantageous. The power of faith, tenacity, and resilience to keep on fighting for justice is what sustains me. Repairs completed by Mr. ****** ******* 30 years experience in the stucco repair business.BUYERS BEWARE!D.R. Horton America's Builder

The absolute worst company. I was told by a *** that I shouldve let my house burn down due to faulty wiring rather than have a first responder prevent my house from being engulfed in flames. They never sealed our roof and said its not standard to do the job the right way its only standard to do a half way job and sell houses.D.R. Horton America's Builder

We bought a home a year and a half ago... we have been happy with the house until this last week when our retaining wall started to fail... these are meant to last decades but instead lasted less than two years... we live in *************** and i suspect all the walls will fail soon... as many other neighbors have the same thing happening. It has been looked at and we were advised it is very shoddy work... the response from everyone was your warranty is only one year but that is like saying a wall in your house should only last one year... give me a break... DO NOT BUY IN ***************D.R. Horton America's Builder

I would Advise anyone looking to purchase a new home to ******************************* at all cost, Our home and everyone in our neighborhood has had issues with poor construction, cheap materials/products i.e. electrical outlets, light fixtures, framing materials, drainage and fencing. They also like to avoid responding to phone calls or emails, and will disagree or even refuse to honor any warranty issues with in the first couple years, making it a battle to have them repair their own mistakes. DON'T BUY FROM AN UNACCREDITED BBB COMPANY. Especially in an HOA you're just double s******* yourself!D.R. Horton America's Builder

Horrible, terrible builder! We closed December 2023 and have been fighting with them ever since about the sub par "sod" they installed at our home. Multiple emails/phone calls and finially meetings, but never their fault. The 22 other houses in this same phase of building all were involved and DR ********************** refused to replace the sod. It looks like the weeds on the side of the highway, since day one. They blame everyone except themselves, who placed sub par sod on top of rocks and weeds and wonder why it doesn't look good. Total breach of contract and negligence on their part from the beginning. I would NEVER do business with them again. Zero pride in building. Zero customer service. All they care about is slapping up homes and making the almightly dollar. Only giving one star because I have to in order to post this review. Trully ZERO STARSD.R. Horton America's Builder
