      My system has not worked since late May. I do not get any response to the tickets and there are only phone trees and AI bots. The tickets say someone will set up service and nothing happens after that. I am still paying my lease with the system not working and there is no one responding to me. The summer is the best energy generating time and I am missing out on that. The system says STATE with an orange light. Thank you.

      I leased a solar system in 2021 from Sunrun solar, which went bankrupt and was taken over in the last year by Sunstrong Management/Launch Servicing. As others have complained to your agency, Sunstrong management has not addressed my issue since 4/25-my system stopped working in December 2024. I have called multiple times, received a ticket number and requested a supervisor return my call to explain to me what exactly is being done to repair non working systemsI. have not received a response. I am writing to them to ask them to release me from my contract so that I am able to contact someone else to repair and service my system.

      One year ago I found that the ***************** system I was renting from SunPower, now SunStrong had not been operating since August 2023. No wonder my electric bills were so high. Since then I have asked them to come and fix it and all they do is want me to check the ethernet connection. I did this a year ago and nothing happened on their end. I've sent a physical letter via priority mail and once again they want me to check ethernet. I want a person to come to my house and fix this. I have been renting since 2012. I am happy to provide what documents I have. I will need to scan them.

      In July 2023, we entered into a solar panel lease agreement with Sunstrong Management. At the time of signing, we were told that temporary removal and reinstallation of the panelsfor roofing or maintenancewould be provided free of charge.Less than a year into the lease, we needed to replace our roof. When we contacted Sunstrong to remove the panels, we were unexpectedly charged $4,500 for the removal, despite the original agreement stating it would be free. We proceeded with the payment, expecting the panels to be reinstalled after the roof work.However, before reinstallation could occur, the company shut down operations and filed for bankruptcy around August 2024, canceling our reinstall. Despite this, we continued to be charged monthly lease paymentseven though the solar panels have been sitting unused in our shed for over a year.During the shutdown, we were told we would receive credits for payments made while the panels were inactive. But now that the company has resumed operations under a new name, they have refused to honor previous commitments, claiming they are not responsible for any prior agreements or compensation.We have made repeated efforts to reach customer service, but every time we calleven during posted business hourswe are met with an automated message saying the office is closed.Desired Resolution: A full credit or refund for the lease payments made while the system was inactive. Either a free reinstallation of the solar panels or a FULL TERMINATION of the lease without penalty. Reimbursement of the $4,500 removal fee, which was originally promised to be free under our lease agreement.I believe this situation constitutes deceptive business practices and unacceptable customer service. I hope the ******************** can assist in resolving this matter.

      Dear *** I am contacting you because we were with SunPower when got solar panels. No problem with them they (sunpower) went bankrupt and SunStrong took over 2 mouths ago got a high Comed bill over $200.00 for the 1 mouth called comed about bill they said it was because panels was not working. Tried to call, E-mail and no response another month went by another over $200.00 electric bill got Ai said problem was out at the house will send crew out as soon as get one to come out. Another month can't get ahold of anyone or heard anything. Frustrated can't afford these high fee. That is why we went with solar panels in the first place, called you to see if you could help us. ******* ****** ************** ****** son

      On April 7, 2025 I contacted **************************, my electric company, to investigate why my bill for March 2025 was so high. With their help, I became aware that my leased solar unit was not generating power. I tried unsuccessfully to reach the lease holder for my solar unit, Sunstrong Management by phone, so I submitted a written online request. When I heard nothing back, I again tried to contact Sunstrong, this time making contact with their customer service phone support. This was on April 24, 2025. Upon further inspection, I learned that my leased solar system had not been generating power since February 2025. Terms of my lease prohibit me from arranging for repair on my own; only Sunstrong can arrange the repair. The customer service representative assigned ticket ******* and said it would take at least 10 days to get a repair. I have called twice since then and still nobody has come out. This home is in the ************ area where temperatures are already over 115 degrees, so the cooling requires a great deal of electricity. When the solar units are working, they generate enough to break even, but without the solar working the bills are likely to approach $1,000 or more per month. I desperately need the system fixed, but there is no urgency on the part of Sunstrong.

      Background: I purchased a ******** solar system in 2023 that included access to monitoring via ********* app/portal as part of the sale. At the time of purchase, no subscription fee for ongoing monitoring was disclosed in any sales materials, contracts, or warranty documents I received.Change Notified: After ******** entered bankruptcy and its assets (including monitoring services) were transferred to a new LLC, I was informed (on [insert date]) that continued access to the monitoring platform/app would require a paid subscription fee.Expectation vs. Reality:Original Expectation: Monitoring was presented as a bundled feature of the system purchase, necessary for tracking performance and identifying ********** Requirement: Imposition of a subscription fee for a service that was never disclosed as fee-based at purchase. Legal/Consumer-Protection Basis:Under Colorados consumer protection laws (C.R.S. 6-1-105 et seq.), materially changing terms or adding undisclosed fees after sale can constitute an unfair or deceptive practice.Sales representations (written or verbal) promising included monitoring may form an implied warranty or contract term.Requested Resolution:Restore free monitoring access for existing customers who purchased systems with monitoring included, honoring original expectations.Or, grandfather existing customers at no charge or minimal administrative fee, rather than imposing full subscription cost.

      I own Sunpower solar panels. They went bankrupt and were bought by Sunstrong Connect. They put all data behind a paywall. Data that tells me and other customers if your panels are working. Unless you are watching the app 24/7, there is no way to see if your panels have had an outage until you get a bill from your electrical company. In addition, the app no longer works to see current data and there has been no customer support. They are extorting customers.

      I am rejecting this response because: you are restating your reasoning behind charging customers for something we already paid for and doubling down on your argument. The app does not consistently work and cannot be trusted to alert us to any technical failures on the part of the equipment. The infrastructure was already put in place by Sunpower before they went bankrupt. Your company changed nothing when they took over. It is the same exact app. You are extorting customers for data that is theirs.

      On January 6 2025 I filed a ticket, number *******, with SunStrong who has taken over our lease on our solar system due to my solar system not working properly. This ticket was done thru **************** a second party company that SunStrong has partnered with. After several months of weekly phone calls with **************** no one has contacted me to have our solar system repaired. We have been constantly told that SunStrong has been overwhelmed due to the amount of claims and that they are working on trying to find more service providers. In May we reached out to the original installer asking for his opinion and we found out that he has been approved to be a service provider for SunStrong but has not been contacted by SunStrong to do any service work. **** ******* is our original installer, his company *********** has reached out several times to SunStrong and they have not been given permission to fix our solar system and have been getting the same run around as I have. Part of our lease agreement has section that states that we are guaranteed a certain amount of solar production and that we will be reimbursed if the production is not met due to failure of the solar system. SunStrong now says that they are not going to honor that part of the lease agreement.       I am rejecting this response because:

       We have not been contacted by SunStrong except for a email stating that they have remotely looked at our system and confirmed that there is a problem. The email was a “no reply” email, and we have no way of knowing what they did, if they did anything. 
      Our solar contract clearly states that they are responsible for loss of production. The contract was never changed, so SunStrong is responsible for loss of production and reimbursement.

      I am rejecting this response because: I have not been contacted by anyone to repair our system yet. SunStrong sent an email on 6-11-25 stating that they could not remote fix our system and that they would have someone contact us. NO ONE has contacted us.

      I called SunStrong on 6-20-25 and they Home Services assigned to our problem but have not given Home Services permission to work on our solar system yet. As a matter of fact they sent an email to Home Services telling them that they. (SunStrong) has assigned the work to another company, but would not tell me or Home Services who.
