I received a letter from Linebarger Goggan Blair and Sampson LLP stating I owe the state of ******** 91 dollars for a four dollar toll my vehicle allegedly incurred. The date provided by the law office, does not coincide within 6 months, of when my vehicle would have even been in the state of ********. I asked the ********** to provide an ** Pass violation number and the person on the phone became verbally hostile and refused to provide any additional information. They only claimed that if I refused to pay they would seek further penalties. Now, I have an amazing driving record, have never had any unpaid violations of toll in my life, and am only asking for proof that this isn't a mistake which I believe it to be. Under the law, shouldn't this organization have to provide such proof? They have caused mental anguish in a time when I am dealing with my mother in Hospice. They should be ashamed of themselves for harrassing people without cause or proof. If they claim I was in ******** on the date in question (which I know is a lie), they refuse to provide a violation number that is consistent with the ** Pass System, and they won't even provide a location within the State - they should be held liable for attempting to strong-arm me for 91 dollars.

I received a letter about past due court fees or fines from Linebarger Noggin ************************************************ LLP dated April 19 2022 citing two separate fees that I owe the Multnomah Parking Circuit Court from 03-31-2014 (******), totaling $658.80. I remember receiving a similar fee from them years ago, and sure enough I've got a receipt from paying them $736.00 in 2018... why do they keep charging me over and over?? I haven't been to ******** ****** or driven a car there since 2014 yet I keep getting charged for a ticket I received there by Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP. I payed it off at least once, and they continue sending me bills with the text "WARNING: PAST DUE COURT FEES OR FINES". I never had any serious violations in ******** - just a speeding ticket and somehow I am getting charged over and over again for the same inflated fee. At this point they are harassing me about something I already dealt with, with the hope that they get paid again (and probably collect a huge fee from the ****** government). I have attached pictures of the payment receipt from 2018 and the new collection dated 2022. Keep in mind I haven't been to ********* Driven a car there since 2014, so no new fees could have been incurred between my payment in 2018 and my new charge in 2022 - this is just a result of this law firm's bad bookkeeping I think.

I keep getting a letter from Linbarger Goggan *********************************************** attorneys that we owe property taxes for Eagel Pass Independent School District and that they are going to get an order of sale. Guess what we don't live in or we never ever have lived in **********. This has been going on for years. RE:  Complaint ID # ********

To Whom It May *********************** letter summarizes the communication with ****************** whose wife has filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding the handling of a delinquent tax account referred to our law firm for collection by Eagle Pass ISD and other taxing units for whom the County collects taxes.

On September 24, 2012 a tax suit was filed against *******, and other parties for delinquent taxes due our clients, Maverick County and Eagle Pass ISD.  The tax amount subject of the tax suit was for a mobile home with a label number of PFS0****** for tax years 2004-2009.  According to the ***** Department of *****************************, the mobile home with a label number of PFS0****** was titled in the name of *******************  ******* was included as a defendant in the tax suit due to the fact that the mobile home was titled in his name at the time of suit filing. The other parties were named as defendants in this suit because they were the certified owner of the mobile home per tax office and appraisal records.

On December 13, 2012 ****************** contacted our office and stated that he never owned any property in Maverick County and was instructed to file an answer with ****************************** stating the same.

On December 14, 2012 ****************** contacted our office again and stated that the mobile home subject of this suit and the mobile home where he resides in ********, ***** had the same label number.  He was instructed to contact the taxing entities in the county that he resided and provide us with Statements of Account to show that taxes had been paid for the same year(s) that our clients were seeking payment for.   At that time, it appeared that there could be a mistake with the label or serial number because the mobile home with label # PFS0****** had been located in ******** County since **** according to that countys records.

On or about September 19, 2016 the law firm of ****************************, *******, ******* & ****, LLP (******) was substituted as attorneys of record for Maverick County.

On September 23, 2016 ****************** contacted our office again and stated same information as before, that he pays taxes on his mobile home in ******** County and has never resided in Maverick County.   At that time, he stated would send in a letter to our ********** Office stating that he is not the correct party for this account and that he had this same issue back in 2012 and was told it would be taken care of but it was not.

On or near July 28, 2017 ****** dismissed ******* from the tax suit.  On August 10, 2017 a Judgment was entered against the other parties named in suit only.

On October 14, 2022, a Notice of Intent to Enforce Judgment (**) letter was mailed by Linebarger to all defendants in suit as a collection attempt due to the fact that taxes are still due on this account.

On October 24, 2022 ****************** called regarding the ** letter and informed that he does not own the property in suit and has always resided near the ****** area.

On February 15, 2023 another Notice of Intent to Enforce Judgment (**) letter was mailed by Linebarger to all defendants in suit as a collection attempt due to the fact that taxes are still due on the account.

Since the filing of the lawsuit and prior to the date a Judgment entered, the ****** Law Firm dismissed ******* from said tax suit.  The firms recommended resolution for this complaint is to prepare a Partial Release of **** as to ***************** and the lienholder so that any future correspondence is directed to the defendant(s) remaining in suit.

If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact me at *************.

                                                                                          Sincerely,

      Dear ********************:

On behalf of Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP (the Firm), *************** to your complaint (********), which we received from the BBB on February 09,2023.  Your complaint regards an amount due, $60.00, to the ******************* (the Client).

On February 09,2023, the Firm received parking citation (****************) from the Client for non-payment issued September 28, 2022 for parking at a location maintained by the Client at **********************************************.

The client also sent the vehicle make, model, license plate number and State. From the available data, the firms skip trace provider provided both title and registration information in your name at the time of the violation and an initial collection notice was mailed to you on January 31. 2023.

On February 09,2023, the firm received BBB Complaint ********. As required, the Firm ceased all collection activity and then researched your claim.

Within the review process it was discovered that your time of entry into the parking facility was after 6:00 PM.  This location does not charge for parking after 6:00 PM meaning a citation should not have been issued.  The Firm advised the Client and the Client has voided this citation.

This violation has not been reported to any credit bureau or agency.

I hope this will be sufficient to satisfy your inquiry and resolve this matter. In the event you need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me. My direct dial is ************.

A few months ago I received 4 letters, 2 notices and 2 second notices, from this "firm" about unpaid tolls that supposedly happened in ********. So far I only found 2 of them and could not find the other(s). Knowing full well that these couldn't be me I decided to open the letters anyway. The first one states a vehicle with a license plate ******* MD, Ref. No. ********, letter dating from June 22nd, 2022, and for violations dating to 2016. And the second one has KSE5696 PA, Ref. Ro. ********, letter dating from Jun 21st, 2022 for 1 violation dating to October 2020. Both have different charge amounts. I first called your office in ************ as that is where I received them from, explained the reason they made a mistake, and was prompted to send a Fax detailing them to stop them from sending me these again. I am writing here now because I received 2 more documents on January 17, 2023, about the same vehicles, this time with pictures of their back. There are 2 problems here that I already explained in my fax.The first one is that I was not in the US in 2016. I have been to the US a few times but never in 2016. I only became an international student in 2020 which will explain my second problem.I do not and could not own any of the vehicles listed since I did not own any vehicle in that time period. I received my driver's license in July 2022. At first, I thought this whole thing was a scam because I am an international student and was made aware of scams within the US. I called DelDOT, and while they say that you are a legitimate attorney's office, I refused to believe that a legitimate office would make such a mistake unless it was intentional. How did you link these 2 license plates to me?I am now requesting that you stop sending me these letters as the vehicles mentioned are not mine and that you check again whose vehicles these are and do not repeat this mistake for the 4th time as it is getting annoying.
