The pool have been closed for more than a month. Nobody is giving us an answer about when are they going to clean it. We didn't receive any information about why is it closed or what is happening. There is a lack of transparency, and the pool is a common area that as students we use a lot.Business Response

Hi ******,
Thank you for taking the time to communicate your concerns. Unfortunately, a lot of the issues with the pool have been out of our control, which in turn has created a longer closure than we originally anticipated going into our Annual Inspection with the City. As it currently stands, we are on schedule for work to be performed on August 4th and from there, our hope is that we are in the home stretch to getting the pool opened back up for our current residents as well as new incoming residents. We apologize for the delay and the inconvenience this has caused.

Ranene reached out to me via email on Thursday, 7/14 after speaking with the office due to the office not being able to confirm whether they would be able to be placed together for the fall since her son ******* and his requested roommates signed later in the leasing season. ***** and another roommate signed the first week of June and the other two roommates did not sign until the second week of July. I responded to Ranene on Tuesday 7/19 due to being out of office and had a call with her on Wednesday, 7/20. I explained to Ranene that due to the time at which the leases were signed, I could not confirm whether they would be able to be placed together. She stated that she was contacted by someone in the office and that person confirmed they would be able to be placed together -- I asked for a name and she was not able to provide one. I told her that I would need to confirm with the Assistant General Manager and Leasing Manager whether this information is to be true or not. Ranene was quiet and then hung up the phone. She later emailed me and explained she was not satisfied with our conversation and did not like that I hung up on her. I emailed back and explained that I did not hang up but did confirm that they are all placed together. I followed up with on-site staff and they explained that before they could confirm this information, they needed time to check to see if it were possible and check with our Assistant General Manager and/ or Leasing Manager to see if this is something that could happen. We have made every effort to help Ranene but when our staff cannot immediately provide the answer she is looking for, she has hung up the phone and ended the conversation.Initial Complaint

I moved into ********* in the Spring of 2021. When my lease ended and I moved out in December, I sat down with their accountant and went through my final account information, where I saw numerous charges that were mistakenly put on my account. The accountant worked with me and removed these mistakes, and I made my final payment to *********. A month later, I get an email demanding me to pay rent for "30 days January", even though I had moved out in December and had already gone through my final account payments with their accountant. After going back and forth with *********, they began to threaten me so I decided to go ahead and pay $1,313.87 to get them off my back.I thought their theft would end there, but a YEAR later, they sent me an email demanding $****** regarding "the final billing of my account". They then added that they would give me a 40% discount in the amount of $559.99. I found this email to be very suspicious, and emailed back telling them I settled my account a year ago, and asked for more information regarding this "charge" and what it was for. They NEVER got back to me. So an explanation of this extra charge on top of the prior charge Bogus that I paid to just not deal with them anymore. This place is scamming and robbing students.Recently, I got a call from a debt collector hired by ********* demanding I pay my debt of $******. They already took $1,313.87 for 30 days in January that I was NOT living there. Also, they had told me prior to that I had made my "last" payment with their accountant. A year later the ask for ****** with no explanation, and after failing to get back to me, hire a debt collector to come after me. This needs to resolved with the debt collector as well.Business Response

Thank you for your email & feedback! To address the concerns noted below, by the former resident, wed like to provide additional insight to some of the matters listed.
Pertaining to the Re-Let Process and rental installments, when a resident moves out before the lease agreement is completed and re-lets their space to a new resident, the installment amount is prorated based on the date the new resident moves in. For each lease term, the installments are charged from August 1st to July 1st the following year. We do not charge both the current and new residents for any installment that would overlap. When the new resident has signed their lease and officially moved in, both the previous resident and new residents accounts are reviewed. At this time, adjustments are made to both accounts to ensure that the rental installments are prorated according based on the new residents move in date. After this has been completed, the previous resident is officially moved out of the system and are notified of their final account statement.
When a resident turns in their keys in preparation for a new resident to re-let their space, often times the prorations are not fully completed in their account, as final charges are still being assessed to the account. If the resident was to turn in their keys before the final installment was due, those charges would not appear yet on their account.
We greatly appreciate the feedback and review! We will continuously strive and work to provide not only a premier place for students to live with state of the art amenities, but the best student experience possible while they embark upon a journey and pursue their academic careers away from home!
