Awful!!!! They have 2-3 people to answer the phones so when you call you are on hold for 1.5-2+ hours despite the recording that plays over and over saying they are available 24/365 and dont outsource. Maybe they should! I seriously sat in the parking lot at work for 2 hours on hold for them to tell me mine wasnt working right. By then my car battery died and I had to ask my boss for a jump. On top of that I have had to get it calibrated at least two to three times a month since Ive had it. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemies.Low Cost Interlock

The issue for this customer was resolved. She was scheduled for a replacement for 9/28/23, no issues reported since then. A technician call back, was assigned to see if everything was going well with her new unit.Review fromJohn S

I have had chronic problems with this device. First the handset malfunctioned--did not blow properly. They replaced the cable and handset. Then, it started giving me a "pass" but when I turned the key--nothing. These scary episodes became more frequent. So last week they replaced the blocker--the main component of the device. It seemed to work like a charm--until this morning, Sunday morning, Father's Day, day before a holiday. The handset won't start up. My battery is charged. The unit is just black. Dead. It won't start up when I press the buttons on the left and right sides or the power off button. I live alone, and am stuck here. Fortunately this happened in my driveway.
For the last 25 minutes I have been waiting for my call to go through to their tech support so I can report the problem
Worse, I live 45 miles from my service garage, so I'll likely have to have my car towed there on Monday or Tuesday. Who will pay for that?
I don't know anything about the other brands, but my advice is to avoid this one like the plague.Low Cost Interlock

This has been one of the worst experiences in my entire life. I have had device malfunctions seven times between 12/27/22 & 04/06/23
Not only did these "technical issues" cause me extreme anxiety and mental duress they cost me hours upon hours of my time figuring it out and tons of money in gas they reimbursed me for $30 once when this happened 7 different times. I had no problems the first 8 months then their system showed a positive result when I had not drank in almost 2 years and still haven't drank since. When you're doing everything to abide by something and ensure things like this don't happen and have them happen anyway is beyond disheartening. This company should be shut down. They are so unprofessional for me to be given faulty device after faulty device is inexcusable. I am told different things depending who I talk to. I finally reached my removal date they told me 24 - 72 hours tops before it'd be submitted to the DMV I called today well after 72 hours to be told it will be 10 days. Whatever you do please take mine and so many others warning and go elsewhere, make sure they're not faulty and unprofessional like this place. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life. I don't even mind the breathalyzer itself it's all the faulty equipment and malfunctions. I am terrified to even drive my car now and am well past my final date of the 12 months and have to continue using this thing that I have horrible anxiety is going to malfunction every single time I do this. Don't put yourself under this type of mental anguish. I struggle with depression and was doing pretty good for a while until all this happened. I cannot even explain what this has done to me mentally I'm an absolute wreck.Low Cost Interlock

Why did your device ask me to suck back after beat? I've had problems since day one. The last 5 months with hell. Got the device transferred from one car to another, after the device was already replaced over five times, anyhow after getting transferred it's still would not stop glitching. It doesn't matter if it did not result in any violations. You robbed people of their piece of mind! I have three different videos not including every single glitch I have on video, of showing how it did not register that I was trying to blow for 4 minutes when that was the one that resulted in a violation when I told you it would! Nobody ever called me back besides andrew. I kept talking to four different people and everything written down and all of their names. But I'm not going to say their names just yet. I just want an apology for why your machine told me to suck back after blow two separate occasions in the middle of the night in the middle of a highway! That is not what your advertisement says. And I never got any call back or any apology or any explanation.! Tell me why it tells you to suck back after beef when you advertise that it doesn't. 11 months after I've had your machine already.Low Cost Interlock

Horrible customer service. No one knows what they are doing or follows up. They never even had my install on their system so when I went to the dmv I couldn’t get my license. I’ve paid over 300 dollars for nothing so far. I’m going to try and get it removed and get reimbursed and I found a way better company. I’m just appalled at the lack of care from this company. Terrible product, terrible customer service. Their device that they "value at $2000" is a piece of junk. If any other product on the market that people weren't forced to buy had a failure rate like this, they'd be out of business. Low cost interlock is sham of a company who's business model is providing the absolute minimum in product and service they can to satisfy the state requirements. They prey on folks who are down on their luck by charging all kinds of hidden fees and refusing to address complaints.
My device malfunctioned and when I tried contacting LCI, I was left on hold for over 7 hours in 2 days. I'm convinced their phone is not staffed at times and they allow people to remain on hold indefinitely. Their phone system blames Covid for staff shortages which is doubtful but either way, they should not be allowed to sign up more customers when they are totally incapable of serving the ones they have. States are feeding this company a steady stream of victims and someone is sitting back laughing at how little they have to do because the "customers" don't have much recourse and only remain for a short time.
I will be speaking with my attorney and state representative in hopes of initiating a closer look into not only these business practices but also the effectiveness of their device.Low Cost Interlock

This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. My pile of complaints is too long to list. My biggest issue is that I’ve been in trouble with the court TWICE now from their lack of “compliance” with providing the court the proper documentationLow Cost Interlock

1 star is to many. Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They have stolen 7 different credit card numbers from Me. I have called several times and ask to speak to the owner and they will not let me. They will simply put you on hold for a couple hours and then hang up. I have tried to talk to the customer service people about it. I know it's them because 4 out of the 7 cards stolen have only been used at low cost interlock. I had one person say that they were doing an internal investigation. That never happened. I am willing to bet that if you are a customer of these people your credit card number has been stolen before too. I am currently looking for an attorney to see if we can file a class action lawsuit. Trying to resolve the issues with them is a waste of your time. They will simply hang up or just put you on hold until the call drops. But if you call and say you want a new install they will answer the phone immediately. If you have had this same issue with this company please take action. They need to be shut down and all of Thier customers need to be reimbursed.Low Cost Interlock

My device was installed on 10/21/2022. The device’s screen is black and my car won’t start. I was supposed to go to work on 10/28/2022. When I went to start it the device didn’t come on. I called the company and tech support was rude and told me to bring the device in. The auto technician who installed the device and she was rude to him. When I asked what would be done, she said a device would be overnighted. I asked her if she was sure since it was Friday and I had plans for the weekend and have to be at work on Monday. When I called this morning the mechanic told me the mailing tracker says Monday at 10:31 am. Now I’m on hold and have been for over an hour. PLow Cost Interlock

This company needs to be held accountable for the lies and scamming that they do to new and current customers!!! I was with this company for less then a hour and was locked out of my vehicle due to the fact they sent me a bad machine. I was stranded for three days without a vehicle. I payed $46 dollars to set the appointment plus the installation fee payed the service center. I payed a tow out of pocket to get the machine removed. The customer service is the worst I’ve ever encountered. This happened in may I’ve been calling just about every week to speak to a supervisor. I get the same response each time. A supervisor will call me at the end of the day if not the next morning. We are now in August!!!! They scam people from their money! The product is Defective to only rob people.Low Cost Interlock
