In April 2020, I purchased a vehicle from ******** *******. I am a disabled senior who has no outside help, so I had to purchase a vehicle to get to doctors' appointments, etc. On the day of signing papers, the ***** manager never told me I would be paying a high interest rate, or a ***** dollars a day perdium for this loan, I would have never purchased it if I knew that day.. I didn't find out about the ***** dollar a day perdum until 2 years later when I tried to trade the vehicle in. i am very furious and upset. This company should not be able to take advantage of people in this way. What is this ***** dollar a day perdum for, and what does it have to do with the car or loan/This is illegal to price-gouge consumers. i want my money back immediately. i purchased a car for ****** in 2020, and as of today, 5/14/2025, the payoff is still ******. That means my car has never gone down for the last 3 years. How can a person pay off a car? The price never goes down. Please help me, this is an outrage. I want out of this contract ****. To Whom It May Concern,My name is ****** J. *****, and I am submitting this formal complaint regarding Chrysler Capital in connection to a vehicle loan that has caused significant emotional and financial distress. The loan was originated during an abusive relationship in which I was emotionally manipulated and coerced into signing the agreement under false ************ ex-partner, ******* ******, who was added as the co-buyer, retained possession of the vehicle after our separation, refused to return it, and failed to make any payments. As a result, I have been left with financial liability and derogatory marks on my credit report for a vehicle I neither control nor benefit from.I have filed an official police report with the ********************************* (Incident Report #****-04-00316) and submitted an identity theft affidavit to the **** I am also filing formal complaints with the **** and *** regarding this matter.I am requesting that Chrysler Capital cease all collections and legal threats against me, initiate repossession of the vehicle, and formally remove this account from my credit report. On April 3, 2025 at 4pm I submitted my car payment for $300, I called Santander the week before letting them know I was paying half of my carnote, and I was going to pay the rest later on the next pay period. A couple of days passed when i recieved an text message stating I fell through with the payment agreement. About, 2 days after the text message I called Santander back to see why they was calling me because I already made that payment on the 3rd of April. They stated that they did not received my payment, I checked with my bank and they stated the $300 was taken out on the 3rd of April at 4pm by Santander. They told me to fax them my bank statement which I did on the April 17th I called the next day and they stated they did not recieve my fax, but ***** stated they recieved it the same day. I called the day after that the representative stated they did recieve my fax on the 24th of April, and closed my case saying they did not see nothing to be investigationed and closed the complaint. So, the representative told me to send another bank statement, which I sent on the April 30th. At, this point I been calling every other day trying to figure out where and why my money have not been applied to my account yet they keep tell me. I called again on one of those days at the beginning of may, and I told them Im going to contact the better business bureau thats when the representatve told me he was gonna get with his manger. The manger stated and told me that she looked at my file and understand my frustation and my money will be applied the next business day, that was a lie. They keep telling me additional days thats been almost an week ago.. I been calling but nobody is helping me with this situration.Business Response

I leased a vehicle from Chrysler Capital, with an end of lease buyout option of $18,891.90, as stated on my lease contract.I sent a personal check for the above amount to Chrysler and it was cashed on 4/21/25. Chrysler did not send me the vehicle title or a lien release letter.I contacted Chrysler several times and was told there is a balance due of ******, but every customer service representative I spoke to could not figure out what that amount was for, so it was presumed to be an error that would be fixed.On 5/12/25, I contacted Chrysler and was told the error had still not been fixed; therefore I requested that a full refund of the $18,891.90 be mailed to me as soon as possible, The representative said they would not be able to send neither the money nor the title and then disconnected the call.Please advise as to how I can get this significant amount of money refunded to me as soon as possible.Business Response

I was provided a payment history page by SANTANDER USA when I discovered these misc. charges charged onto my account. When I called for an explanation to these charges I was told by ID number ****** that these misc charges were not something she could see on her end. I was placed on a hold while she spoke to her supervisor, her supervisor advised that they had submitted a resolution request. ID number ****** could not tell me what these misc fee charges were and advised it would take anywhere from 2-3 business days for this to be resolved. This bank has been unhelpful and unwilling to work with me, as far as them constantly putting late charges on my credit and then could not even tell me where these misc charges were coming from.Business Response

I am self-employed and sometimes you have to play the game of delaying a truck payment to keep employees paid. Well I did that for 2 months and was about to make my two month payment in full when I noticed $467 in late fees for two months, when their late fees are $31.12 per month. You call, they say they'll expedite with request to upper management, no call back, no fix. Then they try and offer you $100 credit. So they still make $300 on fees. Honestly a scam, try to avoid at all costs. Use capital one.Business Response

I noticed I had late payments from SANTANDER on my credit report. During these months I did not receive anything stating I was late. As you can see, majority of my payments have been on time so I am requesting the removal of these late payments from my account. I am trying to increase my score to purchase a home and would greatly appreciate if you guys can submit a request to the credit reporting agencies to remove the late payments.Business Response
